  2. Not sure where you are getting that from. That is a $53 mil AAV which would be in the back half of the top 10 in pay.
  3. This is the thing that most Panthers fans can't comprehend because we are a franchise that so rarely ever has draft success. Also, this one is still largely in question. If Tremble never really improves, he is a JAG. If Horn doesn't stay healthy or ascend, he was a bust. Then it goes from an okay draft by Panthers standards to just another bad Rhule/Fitterer draft. It's also such a strange period to be grasping at straws to try and justify as being good. Hindsight has thoroughly proven the architects of that era as being wholly incompetent if not outright charlatans.
  4. Very cool. Only 2 changes Id make. Week one should have been Jake to Rickey and week 13 should have been X Clown
  5. Today
  6. So purdys per year average according to profootballtalk.nbcsports.com pays him about middle of the road around 15th i believe. He has put up really good stats i would love to see byoung put up even his bad year stats seems like the 49ers made a solid deal with him.
  7. I wonder if we could find similar threads about Jalen Hurts from a few years ago?
  8. Teams do some super stupid stuff with mid-fairly good QBs. I think they are just absolutely terrified they will be stuck with a QB that is not the quality of the QB they have now, even if its someone like Daniel Jones. Lots of trash QBs go in the first round. I encourage you to take a look at the sad, sad list of first round QBs in the last 15 years.
  9. No, it will be a raw 6'7" 17-year-old European who just played basketball for the first time in March and who the idiot GM "had first on our board." He'll play the whole G-League season, get in 42 games for the Hornets and average 1.1 ppg on 35% shooting. Been there, seen that.
  10. We missed on Burns at his peak value. That’s the problem with trading for picks 2-3 years away (which people were convinced the Rams would suck by now and these would be higher picks btw). Each year away the pick is the further in value it drops. Fitt was clearly hired based on turning us around quickly. It’s one of the many reasons tanking isn’t really a thing as our player JJ is telling you in this original article. It would take the whole organization from the owners down admitting they aren’t winning soon with Burns and picks 2-3 years away having more value because that’s when we are still rebuilding. It would only make sense if Fitt had a longer leash and would more than likely be the ones making these picks anyway which you wouldn’t want. The question is would you rather have those Rams picks with the strong possibility of Fitt still being here or would you rather Fitt try to “win now” like he did and expedite his firing? Altering the timeline would affect more than just the Rams picks.
  11. I dont buy the idea that it would create more competitive games Given this: Seed Current Format Record Proposed Open Seeding Record 1 Lions 15–2 Lions 15–2 2 Eagles 14–3 Eagles 14–3 3 Buccaneers 10–7 Vikings 14–3 4 Rams 10–7 Commanders 12–5 5 Vikings 14–3 Rams 10–7 6 Commanders 12–5 Buccaneers 10–7 7 Packers 11–6 Packers 11–6 That would mean Wild Card round would have been Eagles (14/3) v Pack(11/6) Vikings(14/3) v Bucs(10/7) Commanders(12/5) v Rams(10/7) Instead of Eagles (14/3) v Pack(11/6) Bucs(10/7) v Commanders(12/5) Rams(10/7) v Vikings(14/3) Then with the reseed it would mean that highest remaining seed would always draw the lowest remaining team.
  12. How can your plan that has been laid out be correct when it involves the GM making the right moves and still getting fired so that a new, more capable front office and coaching staff can takeover? That is a fantasy that you're trying to present as reallty.
  13. Two starters and two backups out of 11 picks. That's a marginal draft. Great by our miserable draft history, but for teams that doesn't crap the bed most drafts, that would be an average draft class.
  14. A franchise CB, starting RB, reliable TE2, and a top OL6 is a bad draft? That doompill some folks seem to take every morning does some crazy work.
  15. I don't care about all the other pieces. It comes down to Bryce vs Caleb and this year will tell both teams have invested heavily in both
  16. Adios and good night, done talking about what we should have done but it’s weird when anti-tankers try and get back on the high horse.
  17. Yes. Fitt said he liked Young for two years. He hitched his wagon to him. Reich and Young were going 2-15, nothing I said we should get would have saved him. A new coach plus Tepper (and Morgan) would have wanted the draft assets we kept or got to be used by a better GM/Coach. SMH, you need to read my post and your own again. You said: “So we should have sold off all of our talent and what?” I was being sarcastic that they still were in the roster because the guys you are saying we shouldn’t have sold off got sold off anyway but instead of getting full value, we got scraps. We had an opportunity to sell at the highs and instead we let the stocks lose 50-75% and then sold them. Because we didn’t tank in 2022 when the Rams basically handed the idea to us, we either set the team back several years to where we won’t do anything and will be back at the drawing board or kept enough talent off the team that we may make the playoffs but we still won’t be a top team like an extra handful of 1st rounders could have gotten us.
  18. Holy poo... we have allowed the fewest goals in the playoffs, total. Including the teams that lost in the first round... lmao
  19. It was nothing. It was a nice run in an easy schedule that did nothing but lose us DJ Moore and a lot more. We were 2-15 in 2023. Based on your logic, that winning finish should have been a launching point. For as much as you want to say we shouldn’t have taken a risk, you still can’t admit that the plans we tankers laid out were proven correct. There’s no revisionist history. We said we should have traded Burns to the Rams. We said we should have sold off anything not bolted down like Brown and Horn and even Icky because they were in the 5 year plan. There is no disconnect, we tried to keep winning and draft a rookie QB and we lost about 4 1st round picks of value that could have been given to the guys you think might be the right crew.
  20. You’re assuming Fitt still gets fired at the same time. That’s the problem with all these hypothetical hindsight thoughts. If we had a fire sale so to speak I’m not sure the GM gets fired a year or two later due to a bad roster and bad record. Fitt went into win now mode, made it seem like we were only a QB away “we won’t drafting this high again” trading picks for vets etc and when he couldn’t show results he was fired. I’m sure this was all mentioned in his GM interviews. What’s his plan to turn us around and how quickly can he do it. Also you want last year’s CMC and Burns on our roster? At their price? Moving on from both was the right call, with Burns being the wrong time. If a team does a full roster strip down rebuild it can buy the GM more time as long as everyone is on the same page.
