Yeah, there were only 4 divisions when I was in HS. I honestly like it. Gives more teams and more kids and towns a chance to compete for championships.

OK, let's analyze this: Tampa Bay's last 5 games (including losses vs. New Orleans and Atlanta) November and December games: 1-5. The only win was a 3-point win vs. Arizona. Key games: Of course, if Carolina beats New Orleans Sunday, the Panthers are a game up with Seattle, and 2 vs. the Bucs. DECEMBER 21 is probably a "must win" for the Panthers vs. Tampa Bay, assuming the Panthers beat the Saints. If they lose to New Orleans, they are long shots. The Panthers are at home and are 4-2 there-with a stupid loss to New Orleans. A win could put the Panthers up 2 games with 2 to play. DECEMBER 28 is a huge date. The Bucs have Miami on the road and are home for the finale vs the Panthers. Miami has won 4 straight. The Panthers play Seattle at home. Seattle is 10-3 and 6-1 on the road. If the Panthers win, the Tampa games allows us to rest our starters. Imagine that.

Haven't followed HS football in years but seems like the NCHSAA has watered down the playoffs, 8A? 7A? I remember 4 classification, what's the reasoning from going away from 4A or 4AA system?

The refs called something like 15 penalties on Atlanta before I turned off TV. Now most of them were legit, and a lot on CB #24 covering Evans but some were also BS. I honestly thought there was no way Atlanta was winning that game. More fool me lol

I love ball. Watching other people compete in athletics is kinda weird, period if we're being completely honest. If anything, it might be weirder watching adults making millions to play kids' games.

Yup. If we lose out after beating NO & TB, we finish at 9-8. We would be tied in the H2H with TB, but would finish with a 4-2 division record vs. Tampa’s 3-3.
