  1. Past hour
  2. Leadership council sounds very cuckish. Just be the man dave and make the fuging decision. You are the head coach after all
  3. I've heard this mentioned recently. What in the actual fưck is the "leadership council". Like man we've had coaches in the past in Rivera and Fox who we have eviscerated for their decisions but never once did I hear either of them mention a leadership council when they shīt the bed on something. The Tepper's have truly done a remarkable job sustaining joke status for this franchise it's unbelievable.
  4. ::sigh:: you arent wrong and we all can see this coming
  5. We have only lost to the Stars and Knights, both teams that are in the same tier as A HEALTHY canes squad, those losses are as much about level of competition as they are the teams health..... the Isles aren't close to that level, Canes win tonight
  6. On the one hand we absolutely should heavily consider it if there is an offer made. We have Dowdle Etienne who we just drafted who has shown nice burst in few carries and we have Brooks rehabbing. We've got a lot invested in RB along with the highest paid OL in football. It's too much honestly. You'd almost forget we have a guy who was supposed to be a generational ball distributor behind center. On the other hand we can't ignore the fact a number of players we have traded away over the last few years have seemed to thrive elsewhere at least initially. It's a tough situation. But in the end. This is why you don't pay RB's and if you do they better have historic numbers like Saquan. And even then if you do that the first question you need to ask yourself is do you need a better QB.
  7. Salary inflation has happened so that is far from an apples to apples. It would make him the 20th highest AAV QB in the NFL, however. Jones is likely to eclipse that and I don't think there are major QB contracts coming due that would bump him down further than 21st. Still too much, IMO.
  8. I will use his career in Detroit, who is VERY adept at talent evaluations and their willingness to move on from him so quickly as a 3rd round pick as pretty damning evidence. Matt Corral-esque, dare I say.
  9. Remember when Cam got 20 million a year and it was an overpay? Lol 26.5 million for one season of Bryce is a joke
  10. Yeah but you don't want to be the guy that drafts the next Josh Rosen. Let someone else do that. Howell is a decent 3rd string guy, for sure. We would still need to draft a potential 1st/2nd stringer, though. Bcuz Panthers, bruh. Bcuz.....Panthers.
  11. I'm torn. It's easy to crap on Hubbard and Rico is doing well. This team is dogpoo without an effective running game. If we had a decent QB I wouldn't care but we are 1 injury away from needing to run the Wildcat and even without that injury they still need to be running the ball more than throwing. Otherwise sure why not? Bigger issue is the offensive calls and the OC/HC has no idea how to rotate or spell players.
  12. Correct, but looking at the list of Free Agents...which one is *actually* a starter or not just another Bryce? Daniel Jones....and? Again, happy to not pick up the extension, save the money, and sign a Sam Howell for cheaper. I just don't see them doing it and admitting defeat until they either have the answer on the roster, or a Top ___ pick.
  13. Vrabel hates henderson for some reason. I would trade chuba for Henderson straight up but I don't know how much dead money we'd have
  14. Except they let another team spend the t10 draft pick on him then get a t10 talent at RB in his prime without spending draft capital. Big difference. I’m all for getting a top RB on their second contract after using draft picks to build the rest of the team. Chuba is not the type of RB worth paying. I get why they did it and was not super hard on the decision because the contract wasn’t THAT bad, but would I trade him for a 4th round pick? In a heartbeat.
  15. For a 4th round pick? Does a bear poo in the woods? Would never happen.
  16. Not debating that, I'm over Bryce. I didn't say he's better than 95% of the FAs, I said that he makes more sense. Just can't imagine the team actually moving on, without *something* else in place. They're going to sit back and say Bryce knows the system, he's here, we drafted him, yada yada and give him an edge over a Kenny Pickett. Add in Tepper, DM, and all involved with drafting him...I just don't see them not picking the option up.
  17. The ''use it'' part is likely to carry over into 2026...that's an advantage as we move forward. Considering the cap hell, and void years under Fitterer this level of discipline, and mature moves is what allows you to operate with actual cap space like other well run teams.
  18. But if you look back over the years, it's been pretty much plug and play. Sanders averaged almost 5 YPC and we saw what happened when he came to Carolina.
  19. Distressed asset? "Sometimes the answer is already on the roster."
  20. Sign Trey lance or sam Howell. Cut dalton draft one in 27
  21. Baker found his way to Carolina and had him playing DE in practice. Obviously a different staff. But the biggest issue in Carolina has been the brain trust trio of our owners, GM, coaches. and there is PLENTY of evidence that his current trio, is mindboggling bad at basics. I do not believe in Hooker but I won't judge him and use Canales' decision-making as a reason not to believe in him.
  22. Interesting choice of examples with Philly considering Saquan Barkley is the highest paid RB in the NFL.
  23. Open to it, just how we deal with the contract is the only question. I expect they will want us to eat some of it to get to a 4th. When you spend a fortune on your oline, you don't pay RBs. Dallas and Philly have been a model for this. Dallas used to be and Philly has pretty much been plug and play at RB and <insert name here> have a career year.
  24. Their running game has been virtually non-existent. Drake Maye is 29 yards away from leading them in rushing.
  25. Or we could have used the Rams 1sts instead of our own to trade up to 1, taken Bryce, kept DJ Moore still ended up with the number 1 overall, and either traded it away for a haul, or taken a serious look at Williams, Dart, Maye and Daniels if we were less than impressed with what we saw out of Bryce. It was so simple and right there for the taking. Fug you Scott Fittershits.
