  1. Past hour
  2. They need linebackers......not another tight end
  3. Kyle Pitts has the football acumen of Ian Thomas, the blocking ability of Jimmy Graham, and the give a poo of late career Jay Cutler. falcons fans and coaches hate him. dude is trash.
  4. I have to admit that I have never heard of Enzo Flojo, but I kind of like this Clutch Points' writer's name. It flows. When I saw his trade hypothetical, I thought about it, and I kind of like it as well. But would our FO actually do it, in light of their draft last year? And would the Falcons do it, considering that the Panthers are a division rival, and are they ready to admit a sunk cost? "Kyle Pitts hasn’t lived up to his draft billing yet, but his potential is too tantalizing to ignore. For the cost of a Day 3 pick, the Panthers could secure a tight end who gives Bryce Young the safety net he desperately needs. With McMillan, Legette, and Thielen stretching defenses on the outside, Pitts could thrive in a featured role in Carolina’s offense." That's an interesting proposition. I expect to hear the arguments about giving Sanders' time and our much-needed draft capital. Sanders may surprise, yeah, but he had an opportunity to take the position by the horns last year and wrestle it away from Tremble. And, of course we have Mitchell Evans who will likely be a good all-around backup, but neither guy has the upside of Pitts. And for a day three pick---if we could actually unlock Pitts' true potential as the glorified WR that he is, then he'd make a compelling number three option and safety valve that may play well with Bryce Young's game. https://clutchpoints.com/nfl/carolina-panthers/last-minute-trade-panthers-must-make-week-1-2025-nfl-season
  5. I've heard this before, and then somehow the back up play at HOF caliber.
  6. Cannot wait to see what Princely does as a pass rush specialist this season.
  7. How in the world are folks not getting open because of Bryce when he was sacked for what was then the 2nd most times a rookie QB had been sacked (until Caleb Williams)? He got sacked 50+ times behind a 6th and 7th string guard duo. Dalton played one good game against the RAIDERS? The same Andy Dalton that people are ready to take out behind the barn and put down so that they can have a UDFA QB in the room that won't be on a roster next season? I get that Aidan O'Connell is some Huddlers' favorite QB, but Jesus... Again: What is the acceptable floor for a rookie QB with 6th & 7th string starting guards, a group of weapons where the only player getting open is 33yrs old, and the coaching staff switched the offense up three times in their first year? Why is it that I keep getting excuses instead of numbers in response to that?
  8. Stanford probably should've won that game, all things considered. Not a great look for Reich.
  9. Frank Reich had 3 timeouts and got the ball back with just over 2min left and the game tied at 20. On 2nd and 7, he calls back-to-back passing plays instead of a screen or a run to wind down the clock. They punted to Hawai'i who was sitting on two timeouts. Reich sat on all 3 timeouts once Hawai'i got into field goal range which allowed them to kill clock and kick the game winning FG. This was the offensive guru that switched the offense on a rookie QB twice. I'm gonna need some of the "no excuses" crowd to keep that energy for themselves this season if Bryce keeps looking like he did post benching.
  10. london and robinson are studs, Not sure whats up with pitts though
  11. Today
  12. Its quite literally insanity and its quite literally textbook panthering. Literally 2 weeks before the season they pull this poo. It absolutely helps no one but Moton. fug morgan fug tepper and fug tillis. This is a horrendous move no matter how you sell it. But but but culture, but but but it sets a precedent, but but but he deserves it, but but but it frees up cap space. It was a stupid fuging move.
  13. fuging Christ dude this isnt hard. Like at all. I get you simping for this poo team is your thing but sometimes you have to look at reality. Even removing his bum knee from the equation, none of this made sense. He is 31. He has been paid handsomely for his service here. He was currently under contract for this season. Why in the holy fug did anything have to be done 2 weeks before the season started. The people for this move, in this thread are saying A) He deserved it (this is the nfl it doesnt work like that B) It frees up cap space (then why in the fug didnt we do this in Feb or C) You logic (We are getting a deal at 53 million guaranteed for the next 3 years. You realize with this deal we cannot cut or trade his ass for 3 years. You understand this right? So in my opinion we should have let this ride into the offseason and go from there, what he is going to threaten to walk, big fuging deal he would be 32 on a chronically bad knee, what other moronic franchise is going to give him 40 million up front? It wasnt going to happen. And you are acting like its impossible to replace a 32 year old RT with a bum knee. Just go and draft someone, move Icky to RT. There are tons of options instead of extending this dude 2 weeks before the fuging season. The truth is Morgan and the shitheads in the FO fell for this dudes crying act and got all sentimental and shelled out another ext. We are a poverty ass franchise that doesnt act professionally
  14. Amazing what the prospect of being traded to Carolina will do for contract negotiations.
  15. 5 Im glad football is back but after the embarrassment that was the browns pre season game where our starting D made Sanders look like a serviceable NFL QB, I lost hope again for a successful Panthers campaign this year. I do hope I’m wrong!
  16. Still have yet to see this broken down anywhere by anyone past the details that he's getting 58.4m over three years with 54.3m guaranteed. That does tell us two things though. 1. His contract was changed this year because he didn't have any guaranteed money left on his contract. 2. All of this years salary is guaranteed. Since his new deal has 40m of 44m guaranteed.
  17. Woods has had 600 yards in 2 years with Stroud. He's done. Collins blew up with Stroud and had a ton more everything in Stroud’s rookie year than he did in his first two years combined. Mingo sucks but his rookie season was about the same as Collins. The Texans won 10 games with rookie Stroud. They won 11 total games in the 3 years prior. They had a poo roster before the 2023 draft. The Panthers had a better team before the 2023 draft. That was my point that Stroud (and Anderson) jumped the Texans to another level. No one thought of Nico Collins as a stud before Stroud. They were one of the worst teams in the league from 2020-2022. We won 6 more games over the same time period.
  18. 1 here. I don't think we are very good. Maybe we can be entertaining though. Anyway, I would rather be pleasantly surprised with a couple of wins, rather than being angry and annoyed every Sunday because the team is just flat out terrible.
  19. Going all the way to something like the Dollar General Bowl.
  20. 3 years. If this contract looks like I think it does and like I posted a few pages back. His dead cap in 2027 will be around 29m. So the Panthers need him to be healthy and playing for three more seasons.
  21. I had no idea he was still coaching. I would've taken Tepper's money and headed off to retirement.
  22. Frank Reich in his first coaching since the panthers is about to lose to Hawaii
  23. yes, and teams occasionally cut a player early who has a chance to stick on another team as a courtesy--They should know by now---if they do not, then they might want to rethink their preseason strategy. Of course, now that Practice squads are bigger, maybe they want to interview everyone who they plan to cut to see if they are interested in returning.
