ProFootballFocus: NFL Week 16: Rookie Team of the Week
SmokinwithWilly replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Any given Sunday. Like I said, I wouldn't consider them a fraud. They're a team that's suffered a lot of injuries. We've been fortunate not to have suffered so many at our skill positions. I'd say the same of any team that suffered a ton of injuries. Whichever WR finished best likely gets OROY but I wouldn't count out Jeanty yet if he puts together 2 great final games. He's done a pretty remarkable job behind that rag tag line in Las Vegas. -
The Blue line is a horrid mess. I know folks like miller. He doesn’t fit what the canes want to do. the blue line is all soft guys.
-
To me, every time he's around the ball it is an adventure. Will he catch it? Juggle then catch? Drop it? Will he get YAC? I thought he was supposed to be a man's man but he goes down like it's two hand tag. I'm afraid he'll run too far out of bounds, hit a cheerleader, then be on IR for a while. Seems like a great guy, someone you'd want to be around - he plays that way too - I think he's having a great time and chooses enjoyment over winning.

So is this a Bryce issue, a Canales issue, or a non issue?

They are good team when healthy but the Panthers have beaten the best team in the NFC if not the NFL that might win the Superbowl. The Bucs were out of the game against that same team at halftime. -

If he wasn't in the division at the time old mate that the Seahawks got from the Saints would have been perfect -

He seems to be having them on a rope as of late with the chemistry building. A true deep threat would do wonders for opening up the field for TMac and Coker. And 4.3 speed evidently does not make you a deep threat -
lol I was watching a replay. I’m messed up on cold meds

E Rob in the house!

I apologize and thank you I try and be fair and I try and share parts of things from local and national writers that I know many do not see or have Acess too I readily admit that I wish the Panthers had drafted Stroud as he is prototypical nfl in size and style and Young’s size and style of play is maddening and limiting. That does not mean, however, I want him to fail he is here so I hope for the best as I do for alil the players and fans who spend their hard earned money on the franchise cheers
-
There's no reason not to. He's under contract and no one is trading anything of real value for him so might as well hope he pans out while planning for him not to.

came here to post this

Its the same problems year after year after year and will never be fixed under Rod.
-
The question is, would you rather have XL or Horn in that role? Horn has definitely done a lot more with less opportunity on those type of plays this season.

I'd say we've been less decimated by injury if we're being honest. Godwin, Evans, Irving, Baker. Bucs offense has been walking wounded for much of the season. That's the nature of the NFL and you play with what you've got. I wouldn't call them frauds though. -
My phone died after the 2nd period Hopefully we can hold on to this 2 goal lead and head to the break on a high note.

Rod is Florida`s bitch.
-
Panthers Fan 69 started following The team is too finesse
-
They try to play physical for one period Then go away from it because they can’t sustain it. The blueprint has been made with Florida and Rod and Talsky refuse to get grit and size. Not to mention Rod‘s dumb ass decisions going with Freddi over and over will cripple this team. For the second half of the year they’re gonna have to trade for some grit and size or it’s the same poo over and over.

Merry Christmas gents! Let’s hope this team finds its balls in 2026

I don't know why I expected anything different. I kind of hoped we might come out aggressive going 11-7. Nope. Soft as hell.

Week 7: Coker comes back plays a little Week 8: Dalton in Week 9: GB/wind Week 10: Bryce finally has Coker back. He’s built some chemistry with TMac Prior to Coker coming back we were trotting guys like Tremayne and Renfrow out there We’re in dire need of a legitimate deep threat type WR. Mid round type speed guy. It would do wonder for this offense -
Just this. Soft as fug

I'm sitting 10 feet behind Freddie- he's washed. I'm seeing these plays better than he is.
