  1. Past hour
  2. Honestly, they needed to do this to force a decision once and for all. At least I hope that was the motivation. They know Andy isn't going to win many if any games at all so it's going to be Young or the next guy from the draft. They didn't want a backup coming in and winning a game or two to knock them further down the draft board. If that wasn't the plan going into this season then I'm not sure what we are doing here.
  3. 1 year practice squad 2 years Europe 3 years active roster None of which is the couch
  4. BS numbers are BS. Only one player has an official drop That's Hubbard The other throws were considered uncatchable by the NFL.
  5. Bill Parcells did a great job summing it up at draft time. "I realize there have been a couple of good short quarterbacks, but most of the guys doing these jobs are not 5-10. So if you draft people that look like the people that are already doing these jobs, your percentage (of hitting on them) is greater than if you draft someone who doesn't look like them." and specifically mentioning Bryce Young Parcells said Young "better walk on water"
  6. Next year would be the end of his rookie contract minus picking up his 5th year option.
  7. Yes. QBs are less than a coin flip now. Absolutely no way of knowing if they are going to be good or not. Fitterer ruined the decade for this team
  8. its 7 billion but point taken, he and his wife are here for the long haul
  9. Their bast chance would be after this season, barring a miraculous turnaround in his play. But I think he will do just enough for the team to keep him on the roster in hopes a miracle happens until his rookie contract is up.
  10. He shouldn't be here this season either but they l literally resigned him. I have no idea what next year will bring but if Young gets benched I would put $10 on him playing again regardless. I think it's a trade and for anything to just move it to the past like teams tend to do. If it gets really bad with no upside then they might have to cut him is my guess
  11. Look guys if everyone around him would just be perfect, Bryce would look average before the game got out of hand!
  12. If he keeps looking like trash, we should try to trade him for anything we can get and when no one bites just cut him. $12M is too much for a backup QB with no future.
  13. Dalton will not be here next season. I'm guessing Young will be here unless he's traded. They still control him for 2 more years so who knows. Who the starter will be i haven't a clue as I left my crystal ball in my other pants.
  14. Been through Cam and Jake. While both were flawed both weathered their share of scathing criticism and less than ideal circumstances and still flashed franchise QB level play more often than not. This is not that. Comparing this to either of our two best long term QB's in franchise history is frankly disgusting.
  15. I'm still a Bryce stan. I think coaching was the biggest issue in week one. Bryce was bad, but coaching made him look worse. I reserve the right to change my opinion next week, but this week the whole fuging team is an issue - and that comes down to the coaches.
  16. As I said earlier, they'd only be happy with Burrow, Mahomes, Allen, Daniels or Jackson. These same posters would be railing on everyone else. Stroud has been missing receivers left and right. Trevor Lawrence missed the same throws Bryce did in the same game and frankly had terrible footwork still which is inexcusable for a 5th year QB. Bryce was terrible and deserves criticism, no doubt. But only a few teams have franchise QB's and the rest need absolute perfect coaching and offensive talent to succeed. We don't have one, and bringing in Sam Howell isn't going to change a damn thing
  17. I literally laughed into the phone when the ticket rep was pushing that line to me to renew PSLs after Dalton’sfirst game and I said anyone thinking Dalton could finish the season was a sucker. That was the pitch but never the reality. Bryce was being coached up for the inevitable. If that was true they would never have resigned Dalton this year but here he is waiting to do it all over again.
  18. So we should have kept all our picks and not moved up?
  19. He was benched with zero plans for him to start ever again. If not for Andy's accident he would had to compete for his job this past offseason. That's if he was still here.
  20. I mean the guy is the face of the franchise he could at least make an attempt to set an example for the other guys. And our previous GM did directly address this and stated they would get Bryce on a nutrition program and get him in the gym.
  21. This board is just full of emotional posters. Yall criticized Cam and Ron when they were putting up best numbers in franchise history. Yall deserve losing football because yall dont appreciate the small things. Learn to grind it out or pick a new team every year like most casual fans do.
  22. He spent most of his Saints career on their practice squad.
  23. The knives came out when the guy they traded the farm for was imploding while the HC gave up carring. If it wasn't about Young then they would have gotten a better backup that could finish the year...just like this year. He was literally benched to switch it up and try again. No one with eyes could think that Dalton is playing close to a full season.
