  1. Past hour
  2. He missed one game late in the year when it didn’t matter due to his knee(s). If you don’t think the Panthers considered his overall physical health before signing this extension, then you should probably give up following them, because you consider them less capable than many DIII programs.
  3. I don’t think this has anything to do with Renfrow. The question is do you think XL or Coker can step up and be WR2. Renfrow and Horn are your slot guys. Maybe we keep Moore if ATis gone? That gives you some vets and Moore plays special teams right?
  4. Ahhh much better should have done this to chuck a long time ago.
  5. A doctor can't tell you how things are going to go with a chronic issue that's largely about pain management. Something one person can deal with another can't and it's not really about pain tolerance as much as it is just variance from one individual to the next. One person can be dealing with an issue that the images look like he should be barely getting around and he's actually doing alright. Another person can be dealing with an issue that doesn't look all that bad in images but he's practically crippled with pain. The best indicator is how things have been progressing and last year things took a considerable turn for the worst so obviously we decided to pay him. LOL
  6. Tepper's gonna fire me if the current roster takes the field for 17 games, so now its time for a Madden trade. Hold my beer.
  7. Looks like people in the Panthers reddit forum with inside sources say the trade is a done deal, but don't know the return yet.
  8. Yeah, I think you are. In terms of how professional athletes think about these things another contract and years of play are basically the same thing. And I'm not saying it's not a concern; just that I don't think we decide to extend him without thoroughly examining his knee and having confidence it wouldn't be a major issue for the life of the contract.
  9. That's where I'm at. Let's see what the lineup looks like on Sunday of Week 1.
  10. Ahhhh gotcha thought you meant this year. Yeah those dumb fitt void years.
  11. I'm curious to see what we would get and which teams are interested. And yes his value here is at times ridiculously overstated.
  12. He had a 4.8m cap hit for 2026 on his last deal from it being a void year.
  13. Yea, I was just saying. I mean... It's going to go way up. Dude is basically playing the next three years with 89% of his contract fully guaranteed.
  14. We've got to get to .500 before we concern ourselves with an all in year. Like maybe we are challenging for a wildcard in 26 if things go well.
  15. It all comes down to if the staff is confident in Renfrow staying healthy. Thielen and Renfrow will likely never be on the field together and they both can play a short yardage role out of the slot well. If we're confident in Renfrow's health, there is zero reason to not trade Thielen, get something for him while we can, whether it a pick next year or hopefully a LB or DB we can use this year. That also allows us to keep Moore for special teams as well, which I think makes for a better roster.
  16. So we waited until the offseason was basically over to do this and clear cap room up? For what? This is stupid I'm sorry.
  17. Taylor's previous Cap hit was 31m not sure were you got 4.8
  18. Oh, I gotcha. I mean, for once we appear to actually have some viable depth on the OL. So I'm not going to freak out too much over that.
  19. Because you left out the key pertinent CURRENT information. Your mindset is where the Panthers have been stuck for years. You don't pay someone for what they have done in the past, you pay them for what you expect them to do in the future. You shouldn't expect a 31 year old lineman with chronic knee issues who missed time last year and was barely able to practice to continue to hold up.
  20. also include "he is currently already under contract for this year"
  21. Sorry man, a 300+ pounder on the wrong side of 30 dealing with chronic knee issues is definitely a concern. BEFORE this extension most of us were saying that we hope he can hold up over the course of the season much less future seasons. Interpret Moron's words carefully. "Looking forward, I do believe I have another contract in me," Moton said, per The Athletic. "But right now my focus is on the 2025 season and making sure I do whatever I can to have the best season I can for everybody involved." "I do believe I have another contract in me." Not years of play, another CONTRACT. I hope I'm reading way too much into all this but I think we just got fleeced.
  22. depending on the offense it probably would be bryce, morgan and DC can sell it as they want their guy in but I think 6 wins and they tepper probably runs it back, the question is bryces 5th option
  23. Also include "he graded out as the 6th best RT in the NFL last year"
