  1. Past hour
  2. I’ve been saying it all along. It’s back to the elementary style of football it once was, sans the air attack. Back when you played with your boys, for your school, or even in the back yard. it is encouraging and cool to see. You do still need and benefit greatly from a general at the QB position though to keep the run defense honest. QB will always be the most important position in the game. That’s the stakes of what we are living with Bryce . You have to be willing to live and die with it, or find a way to survive. You keep paying him until you find one better. And I think as a franchise drafting one says all you need to say. It makes it known every spot is earned.
  3. 100% of all pro sports owner do the same thing, (there is one who didn't, but I can not recall). Its the price of having a NFL or NBA or MLB or Hockey team or race track or etc in the area. They ALL get and ask for money. so screw you for making me defend tepper....!! Im sure you know the rent poor Mr.tepper has to pay each year as well..... Plus its sorta been busted about the impact of having a pro team in the area. The impact is no greater than a super target, its basically the reason why county clubs members drive GMC rather Chevy or wear Rollie's that Seiko watches. Its a status symbol, plain and simple. "O you live in city without a NFL team, you're a fly-over poor".
  4. 4 Freddie and 2 Koochie I think. as for the first 3 shots. That number goes to 9 or 10. It’s wild.
  5. Trade for Gabriel. We can call the QB room "The Lollipop Guild."
  6. That’s nice in theory, but Bryce can’t out the ball on tiny Renfrow. But you are right. Renfrow would make a lot since if the Saints repeated the game plan for the first matchup over Horn but but probably makes more sense to just run it with Coker. whatever it is, and maybe some of it is player personnel given it extends beyond one staff but the the Saints have straight up had Bryce’s number better than anyone
  7. Most on the front page have it right. NFL is a meat grinder and each year around 300 players are replaced....They don't wait around, your replaceability is at 99%. Just the burrows, parson, Jackson, malhomes, garret, etc They are the only ones not worrying about getting dropped for some rookie....but give it time....30 years old is a fossil in the NFL now, barely no one is 32 unless you had elite skills in your 20s. Brooks is also at a high risk for all injuries given 2 years and 2 ACLs within 2 years. Odds are stacked against him, Panthers have to act like he's not on the roster until roster cuts....
  8. If the inats use the same game plan, you have to throw at the blitz and run more TE/WR smoke screens at the blitzing side. You have to force them to stop sending a CB blitz, make them pay. Honestly Id like to see Hunter in this game besides Horn, whom has done near nothing in months. Hunter is a killer on those smoke routes and is a master at seeing a weak spot when a team is blitzing CB. Add this too- Run the read option a few times, those CBs have to make a choice and if they choose wrong, the chance for a big gain is there. Id also tell BY to pump fake more this week too. Evero should have looks that Tyler has not seen, he needs to confuse and hope Tyler has TOs. No BS this nFC south is weak and all, but the iants are one of the better 3-10 teams I can recall. They play hard and look very well coached without big talent. I think around 5 of the losses were the classic one or two plays away from wins.
  9. Saints are 1-5 in the Dome. They beat the NYG who Tankathon has in the top pick ahead of LV by slightly weaker SOS. The Saints’ win, cost them that top spot. They would be in the 1.1 right now. They aren’t good. I think show up and pass block because we are going to have to throw. Running a pass first plan with Bryce is risky as hell but they will likely stack the box again and force us to punt a lot or take some shots. OL really needs to keep their pass blocking straight.
  10. I saw the man come off the field arm just hanging so we didn't waste a time out for medical reasons against the cardinals trying to make that comeback. Much respect to him
  11. Everything they do makes it less compelling.
  12. Upfront, I was disappointed with the games last year. After it was all said and done, there really seemed to be an overwhelming hope that something similar to the basketball tournament would be created with this format. Cinderellas work in basketball for a few reasons, notably 1 player can have far more impact, positive or negative, on a 5-person team. Every year there are a handful of teams that have a real claim to being a national champion contender. James Madison and Tulane have no shot. The same thing can be said about most of the other teams in the field. Expanding it to more and more teams isn't going to have the effect of bringing in more contenders. It will have the effect of making up more 1-sided games instead. But, it is more football. Quantity over quality I guess. I can't wait until it moves up to 20 or 24 teams, or even more. Let every team in with 7 wins. That is bowl-eligible, plus 1. Maybe this year will be different and it will be full of good, close games, with compelling performances between the very best teams in the country. I kind of doubt it though.
  13. 17 games with the kind of load where you gain over 200 yards a game even half the time there isn’t a back who won’t get beat down and that not show up on the field. I think the best answer is keep the OL strong enough for regular guys to run for gains. Let people sign our one year wonders to the bigger deals and just reload. The only real inhibitor there is pass blocking. You have to have guys that are decent at it.
  14. Defenses have the edge at this time. Believe it or not Cam started the "college" offense migration into the NFL, that zone read was a problem for years.....Until defenses started to hit the QB no matter what. I always blamed the "old school" guard for not trying college systems/plays, WHO gives a good GD sooo long the play gains yards and the defenses has no answer!!! It was soooo Stoopid. They didn't want their #1 or first round QB on field with plays he was comfy with?? What the hell line of thinking was that!?!?!? It was force their BS system on a young mind and not win the dam the game. They didn't want to get replaced, scared bed wetters.... Plus Ive said this for years, all teams run similar offenses. If the play works, it may look different pre-snap, but that if that OC is smart he will implement concepts into his style of offense. Mike Martz had the whole league copying him, why cause his offense caused huge problems, DUH!! He started the whole calling a run/pass on the same play, it screwed up teams for years. Its the same for any bright mind, the plays are only good if you use them and they do each week- Andy Reid, Shanny, Mcvay, Payton ALL copy each other. They are always looking for a edge and miss-match, which was a big thing not long ago too force a miss-match. Now nearly all top 20 teams have 3 WRs that will bust your ass, along with a good-great TE and RB. Its just the current league, you need to be ready each week cause here coming a UNIT that's ready to drop 40+ if you are not ready. Rams don't need a punter if they are switched on. Its takes another brilliant mind like Bill Bellicheat to figure how to slow down juggernaut offenses. The amount of teams that used Bills methods after he showed the league how to stop teams, people just don't know. Mcvay is back on fire, but Bill showed the league the blueprint to stopping MCvay.....couple years and Mcvay is back on top just killing the score board.
  15. Same way we should beat everyone. Run the ball until we have to make big time throws. Then trusting Bryce to make them. Having Chuba and Rico both healthy down the stretch could be huge
  16. It is a prove it deal but he's sorta proving he can't handle the load all season. I dont know anyone will overpay for a back that can't carry that load.
  17. This is some mighty huge bullshit. Join a fuging conference if you want to go to the playoffs.
  18. I'm 99% sure the browns are firing stefanksi and hiring deion
  19. Nicole is still an enigma. She has no background history, married a creepy billionaire, seems really sweet, who knows lol.
  20. @LinvilleGorge I guess others want to discuss this beat to death topic, huh?!
  21. Today
  22. Same on all counts. Thank you for your objective ability to watch football lol.
  23. So, I like Shedeur, but as I’ve said in previous threads, in terms of the upcoming draft, Mendoza is the one guy I would lock in on.
