That's... a wild jump to a false equivalence. If my boss called me and asked, "Why do you think you ran into issues with this project?" and I think it's because I took it easy on a routine part of the job that I mistakenly thought I had perfected/mastered, I'm telling the truth and getting better. Sounds like your industry/company is garbage and full of turnover if they don't let people grow on the job.

I'm for having a variety of receivers with different strengths. Honestly, Horn is likely to be used primarily as a return man as a rookie. Can't see finding a lot of snaps for him in front of T-Mac, XL, Coker, Renfrow, and Thielen. I mean, he's gonna be the #6 WR/return man injuries aside.
-
The difference is that T-Mac also regularly did it in games throughout his career too, he's not doing it just to be flashy in practice, he legitimately practices it because he's able to translate it to gamedays. Also, as I've said so many times but some people still don't like to see it for some reason, T-Mac is a such a perfect fit for Bryce that it's not even funny. Bryce excels with two things in particular, placing the ball with touch and improvising. T-Mac is outstanding at finding holes in the coverage on broken plays and giving his QB a big target to find, it's what him and his college QB (who was also his HS QB) did best. And because of his absurd catch radius, it allows Bryce to put those touch passes in a place that only T-Mac can catch it. Horn is going to be great to get the ball to in space, but realistically, pure speedsters are best with strong armed QB's who can take advantage of the deep ball and throwing it past the defense for the WR to run under it, that's not Bryce.

No he won't, and that's nothing against Brown or what he can be, but DT's are only considered "generational" when they also rack up sacks. He can still be an elite player for us, make pro bowls and all pro teams, but unless he significantly increases his sack total, he'll never make it to the "generational" label, just the nature of the position and today's game. Racking up tackles from the DL just doesn't flash enough to earn that standing these days.

Would rather have had Matthew Golden if we were going to go receiver. He’s going to go for 1,000 plus this year. Reminds me a lot of Antonio Brown.
-
I’ve seen college players doing this in warm-ups purposefully. It shows his reach I guess but at this point I’m not sold that Horn won’t end up being more beneficial considering the type of ball Bryce likes to play.
-
Brown had over 100 tackles as a defensive tackle. Assuming he remains healthy, if he continues those stats he will be considered “generational”
-
Getting to the NFL is a major accomplishment. Being a first round draft pick is only something 32 people get to say once a year. That is a huge accomplishment. He probably was relieved that he made it and that the uncertainty of the draft process was over. He didn’t shift gears quick enough and what happened, happened. I don’t know that he will ever be a true number one receiver, personally I like him better as a two which is why I wanted Matthew Goldman or whatever his name is but it is what it is.

For those thinking Renfrow isn't making the team...Ha!

No one is necessarily saying they want him to be third in receptions, but that it could happen and that it wouldn't be some automatic negative. At this point we have other younger, less experienced players who could of course end up producing more than Renfrow, but depending on game dynamics and coaching philosophy regarding experience and simple execution at/on the job, there is a scenario where Renfrow gets more play than most of the guys. That's all I'm saying. Furthermore, run blocking is an understated part of the job and Renfrow isn't bad at that, but younger guys (especially rookies) need to master that before they become a regular staple in the flow of the game. In my opinion, some Huddlers are just discounting Renfrow a little too much while glorifying younger guys who still have a lot to learn. I've seen this story before. It's not about "infatuation" from the coaches' parts, and more about getting the receivers on the field who can do their job. And speaking of "infatuation," I'm not inclined to fall in love with the next best thing either. I've seen these players come and go on a consistent basis. I told people that Philly was JAG, and that's exactly how his short career played out. My advice would be to at least see players in a game before you crown them as roster material. -
I agree with those that say Steve Smith won't make it. No rings and probably pissed to many people off. Neither will Cam. His dominant period was to short. Luke might, but its not a given.

This defense needs someone other than Derrick Brown to bring some mean energy I like it. Of course, I'd rather him save it for the regular season or maybe joint practices but I'll take it.
-
Sad? I'd label it more as "unfortunate." It's actually good that it was caught. Hopefully he'll be OK in the future. But I, unfortunately like many people, have seen sad outcomes from cancer, and, so far, this is not sad.
-
The NFL Network has been going around to all of the camps they finally made it here and they are interviewing Bryce
-
He also went for what some said would've been a 45 yard TD when Bryce hit him in stride over the middle. I'm not worried. Brett Kollman said that Tetairoa is probably most dangerous in that very scenario. Tet has also shown to have very strong hands, ball adjustment and jump ball skills like other bigger receivers.
-
Indeed. Sadly, it is likely guys like XL/Coker/Horn that Renfrow will steal time from, more likely than not.
-
Deion annoys the poo out of me but I wish him nothing but the best in health.
-
Hopefully less and less as the season goes on as youngsters prove they're worthy of more snaps.
-
This is sad I hope he has a speedy recovery
-
Agree Luke is probably next, and I don't think it'll be a long wait. I think Olsen deserves it, but that guarantees nothing. Worth remembering though, if his current career keeps going as it has been, he might actually make it one day as a broadcaster.

Starting to wonder how much playing time Adam will see this year.

5 wide is going to be a massive part of this offense going forward and Renfrow will feast in the slot from it
