Bryce hasn’t had a deep threat WR in Carolina yet. All 3 seasons now nothing. At Bama he had Jameson and outside of that he really didn’t have much NFL talent WR/TE wise. He had Gibbs his final season but I’m not talking RB’s. Metchie has turned into a dud. Cameron Latu nothing. Jacory Brooks nothing. Jermaine Burton is an absolute head case. Adam Thielen is hardly seeing the ball in Minnesota and this was Young’s WR1 the last 2 years Now Young has TMac and that’s literally it He hasn’t had a single TE worth a damn. Through 3 seasons this organization has failed Young worse than they failed Cam

What’s the number one thing you need for a vertical passing game? I’d argue QB is third on that list and we don’t have the first two.
-
Someone. Anyone. Please tell me. What WR on the roster is known for threatening defenses deep? Whether now or in college. Who is it? Because I saw Bryce Young go deep plenty in college. Not one WR on our roster has that in his bag. Not one. Stop making it a QB issue. It’s a team stat.

I think the game plan was to get the ball out quick to help the online. It was also dictated by game. We were able to get better production from the run game so we were more focused on moving the chains and draining the clock than quick scores .

Yes, for the half a minute I got mildly curious after my wife said the panthers beat the falcons. She saw it on Facebook.

Panthers are ass but funny enough they're the 2nd best team in the NFC South. Go check out the Saints rn if you need a good laugh. -
Would help if Renfrow could catch. Him and XL are competing for worst hands in the league.

Official Week 3: Panthers vs. Falcons Gameday Thread

Gotta say watching the replay Scourton was all over the place, in on every play for a guy that just had a collapsed lung. -
Maybe the 3rd,Gano had made 63 and 58(or 59).

Not really sure I’d say we had “constant success” on the ground either. Take away Dalton’s kneel down and Bryce’s scrambles and we had 103 yards on 27 carries. Not garbage, but not constant success to where it wouldn’t have been reasonable to let your QB try and gain some confidence by throwing it a bit more, or even just further down the field. I’m happy we won, but just frustrated in that we somehow didn’t even look that great in a 30-0 win because it was largely due to the Falcons ineptitude and bad mistakes. We only had 2 drives all game of over 30 yards, the 61 yard opening TD drive and a 48 yard drive for a FG. So it’s not like our offense was some well oiled machine that couldn’t have been trying to throw and push it downfield more. -
BY is Pathetic. With a good QB and better middle linebackers, we could be a playoff bound team.

Up all night crying about the same stuff we already know. Boo hoo, you will have 14 more games to see bryce and im sure we will be down in majority of them to see him pass more. Again, he will start the rest of the season and either improve or lead us to his replacement. Enjoy a shutout and have a beer or something. -
I think some of those are coming, but don’t expect consistency. I think it will be kind of like when Wilks was here at best: beat the teams you should beat, still get your ass kicked by the good ones. You might be able to win some games with him if you can get games like today with no turnovers and everything else working, all three phases.

All this rationalizing about this game doesn't change the fact Bryce had 3 completions in 70+ attempts at or beyond 15 yards coming into this game. Bryce hasn't threatened past the sticks consistently this season. It's quite different from his good games last year imo.

Ugh. Very sorry to hear that. Thinking of his young family. -
D.Brown has almost single handedly solved the run defense problem. He’s that friggin good. So glad to have him back.

The way your fan brain thinks isn’t the way an NFL coaches brain thinks.. It’s not Madden. I get that some fans want to see BY sling the ball around in a blowout, but the HC job is to call plays to win the game in a responsible manner. What coach would stop running the ball when they are having consistent success only to pass the ball when you already have a large lead? Who would take Canales seriously in the locker room? Who would take him seriously around the league if he did that? The coaching staff get to see BY at practice everyday and have 2 years of tape. It’s week 3. There’s still a lot of more ball to be played. Enjoy the ride. -
Shawn Clark Former App State Coach Passed Away

Wow … App grad here. That’s tough news. His time on the mountain wasn’t glorious, but he left it all out there during his tenure. RIP Coach Clark -
Who would that be? I didn’t see one. Don’t get me all wrong here, I enjoyed the winning for once and I am not going around calling Young out unprovoked but this is the kind of fantasy post that will instigate that type of response. He proved nothing along those lines today IMO. Maybe he yet will, but today wasn’t proof of it.

I don't think anyone can say with surety that we are the worst. I would say that there's a good chance that the worst team will come out of the South, but the Titans and Pats are serious threats to anyone that has designs on gambling that someone in the NFCS will end up with the first pick of the draft. I would feel uncomfortable betting that the Panthers are the worst today, but there's still 14 games left to sort it all out. -
I agree ryan Fitzgerald was the player of the game
-
Well last time we ‘won’ the lotto, another team cashed our ticket, because we traded it to them for what turned out to be the booby prize, as they used to call it.
