It's why it's so baffling Moore is going back to school. He's the clear cut QB2 and would probably go in the top 15-20, maybe higher.
-
Outside of Mendoza, crappy year to need a starting QB that isn't a complete project. Ty Simpson is QB2 and he's got plenty of concerns. The 2027 QB draft just got even deeper. If we miss out on this QB jackpot because we are still on the fence about Bryce Young, I just might have to shelve my Panthers fandom permanently. I can't continue to cheer for folks suffering from self-imposed mental retardation beyond that.

I'll be shocked if he doesnt reenter the portal

Mike Kaye’s take: 2026 NFL free agency predictions
strato replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I heard an analyst say his camp may not want long term but more a 2 year deal because the money for this next deal won’t match the market in 2 years. Might not even match the market this year but they don’t have leverage. I haven’t refreshed myself but pretty sure they can buy his RFA season out with a 2 year deal. Then you wouldn’t have to match offers.- 57 replies

I'm still mystified on how Stroud looked so overwhelmed at times in his playoff game. Pure speculation but maybe the concussion is still affecting him somewhat. Similar with how Horn seemingly has been playing worse since coming back from his concussion. Rodgers... really interested to see how Maye fares.

This is cold but… I would not be handing Icky that extension now. There is some money to reallocate.

Moore stayed. Raiola can redshirt, backup or back out.

Yeah I must have been thinking of a drive before that. I definitely got it wrong -
This drop thing… really debatable. Depends on your perspective. That last ball was a tough catch that didn’t get caught. I don’t know that I would call it all on Horn as if it hit him perfectly and he blew it.
-
I happened to turn your game on with 2 minutes left, just brutal. Was tough with all of your injury issues, but still should have won the game. I hope the rams crush the bears this weekend.

It sucks to be let down by our defense in the end but at least it wasn't blowing a big lead against your hated rival. You really can't take the Falcons out of LaFleur. Surely can't be keeping McManus. Once a kicker starts having the yips, it doesn't go away until they go elsewhere.

I just realized something and couldn’t edit above… post it here. If you use the 2025 playoff teams to project 2026, you have to use 2024 teams to evaluate this year on those same terms. 2024 playoff teams we faced this year were TB (2) Green Bay Rams Bills I think that’s it. We went 3-3 including Saturday. 5 games but only 4 teams. We can call it 5. So, more next year.

The chaos on the play resulting in the interception... it feels like this squad has had problems all year seemingly not knowing what they are supposed to be doing out there. Not lining up properly, screwing up the handoff, linemen letting guys have a straight run at Bryce, not running the right routes, etc. I'm hoping that's because of the constant shuffling of lineups with the injuries up on the line and a lot of these players simply not having much NFL experience in general. Wish he had covered that one weird play with Coker. It seemed like something new, although the end result was pretty poor.

I don’t care what we label him on the roster. Dude was a demon on ST in that playoff game.- 57 replies

I was hoping you guys would win that game. It's a shame they way it went against you.
-
Went 2-5. Not including actual playoffs. So 2-6. Rams and Green Bay were the wins. We were tough for teams, most of our games anyway. And we’re such a borderline playoff team. There will be a couple of teams out there that weren’t playoff teams that will hurt us probably. Too early to really say but I don’t like the way we stack up right now in our own division. They are all drafting well ahead of us (those that have picks). Atlanta might be in a little trouble.

Wild Card QB Performance Rankings
PadresPanthersFan replied to thebdawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Having watched all the games I dont care about qbr but using the eye test stroud, herbert and rodgers all completely pooed the bed. Rodgers and herbert were the main reasons they lost. Stroud should have cost his team the win. Bryce played really well and he was not the reason we lost. What he needs is consistency. His highs are impressive. But his lows are abysmal. Hes shown what he can do. But now he needs to do it way more often -

The offense took the lead with 2 minutes to go..

I believe you are accurate there. Without knowing for a fact, I think we basically understand what happened.

One was definitely a drop and also a completion in 3 downs takes multiple players, not just qb.

I agree. If Icky has full recovery it may be time to move him inside. He will always have trouble with a good speed rusher at L.T.- 57 replies
