  1. Past hour
  2. to me the post would suggest Sam Darnold was good last night because Seattle won in a wild game. Which is what we do with Bryce Young. Sam Darnold didn't play well last night. Which is how he trends, goes to a new team.....looks okay and becomes classic Sam Darnold down the stretch. Last 6 or 7 weeks old bad Sam is coming out a lot (and then a weird Atlanta game mixed in lol).
  3. If we could have just skipped numbers 2-4 it would have been a normal cycle of an NFL team at the end of an era. Firing Rivera when he did was not a bad decision, everything after that was unimaginably awful.
  4. Evidently Nacua did a tweet and delete last night going after the refs again. Pretty sure the Rams are gonna ask/tell him to keep his ass off Twitter and I'm sure his agent will be in their camp on that. If you're a high profile person just hire a pro PR rep to handle your social media and stay out of it.
  5. And that is why the ‘blow it all up and start over’ methodology is a fools journey.
  6. Wondering what could have been if Canales had the chance to work with Darnold. Obviously, Sam has all the tools to be a franchise QB, just needed to get his head straight. Did they give up on Sam to soon? Seems like he was playing better before they let S.W walk. Sam would have florished under D.C probably, but we shall never know. Darnold would have allowed Canales to use the entire play book including QB sneaks. Looks like a big miscalculation to not give him a contract.
  7. Unfortunately under Tepper we've been exactly that. This is year 8 of whatever the fug this is. Maybe it gets better. Maybe it gets worse. It's hard to even remember what mediocrity felt like anymore.
  8. I think we pick it up and then someone else ends up emerging as the QB next year and we end up cutting him in year 5 and eating it. That would be the most on brand thing to happen.
  9. Evero has his faults, but even in that loss, the team only gave up 20 points. Your post gets to the heart of the matter. We are not a talented team on defense at this time. Some of our younger guys may develop w/more playing time, but for now we have no impact players at LB or EDGE. We could really use a ball-hawking S on the back end as well. We have exactly two players that have to be accounted for on every play, D. Brown, and J.Horn. Mike Jackson has been solid. The other starters would probably be backups on most the upper echelon NFL teams. We really can't expect this team to a Top 10 defense with such a lack of talent. All things considered I've been somewhat impressed with how much better they have played this year. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-points-per-game https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-average-team-passer-rating We are in the top 15 in terms of points allowed per game (22.6) and top 12 in defensive passer rating (88.9). And, we are doing this without a formidable PASS RUSH. Even our rushing defense has improved. We are #16 in rushing yards allowed per game (116) compared to 179 per game last season. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-rushing-yards-per-game I wouldn't cry if Evero moved on after the season, but his defense isn't the biggest worry for our team.
  10. The funny part is she looks older and not in a good way...
  11. How about some line help, both sides, first. Trade XL before talking about a 1st round WR 3 years in a row. Or a TE or...drum roll...a QB to pair with a vet. And if it's not a speedy route guy with hands then just hard pass.
  12. yikes, but mac and bone told me this very morning that he has been a top PFF qb for the last 4 weeks
  13. This was the guy that was so petty about where he wanted to go then has established himself as a fraudster and complete joke in college. It would be very funny to see him go from being super selective about his NFL destination to just begging to get back in. I don't see it, though. Although he has fallen, I think his Pride is still a cup that runneth over. That arrogant old fug will stubbornly believe that some ultra premium NFL position has to be available for him to be interested.
  14. Unfortunately the progression under Tepper has been: 1. Tearing Down NFL Franchise 2. Establishing College Program in the NFL 3. Descending to National Laughingstock 4. Establishing the Structure of an NFL Franchise 5. Improvement to Bad NFL Franchise
  15. The amount of mocks showing us take a WR is startling. Not good resources at the moment, for sure, but it does seem like the general opinion is that we are going to go all in on the current offense. Which, I mean.....let's say we hit a HR at WR again in the upcoming first. Now you have TMac, Drafted WR, Coker and pick whomever of Horn, Tremayne, XL, etc. Especially if we locked in a good C, this now becomes a potentially attractive spot for an NFL QB. Well, minus Canales, I suppose. I wouldn't be super against it provided we aren't reaching for a WR or dramatically ignoring BPA.
  16. And they still brought in people to fit his D. Im talking about the quality of what they brought in and not why there aren't more DBs and Horns. His guys have been not good IMO. Jackson was a DM guy too.
  17. I just want to see us fired up and playing like there is absolutely nothing to lose...we've done it against teams where we pretty much had "no chance" and look how it turned out. I want to give my TV a piledriver when I watch us shell up and play hyper-conservative.
  18. Today
  19. I think just the sheer fact they aren’t running a college scheme like they did from 2020-2022 is a big improvement
  20. They have put in half the draft capital in building the defense compared to the offense
  21. Evero is going to give it up all day...Mayfield licking his chops right now.
  22. Bryce Young has never balled out in his career outside the city of Atlanta. We should just trade him to Atlanta.
  23. we are turning into the old Detroit Lions at that point
  24. Worse actually. Dude has been run out of places that had great DCs before he showed up.
  25. Everyone knows that is not how it works, at all, for the "franchise qb" at this level.
