Draft Week Rumors, Leaks and Media Draftniks Final Mocks

Starting at our pick, you can stop after our selection and the analysis. I'm not sure if everyone is singing the same tune just because we can go any direction and Sadiq keeps falling. -

We are not drafting Sadiq. We have literally shown no interest in him -

Let's tighten this up. Instead of a new thread about certain news, rumors and mocks by media types leading up to Thursday's draft, capture it all here. So Klatt, Simms and McShay most recent mocks (literally all this morning) have us taking Sadiq. Thoughts? I hate it. Kiper, who sucks, says the safety out of Toledo. Also, Trent Williams re-signed with the 49ers.

The Canes aren't immune to getting beat up, either, and they are far from being a physical hockey team. There's no way they keep up a pace of laying 57 hits on Ottawa or any other team. Hopefully, the majority of the physicality is out of the way and we can play some hockey now. But, we can never assume Tkachuck isn't going to drop the gloves again. Matter of fact, I'd expect it at least 2-3 more times.

Well, buffalo and Boston are gonna beat each other up. Tampa Montreal will beat each other up and then some combination of those teams will further beat each other up. So hopefully if we see them in the EC finals, they’ll be worn down. The Atlantic is brutal.

Canes vs Sens Rd 1 GM 2 Monday 7:30pm

Looks like Zub is out after contact with Jarvis. That’s a big loss for the senators. He’s a top pair defenseman with Sanderson. -
I will say it again, there is no fuging way in hell KC is ranked 19 or better on their big board. If he truly is then we may have bigger issues than previously noted. If he (or cooper) is the pick I hope they simply call it for what it is. To try and supercharge Bryce and our offense to get it to at least nfl respectable. And again if I am EE I am raising fuging hell

Unsure who you're talking about but I'll check him out - school/pos? Haven't seen that name pop up. Historically, we never get the WR or DBs I like so I'll stay cautiously optimistic haha. Sneakily love this DB class-- other notables being Stukes, K Scott, Abney, Ponds - Today

They would not need to trade up that high. The only team the might take Simpson would be the Steelers. And that's a small chance. -

There are rumblings that Bailey might go #2 over Reese. The reasoning? Pure Edge rusher over an athletic 'tweener. -

Probably not but I can dream. 2 2027 firsts could potentially set us back on course -

Right now, it would be the swerve that would make things incredibly interesting. Look, I've tried to be someone who says Bryce is developing and that he needed time to grow, especially under the same coaching staff for a few years. And, well, he has, but there's still a lot of room to grow left. I've also regularly couched that with the idea that Bryce's best position might be as a top end back up QB. That sounds like a slight, but that's a damned good job to have in this world. If we chose to pick up Ty with that first round pick, it would set up some serious competition in training camp, pushing Bryce either to the next llevel (Dalton was there as a mentor/coach rather than competition) or giving Ty a chance to show he can win the day. At which point you have a new guy to develop and a couple of relatively inexpensive years with Bryce at QB2, adding to the mentorship or becoming trade material. But let's say it happens and Bryce actually takes off like the Artemis rocket and goes way beyond our expectations and becomes a top 12 QB. Then you've got a young guy on the bench behind him with great credentials, no pressure to come in and compete on a rotten team (like the one Bryce was brought in to) and he'll be learning at the side of a coach that will have sealed his reputation as a QB-developing coach. And that creates the QB factory situation that we've seen in Green Bay back in the day or SF now... taking draftees or retreads, rehabbing them and trading them off for other players or draft picks. If we take Ty, and I only think it's a minor chance, there's some upside to it and it would also signal that Morgan and Canales are happy with who they've picked up in the off season or developed here. Sheesh, can't wait until draft night.
