I swear people will hate on Tepper over nothing. This was a good interview.

T-Mac averaged 7.1 targets a game this season and had games of 2, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, and 6 targets this year. Even with an improved Coker, there is no reason T-Mac shouldn't see a solid uptick of targets this year, he is a true #1 WR, and even with Coker, he realistically should be 8-9 targets a game next season. Love Coker's potential as a real nice #2 option in this league, but he's not good enough that we should be taking targets away from T-Mac to get more for Coker. In addition to that, I think they'll start throwing more downfield to him as well, which will only help his yardage total even if he gets the same amount of targets. Then add him catching a few more of the ones he actually dropped, plus a handful more catches on the non-drops but tough catches he couldn't complete. Also we had 191 targets to RBs and TEs next year, with Rico being our best receiving threat of any of them and he'll be gone. Even if Etienne and/or Brooks take a bunch of those, or we sign a new TE, there should be a solid chunk of those targets going to Coker either, so he won't be taking any of T-Mac's targets due to that as well. Also don't forget that while he played 17 games this year, T-Mac basically put up his stats in 16 games, as he clearly was out there in Week 17 as a decoy and not a real target threat due to him being sick, and thus his 1 catch for 5 yards on 4 target stat line.

That's why it is critical that this front office bring in real QB depth this offseason in the event Bryce Young begins this season the same way he did the first three by playing poorly at best. And if our 8th overall pick who just finished as rookie of the year actually sees his targets go down someone needs to be fired.

When you consider all the re-worked deals or trades it definitely more common than you think, missing games in holdouts is essentially the very last resort but a lot of drama gets stirred up regardless. Or was I imagining the Parsons/McLaurin/Hendrickson/Heyward/etc turmoil from just this last season?

Anyone looking for a big jump next year is setting themselves up for disappointment given how well he played this year: 14th in Yards (13th among WRs) 15th in TDs (11th among WRs) 10th in 20+ yard receptions 10th in 40+ yard receptions 7th in 1st Down receptions (6th among WRs) 19th in YPC (but 8th among players with 40+ rec) And Young was at 16.7% bad throws this year. Even is he drops to 15%, that's only a 1.7% improvement. Given TMac was targeted 122 times, that means he would have 2 extra catches next year. That put with the fact that Coker should be getting some of his catches next year, assuming he stays healthy, I would expect his targets to drop - not increase. Just my JMTC

One would have to be an absolute moron to believe this "story"

The best part about those rookie gaffes were his actual drops (and yes, I mean ACTUAL drops, not the tough plays he couldn't make that fans chalked up as drops because they just wished he could make the great catch) were very clearly concentration drops, not bad hands drops. And seeing as he didn't have that problem in college, it's safe to assume it was more of a "trying to do too much" type of thing and he'll fix that in the future pretty easily. Which if he does, that should add another 100-150 yards alone to his total, improve slightly in a few other areas and he's going to be pushing a 1,400+ yard type of season.

I think there's like 4 players in the last 10 years to miss a game over a holdout. It's not common.

He came across poorly in this, very unlikeable. I cringed when he said “they” in reference to Carolinas don’t know how to deal with snow. He’ll never be one of us If you know what I mean

Is that going to help him elevate those around him? I'd love to see that first and foremost. We can put the dinner guest etiquette on the back burner

He had some rookie gaffes but with consistently better ball placement he could make a big jump this year. Look at the numbers DJ Moore put up here.

He was the one hiring the wrong people lol. He gave Matt Rhule generational wealth because of some tasty meatballs. It's important to maintain perspective all around. Yes we're glad we won the divison and finally made the playoffs again. But without a few lucky breaks and depending on the Falcons of all teams for help nobody would be showing up here to sing the praises of David Tepper. We got swept by the Saints ffs. We won't be able to finish the 2026 season going 4-6 over our final ten games and expect to compete for the division let alone make the playoffs. So let's pump the brakes on the Tepper honeymoon.

All those assets and the most glowing thing anyone can say about our QB in year 4 is how well he interviews.

WTF are you all talking about. This was his best interview ever. Explained why he churned through coaches early on and why he was so hands on, because he didn't have the right people in place. With Thule and Reich, would you disagree? Now he is very much hands off because he has the right people in place. He also explained the Jax incident and I don't blame him.

I wonder if Vega Ioane out of Penn State would be a good fit for us...

Bryce is likeable and to his credit he's never been a distraction or a dick about things. But you don't select someone #1 overall because they whisper sweet nothings in your ear. This is how we ended up with Matt Rhule. Doesn't honestly sound like the Tepper's have learned anything.
