  1. Past hour
  2. I would prefer someone from the outside to help grow Dave or Idzik as a playcaller. He has some potential but there have been several games where he was simply outmatched by his opponent. Dan leaving it to Dave means I kind of doubt it will happen, but it would do this staff a lot of good if it did.
  3. I was harping on finishing 1-3 after the bye. I didn’t extrapolate back 8 games and surely didn’t realize that it was a 2-6. Lol. Playoffs! But they showed up for the game pretty well. Yeah I understand the bar is raised competitively next year. I also understand you are anti Morgan but I liked a lot of what I heard in his press conference yesterday. He wants to build that defense. This Icky thing is a complication though.
  4. FWIW my buddy knows a lot of people who work for the falcons and they seem to think they’re gonna get harbaugh if he wants to coach.
  5. The hope would be that people under/around that OC would learn some things from him.
  6. Bryce would love an Asian mall so much. he could play so much Gacha
  7. The only option that allows both Dan and Dave to win here, is promoting Idzik to OC. This way, Dave can focus on the overall team concept and make sure he’s a HC more than a glorified OC that is overwhelmed. By the same token, I assume Idzik’s philosophy is a carbon copy of Canales’ since they’ve been connected at the hip forever. Much like marriage, this is the compromise and both leaders get what they want….while giving in to appease the other.
  8. Dipshits really lap up him throwing his couch change at infusion centers.
  9. Maybe you look at the GM as much as the coach. And Jones looked really good for sure, but who finished the year and at least got their team to the playoffs?
  10. We should entice him by offering quite a bit more than whatever Seahawks will propose. He’s a WR3 with WR2 potential. We need him here. One thing we’re overlooking is that he didn’t do much at WR in Seattle. Re-signing with them isn’t a given. He could have a bigger role elsewhere.
  11. We might have inched past the Rams with Theilen as he might of helped us convert some of those 3rd and 4th downs. However, we likely wouldn’t have seen the emergence of Coker this year with Theilen taking his snaps away. The fact that we got picks for a retiring receiver is the real silver lining here.
  12. Bryce has improved somewhat in the redzone. But it's the rest of the field between the 20's that no defenses respect our passing game. I mean this guy had Chuba Hubbard leaping into the air for a high checkdown pass backed up against our own end zone against the Rams in the playoffs. On top of that you have Canales who can't get out of his own way as a playcaller and as the individual making gameday decisions in general. See Etienne still returning punts. So long as these issues like that exist we will continue to slog our way to 20 points a game. FYI we averaged 18.3 PPG which is only better than the Saints with a 2nd round rookie QB the Jets the Titans the Browns and the Raiders. We had many things swing our way this season we managed to win our division and clinch a playoff spot while losing 6 out of our last 8 games. We will not catch lightning in a bottle like that again. And our division is already improving. We're still waiting to see who the Falcons will hire and it's still possible the Bucs fire Bowles and upgrade. What Canales and Bryce brought to the table in 2025 is not going to result in 8 wins again don't be fooled.
  13. Moton is down for 28.4x million for 2027. Dead cap 14 million or so. 28 is the void year. Before Icky went down I had my eyes on him doing one more season. We gotta do something, paying an aging ROT 28 million is not good.
  14. That generally happens when the coach is on the hot seat and on the way out. Having a hard time thinking about where a guy was forced to change and he wasn’t out the door not that long after. They ain’t firing him, they ain’t looking at firing him. Morgan actually said it was something that would be discussed but I felt like he wanted it to be Canales’ decision. Which goes to my question of how do you insert a guy etc… maybe they figure it out.
  15. iirc they sent 2 picks to the the Saints for this guy, indicating to me they will give him a longer deal. However, it would be fun to watch the Saints fans when they hear we got him.
  16. It made me feel a little better about that 4th year, but he was getting it regardless. I believe. He will always be limited. But if he can raise his floor to match what he has done that passes for good on the Bryce grading curve, I could tolerate it. I might be lying. I want a guy that can force anybody to respect the passing game.
  17. Crazy that we might have made it a little further if we had Thielen playing over XL with T-mac and Coke as the primary guys
  18. No he doesn’t. Making the occasional play while being a complete liability on every other snap is a bananas way to remain a starter. Keeping him only allows Evero to continue to ignore the position for the upgrade you mention. Hes a stop gap at best and should be someone else’s problem.
  19. This is why Tillis is here and we need him to get over this transitional hump. We still have many weaknesses that need to be resolved in FA and the draft. Icky being out in ‘26 makes it harder to navigate….especially with Moton’s tenure coming to a close in the next couple years and Icky’s payday on the horizon. I would much prefer Linderbaum over Mayes or Corbett, just curious if we can afford it. Same goes for DL. We had Milton almost locked up but settled for Wharton. I wonder if we look to this again this offseason as it’s clear DB needs better talent beside him in the trenches. I don’t want to waste his prime.
  20. There has been a fair amount of talk about him retiring. This was his 14th season I think. Might want to look elsewhere at other options.
  21. That is a huge point of contention with me. The assets brought in for him, those guys got none of that, and no time either. I mean we are going 4 years here all in. And still don’t know that the floor can be raised.
