  2. Seems like teams are giving the RB treatment to LBs. Rams gave away a great young LB last year- " Los Angeles Rams traded their starting linebacker, Ernest Jones IV, to the Tennessee Titans. The Rams received a 2026 fifth-round draft pick in exchange for Jones and a 2026 sixth-round pick. Jones was in the final year of his rookie contract and was seeking an extension, but the Rams were unable to agree on a deal, leading to the trade. " Titans traded him to the Seahawks, rams rival and I think they ended up re-signing him. Evero came from there and mimics many of the same beliefs. I've said this too many times, you can not pay everyone. Panthers signed the Rams top tackler for near vet min.... DL can help cover up LBs weakness, but this is one huge cover-up.... Still, Jewell was the top dog holding this group above water. Now Panthers need a surprise hero from the group you listed. Prepare thyself, incoming threads about any LBs are in bound.
  3. I will say that we all basically knew the roster was extremely thin(has been for years). Inevitably, offseason injuries were bound to happen. It just kind of is what it is. Some guys we need to evaluate for next offseason will get some burn and hopefully we will make another small step forward with the roster for 2026.
  4. We have a good DL, so maybe that alone will improve the LB play. I think we have 3 decent LBs--low end starters in Rozeboom, Wallace, and Cherelus and Windmon played well in short duty last year. I also think we have 2 UDFAs who could make it---Possibly not as thin as we think.
  5. Need a sleeper on-roster LB hero to re-ignite the hype. Yea they signed a guy named Bam, Bam sounds like a LB name right??
  6. Damone Clark from Dallas is another trade target.
  7. Are we still hyped for the season?
  8. This. He should be a target for us. At this point we just need an experienced player who can be serviceable and serve as depth. ILB get injured a lot
  9. White- PFF Coverage Grade: 32.0 (174th out of 189 LBs)
  10. Yesterday
  11. I overlooked him, yea this guy has produced every stop he's been at for the last few years. 29 years old, unlike the 33-34 names unsigned. Anyone have his PFF coverage grade?? Pro Football Focus (PFF) also gave him a 48.8 overall grade for the season, placing him 156th out of 189 qualified linebackers...... sounds like a panther to me!!111!! still like to see his coverage grade..........I hope there's a sleeper LB already on the roster...
  12. Kyzir White is available
  13. Well this is not a positive development for the team in the slightest. We just got a lot thinner at a very thin position.
  14. Terrible news all around. Concussion demon takes another panther- Luke, oher, and now jewell. Panthers seemed to want to re-do the contract and Jewell didn't want too, that's a sign that he's retired for good. I've already arm-chair GM this, its bad. Just nothing on the market, not even a Cloweny-like cut waiting for the right team. Trade wise, another big bad. Jags may have two- former 1st round Lloyd . Member the CJ Henderson trade, Panthers sent a 3rd- Chad Muma was used on that pick. He's done near nothing, but listed as LB and he's in the last year of deal. Jags drafted two MLBs this yr. Drew Sanders from broncos former 3rd coming off a torn ach......ugh he's young! Channing Tindall of the phins, another 3rd rounder in the final year without doing much.. Brian Asamoah of the Viking, 3rd rounder in the final year without doing much....... Cuts seemed to be the best path, by far. I don't know if Dan should trade swap 6th for one of those 3rd round duds and a 7th. Panthers are going to need a huge surprise from Bam Martin, windom(statered some last yr), or the other UDFA Nomura. That's the best hope right now, someone on the current roster shows up and shocks everyone while they take over a starting MLB job.
  15. Geez, LB core was already bad now they're even worse. I hope he recovers for his own well-being, forget about football.
  16. NAS

    Jewell Out

Gonna have to go bargain shop for camp cuts
  17. You couldn't have asked for a better send-off for the Prince of Darkness than that final concert a few weeks ago. We all knew he'd go someday, but this is truly the end of an era. Anyway I know what I'm going to be spinning for a while:
  18. Uggh forgot about that
  19. I am curious to see if Warren is the elite player that the Huddle Warren stans believe. I am always fairly wary of these first round TE's.
  20. The Rossi things isn't going away, either... https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/3312416/unfinished-business-7-players-to-watch-in-back-half-of-nhl-offseason The Wild and Rossi shouldn't be having any trouble hammering out an extension. Rossi, an RFA turning 24 in September, recorded the second-most points on the team last season (60 in 82 games). The smart, skilled, highly competitive 5-foot-9 Austrian is a homegrown top-six center. Minnesota has $10 million in cap space and no other significant spots to fill to finalize its 2025-26 roster. Problems lurk below the surface, however. Coach John Hynes demoted Rossi to the fourth line in the playoffs, dropping his nightly usage from 18 minutes in the regular season to 11 in the first-round series loss to Vegas. GM Bill Guerin's top to-do list item at the moment is to lock up Kirill Kaprizov. The superstar winger, who's been eligible for an extension since July 1, is due for Leon Draisaitl-type money (around $14 million average annual value) starting in 2026-27. Guerin has said there's no rush to sign, trade, or match an offer sheet for Rossi. If he stays, a short-term extension makes sense, since it gives both player and team flexibility. If he leaves, a trade is far more likely than an offer sheet. Half of the league could use a second-line center, and Rossi still has upside. The Hurricanes desperately need to upgrade at 2C (Jesperi Kotkaniemi isn't going to cut it) and have plenty of cap space. Ditto for the Sabres, who picked Jack Quinn one spot before Rossi went to the Wild in the 2020 draft. Mammoth bench boss Andre Tourigny coached Rossi in junior, and they don't have as much wiggle room, but trading top-six winger Nick Schmaltz (plus a pick) could make the math work. Guerin wants to make a so-called "hockey trade" here.
  21. Sorry to hear this for josey i have to ask, if I read correctly, he had concussion issues since week 15…why did the FO not pursue someone…..
  22. Source? And whose spot would he take?
  23. Not necessarily, if anything, I think there is an argument to be made that it's the least important position in football, so I don't take issue with them leaving it for last during this re-build. Honestly the only position I think you could argue is less important to have studs is RB. Today's NFL is about the passing game. So you need the QB and WRs, as well as the OL to protect and give time for your passing game. While the opposite is true on defense, that you need the pass rush and secondary to be your strongest units to defend against the pass. There is a reason you don't see MLB's get drafted early in the 1st Round unless they're a true generational talent, like a Kuechly.
  24. Karlsson trade gaining steam again, will most likely happen if the Penguin's retain 25-30% of his contract.
  25. I get it but I dont think there is an excuse for it to be absolute poo. Weakened maybe. But not this bad.
  26. You would. But this regime has bent over backwards to surround our #1 pick with top end talent after early on bloviating about not needing to invest so much around him because he's that good. So there's only so much to go around. Especially when we are 4th in OL spending.
