  1. Past hour
  2. Not trying to derail the topic, but my LB crush Golday from Cincinnati is a 6'4" 245 lb WLB who has experience as an edge player. Imagine what you could do with that..... We have Jones II and Scourton to start and hold the edge--imagine a LB who can step up and play the 9tech while Scourton and or Jones slide down. Princely should improve. We could kill 2 birds here--at least on paper.
  3. Sign everyone and let the spreadsheet nerds figure it out. It's such a drag seeing fans have anxiety over sports budgets. We don't actually even know how much cap space the team has, sites are guessing.
  4. I agree 100% with most of what you said I can't justify treading up in 2026 with 2027 being a generational draft class that said there are some guys that I would love to have on the team I just can't justify the price of trading up but if you want to trade compensation in this draft to move up then sure why not because I think there's a sweet spot towards the late first through third round where the guys that are great are right in there after that it's a dead zone so by all means have at it
  5. We'll see. There's some guys who are intriguing. Drew Allar would probably be the top of my list. Talen Green has Anthony Richardson type physical talent and that's always intriguing if you can get it in the mid-rounds. The Baylor guy and the NDSU guy are two others. It's just really hard to predict exactly where these types of prospects are going to land on the draft and they're probably scattered wildly on draft boards across the league. All it takes is one for a guy to go a lot earlier than expected.
  6. Thats the problem (or positive how one could view) is that after say the top 8ish all of the next tier of talent is basically the same. You could get the same level at 13 as you could top of the 2nd. Yes there are a lot of those dudes in that tier but they are all bunched together. Thats why I am screaming trade back. Same value more picks with hopefully another 1 for 27.
  7. Is this class decent enough for a flyer on a 4th round development QB?
  8. I asked chat GPT about the injury if you scroll back a few posts and posted the results but it said that PCL long-term is better there should be no lingering effects so it shouldn't have a long-term effect on his career so I don't think you should look at it as he won't be the same player it's much more preferred over having an ACL injury which does change your long-term trajectory so I think if he's only going to miss maybe half the season or less you're better off getting a veteran or drafting a guy later to feel that stopgap until he returns to full form Also believe it or not the recovery time for PCL is shorter than an ACL tear so give me that nine times out of 10. Looking at the time frame I think he starts to season on the PUP list but after that he should be a go
  9. We don't do well with first round trades. Up or down. Just pick where we have it, take the best player we need and move on. Then when the field gets a bit muddier, make your moves for the needed spots. There's going to be a huge run on WRs as always (over valued in my opinion), there are a ton of OTs and Edge is always heavy in the first and second rounds. Grab your future starting S and ILB in rounds one and two, snag your C in three. Take trade offers to move down in rounds three and beyond for a spot in the same round plus another, even if in a future draft. We're going to have even more holes in our roster in 2027 than we do now.
  10. Chance for the Tarheels to lock in double bye for the ACC Tournament with a win tonight.
  11. I have a very hard time believing any of these types of rumors this time of year. We're in peak lying season. LOL
  12. Today
  13. A ruptured patellar tendon offers worse odds than an ACL. The fact is, no one knows his potential to return to form. It's certainly too early to know anything, especially from a fan's viewpoint. I hope he returns, but the fact is is that only around 50-55 percent of NFL players across all positions return at all from this injury according to Google AI, and roughly 22 percent of them return to their previous level of play after two years. For O-lineman it's likely even less considering their weight and movement requirements for the job. I truly hope for the best, but we can't count on him returning, much less returning to form. I tell you all this in order to inform you of the seriousness of the situation.
  14. Green has a howitzer and is an athletic marvel. He however cannot play the qb position very well. When your highlight tape is mostly scrambles that is telling
  15. I get what your saying.. but Ive seen how trying to play 'middle of the road' has gone.
  16. Yeah. As great as he looked, and it was fun as hell watching that, when you look at the postgame reviews of the plays there were some huge holes for him to run through. It wasn’t all him. We get the OL straight we can get production. IMO the single biggest thing we are missing at RB, is a short yardage bull. Especially with a QB that is no help there, we need to address that.
  17. There might be like 3 prospects I would be willing to move up for if they fall out of the top 10 (Bain, Bailey, Reese), but I highly doubt any of them do. Otherwise, hell no to a trade up
  18. Yeah slow down. I have googled and still don’t know if a patella rupture is interchangeable with posterior cruciate ligament. PCL.
  19. Well, at least we won't have to worry about his bad snaps any more. I still have nightmares about his snaps in the Jags game
  20. Spoiler alert - he has none of those. Picture a less athletic Anthony Richardson with a weaker arm - that is what he is.
  21. Funny enough, those good games Rico had were when Canales finally put BC at RG. Once BC got hurt, our run game turned to crap again (outside of the GB outlier game)
  22. When I say elite, I am talking Bowers and Tony Gonzalez type can't miss prospects. The ones that are the complete package (good athleticism, good blocking, knows how to position body for contested catches, able to run a complete route tree). I also wasn't big on Warren last year (although he at least had the college production) and wasn't sure on Loveland (didn't do enough research on him but was impressed with his route running). I just think TE is a luxury pick for us with how many positions we have that are void of talent. Now, if Sadiq is the best player (by a good margin) our front office thinks is available at 19, then I understand taking him. My worries with Sadiq is if he has to be used like a Pitts, Engram, etc. type TE where they get lined up in the slot because they can't block LBs or Dlinemen. And if that is what happens, it's pretty much like drafting an athletic tall receiver that isn't capable of running a complete route tree. And for how many freaks do we have... you do realize we drafted bum ass XL because we thought he was an athletic freak. Turns out that athleticism doesn't mean crap when you are dumb as rocks, can't run routes, and can't catch the ball... I feel like we have been drafting guys that are displaying elite athleticism at the combine over college production (and I think that has shown why a lot of our drafts prior to last year have sucked)
  23. He'll be out for 6-9 months at a minimum, possibly even 12 months and he'll never recover the explosion he once had - if he even comes back (I think it ends the career of like 20% of players that suffer it). If the research I did on the injury is correct (it was a while ago).
  24. Dowdle was good for a short stretch. He was poor outside those three weeks or so he turned into Adrian Peterson
