  1. Past hour
  2. Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
  3. I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
  4. I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game. If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game. Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time. I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
  5. Wouldn’t that be something. However, I don’t think anyone is overlooking us right now. (It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to say that. Feels good)
  6. You making fun of or not realizing how important that actually is leads me to believe you don’t have either of those assets and are subconsciously upset about it, or you’ve never been in a position to be a leader and thus you don’t value good leadership which Bryce oozes with.
  7. I said this last night to family. You can look at Bryce as not a “strong and physical” presence and that’s not going to change on you can look at it, that this guy has the type of skillset that sets him up to only get better for the next 5-7 years every year. He’s not going to know less about the game next year than this year. His timing will be better, his pocket presence better (even though the guy works around a pocket amazingly in my opinion), everything is just going to improve every year and I believed he’s already proved the doubters wrong other than nut huggers on here who just want a big strong man to drool over.
  8. The Seahawks won an emotional, divisional, overtime rivalry game vs the Rams on a Thursday night (Dec 18). That gives them 10 days to prepare for the Panthers, but the Christmas holiday fell a week later--I bet they were afforded an extra day for travel-many coming back east. Following the Panthers, Seattle plays at San Francisco for the division title (in all probability). The Rams finish the season with games against the Falcons and Cardinals, two likely wins, pushing them to 13-4. The Niners finish the season with home games against the Bears and Seahawks. Seattle finishes the season with the Panthers on the road and SF in California. It is easy to see how preparing for the Panthers, during the holiday break and with the Niners waiting for them in SF a week later for (what could be) the NFC West title and #1 Seed in the NFC, could create the perfect trap game scenario. The Panthers at home are 5-2. In the past 2 weeks, the Seahawks struggled to beat the Phillip Rivers Colts in Seattle and then pulled off a miraculous, emotional victory at home vs. the Rams. I am not convinced that they are as good as advertised. Seattle is a TD favorite in Charlotte. I feel that Carolina by 3 may be more accurate. While I am still not confident in this team's consistency and it never seems to dominate, it sure feels like a trap game for Seattle to me. How could they NOT be thinking of San Francisco right now? They are not used to being in this position (current players) and it is human nature. Carolina 27, Seattle 24.
  9. Today
  10. It is a tough decision. There is another factor. Is he in game shape? A tired Hunt is not better than an "in-shape" Corbett. When coming off an injury, it is natural to want to protect the injured area, even if it is completely healed. This can cause you to contort your body for no reason, lose fundamentals, and it could lead to other injuries. For example, I had a knee in high school that required getting taped. That made me aware of the knee (not used to tape on my knee) and I pulled my groin (favoring or dragging the leg with the tape). The trainer explained the groin injury the way I do here--but scared money makes no money. If he is cleared to play, he is cleared to play. Watch him, rotate him in for a series, etc. Specifically, I would want to watch the matchup--who is winning more--Corbett or Hunt? How is the defense reacting (if at all) to Hunt being in? Etc.
  11. Shannon was sued for $50 million (settled out of court, I believe) for forcing sex on his girlfriend during a two-year relationship. He denies it, but ESPN let him go last April. Chad Johnson's wife filed a police report because he head-butted her in a car and was put on probation. I had to google it. I watched the Ray Rice video and when you see it, you realize just how vile and cowardly abusing a woman really is. But for the same point Aussie tried to make, these women are defenseless, and being phyiscally bigger and stronger does not validate your actions. I can't even stand to watch Steve Smith. I can't normalize this kind of behavior--again, I do not think R-P had that in mind when he posted this. When the reason was exposed, we should realize that we are talking life (quality of) and death (in some cases) here.
  12. I can respect the fact that we should not glorify or normalize men who have a history of beating women. I do not think anyone was thinking of that when they posted this, but if head-butting your wife and unconsensual sex (rape) is something you cannot overlook, I agree with that. I think they are both half-crazed attention hounds regardless of their pasts.
  13. I think everyone thinks this. That's why it is hard for some people to critique him. He looks like a middle schooler.
  14. If we make the playoffs I want another shot versus the 49ers at home. Our defense had Purdy figured out and if we stick with the run next time we'd have a good chance to win or at the very least not embarrass ourselves. I wanna see Moehrig and the rest of the defense get their get back against Juan Jennings. I know for sure though that the 1 team I don't wanna play against in the wild card is the Rams. I know we beat them, but it took a lot of luck and mistakes on their part, and I don't think we'd get that lucky again.
  15. Do we want anybody particular? I know if we beat Seattle and the Bucs lose this week, we're in (which would give us a week to rest some guys and get Hunt back).
  16. Lost their OC and DC to head coaching gigs. They’ve struggled with injuries and there’s been regression too. One could argue their strength of schedule has had an impact (second most games against play off teams). It was always going to be a difficult season for them. Campbell has no history as a play caller before Detroit. He’s never been an OC in any of his previous stops. So it’s not surprising to see mixed results as he’s not known for offensive prowess. What Campbell brings to the table is leadership, respect and culture setting philosophy.
  17. Watching Rivers making adjustments based on pre snap reads is a revelation. Didn't we draft Bryce because he's reputedly a super processor who can shred defenses with his intellect? Well, well, well...
  18. Maybe give the Panthers more Prime time stand alone games next season.
  19. If that's how you feel whats stopping you from putting your fists up and doing it?
  20. Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
  21. I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft. That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal. Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately. Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him. Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR. Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
  22. Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
  23. Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative. If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
  24. Apparently Ben Johnson calls better plays than Dan.
