Is Canales digging his own grave?kungfoodude replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers He seems like a players coach to a fault. Just wants everyone to like him.

Is Canales digging his own grave?kungfoodude replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers I would heavily disagree. Canales inability to take advantage of the 31st ranked rush defense was solely his doing. Andy definitely aided heavily in that loss but the utter lack of in game adjustments and the refusal to use offensively personnel in an logical manner is his own doing.

Is Canales digging his own grave?Aussie Tank replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers It's a little unfair on Canales but im not sacking him unless we're gonna take another swing on a early QB. I know he wouldn't of got a chance to draft his guy but hes billed as a vet QB whisperer. I don't want the next HC to be in the same position having to try mold another coaches pick at QB and the cycle starts again
-
I think it was a little more than that. Scheme and alignment were predictable with no adjustments. Bills found a play and blocking scheme that worked so they just kept running it until we made them do something else. We didn't. Maybe a run stunt or something where the defenders wouldn't constantly be exactly where you want them.
-
I think our coaches are being pushed by the front office to play the big contract/high draft pick guys so the front office doesn't look like a bunch of morons.

I'm All In On Drafting a QB in Round 1kungfoodude replied to Daddy_Uncle's topic in Carolina Panthers I personally see more Hopkins than Evans but if he gets close to either, I will be very happy.

-
Yep, a washed Dalton and Bryce are the same tier QB. But yeah, Andy had a day that Bryce routinely has. 2 Rico games really distorted things for some

Is Canales digging his own grave?electro's horse replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers Mcconkey actually lines up more at the z position in the nfl than the pure slot. Hes only in the slot on three wr sets which the chargers run about 30% of the time. I cannot find the article about it but I just read it like three weeks ago in college he lined up everywhere. I feel like poo and I just want him back https://x.com/mlfootball/status/1777805285307912703?s=46

Is Canales digging his own grave?electro's horse replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers Andy daltons stat line from Sunday was 16/24, 175 yards, a pick (on a frankly incredible play by the bills) and a fumble on a hit from behind. That’s basically what you get from Bryce every week. On that pick, Andy checked into that play and Shaq heard it and called it out. End just jumped the route. Great play all around. why are we using the same communication language against the guy who wore the green dot and practiced against this team in practice every week as the leader of the defense? sure would be stupid for an offensive minded head coach who doesn’t have to worry about the defense to overlook something like that.

Trevis Gipson CARDefensive Lineman#56 Panthers signed EDGE Trevis Gipson off the 49ers’ practice squad. Gipson had actually been one of San Francisco’s main outside players last week while they dealt with injuries, but figures to play a backup role in Carolina. It’s another blow for a 49ers defensive line group that struggled to rush the passer against the Texans last week.

Oh, I think Canales had to "try" Bryce. That lasted 2 games. They moved on. The fact the QB room was built so poorly allowed the "comeback". Now, this season, we had the same QB room issue only Dalton is much worse. Dan Morgan was Fitterer's right hand man. I still don't get the mental gymnastics of Dan somehow was secret against all the bad moves and Bryce. and I 10000% think the GM's office sold Bryce Young to Tepper and won out over Frank (they had more and louder voices). Dan was part of it. I know Tepper takes mistakes on the chin and moves on. We all know that. I disagree with the notion our QB room is what it is because of Tepper.....it's got to be more Morgan than anyone

Is Canales digging his own grave?Cpt slay a ho replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers I mean if Hubbard didn’t get dinged we might have a losing record just like Bryce I can’t name one thing he excels at, offense is garbage and the team more times than not shows up unprepared in all phases brought back a dc who field the worst defense in panthers history…. idk how some can look at that and say “yeah we can win with this guy”
-
Some media outlets are still saying he’s gonna be a future HC if you can believe it.
-
The Bills oline were bear hugging our dline on every sweep run to the left side. They were so successful at it that they just kept doing it all game no matter which side they ran to. Our dline just allowed them to do it.
-
Let's start with a game where our offense doesn't turn the ball over 2+ times in the first half.... Everybody sucked last week outside of Tet and maybe Sam Martin....

Is Canales digging his own grave?electro's horse replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers I don’t know why the signing of a backup qb is that big a deal to some people. You need a backup qb, they get paid about 5 mil a season, Dalton is as good as any. Role of a backup qb is to be well liked and eh able to come in for 1-2 starts a season. Dalton played like complete ass but so did everyone else. It’s easy to focus on him because hes one guy but did he play worse than the linebackers played collectively? if you’re saying we should have just tossed a fifth rounder at a qb, then yeah sure, but that means you don’t get the probably pretty good tight end we drafted. And at the end of the day you’re likely just drafting Matt coral again. this is generally right though. I’m biased towards brooks because i was coming up on shrooms when we drafted him and I think he could have been special. We’ll never know now though.

This was definitely Evero's worst game to date with playcalling (up there with JAX refusing to cover the seams when JAX kept running the same pass play). Let's also recognize that nobody in the front 7 won a one-on-one block that game. I think teams will start realizing running away from DB and running toss plays to make our LBs quickly make the correct read is a good way to run on us
-
So what he's saying is that if people don't get off their blocks, good things happen for the O?
-
That is valid. I don’t use it but I will do a search and often end up there on an answer to the question. But I can’t navigate that place or don’t want the bother of it I should say.

Is Canales digging his own grave?OldhamA replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers We're at an impasse. I just don't believe Young hasn't been forced upon Canales and Morgan. Nothing you can say will change that.
