I agree that Wilson isn't the answer, I'm simply just saying that there is a connection there and Canales favors his Seattle boys ala David Moore. But people want to see if Bryce is really handicapping Canales or not, then let him choose his QB who he's worked with and see how he does. Also it'll let us know how much influence Canales has over Dan Morgan.
-
I remember. Brooks was okay. But Jake turned out better. Our gain. Imagine if Rodney Peete hadn’t stunk it up vs Jax that day.
-
fug that. Russell Wilson is just cashing checks at this point. This year when he was playing for the Giants he would just flat out bail on any play where he thought he might get hit. He doesn't want to be out there anymore but seems like he's gonna keep cashing checks for as long as an NFL owner is willing to write them.
-
Of all the available QBs next year, Russell Wilson is most likely to be brought in. He has previous experience with Canales in Seattle and has won a superbowl with them. And apparently per a report Canales loves Wilson. It's just concerning that Wilson has lost his jobs to 2 rookie QBs, Dart and Bo Nix. Steelers also preferred a 40 y/o Rodgers so I don't know how much Wilson has left in the tank.
-
He was backing up Aaron Brooks who at the time was a solid starter. He didn't last long but there were 2-3 years there where he looked legit.
-
And Jake sat in New Orleans too. Probably got outshined in practice there too.
-
Lol nope. His best is backup level and hos worst is Andy Dalton who should have retired.
-
Yeah, if we had a legit top tier backup I imagine that guy would probably be outshining Bryce on practice making the locker room go "wait a minute, why isn't this guy our starting QB?" Weinke always outshined Jake in practice too but the key difference was that Jake actually delivered on Sunday.
-
Yep. At his best he was basically an average starter.
-
this year he is averaging 180 yards a game 61% completetion During his mythical 10 game stretch last year he averaged 200 yards per game 60% completion. you truly thank that is worthy of a 5th year 30 million dollar option?

That's just simply not true. Discredits last 10 games of last year and his games post NE this year.
-
I concur. The fish were close, yet so far. I really learned nothing new about the Ravens last night. I don't know if they're improving, or if they're just a sucky team this season largely living off of reputation.

Kaye: Panthers not likely to be "sellers" at trade deadlineTD alt replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers I'd trade Chuba for a solid LB in a hot second. Just being honest.

Kaye: Panthers not likely to be "sellers" at trade deadlineTD alt replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers I can see that, but there are quality backs coming out every year. There are backs in FA that become available every year. As much as I have praised Chuba and think that he's a solid back, he's not special. He's certainly not special enough for me to lose any sleep if he's traded.

Kaye: Panthers not likely to be "sellers" at trade deadlinestrato replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers I didn’t think you could really trade an injured player. I can’t know, but can’t dismiss Chuba possibly being less that 100%. Although, if you have no intention of trading said injured player, you could use him to spark discussions with teams that may lead to another player entering the mix. Technically. edit: yes it would be foolish to put any value in Brooks. He is pure gravy if he happens.

Ravens could have piled it on if they wanted to but they basically hit the brakes in the 3rd. The funny part is that the Dolphins missed a 35 yard FG, had a turnover in the red zone and didn’t get a 4th and 2 in the red zone. They also had a BS tripping call on a pass that wiped out a Waddle reception to the Baltimore 7 yard line. 28-18 if they just got FGs on those red zone drives/aborted drives. Some better play calls and it could have easily been a game. Again, I think the Ravens could have scored more if needed, but the Dolphins (and refs) blew a lot of scoring opportunities last night.

Kaye: Panthers not likely to be "sellers" at trade deadlineMr. Scot replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers I can't sign on to trading Hubbard while I believe he still isn't fully healthy (so can't be properly evaluated) and Dowdle is only on a one-year deal. Also don't trust in Brooks at all.
-
Woof. I watched that game. The Dolphins really are that bad. So bad that for all the praise that the Ravens got last night, I've got to wonder if we just saw them successfully punching their way out of a paper bag.
-
I don’t think he does, but I think they think he does. Someone does. edit: I think it isn’t even that, that is just what they use to keep from saying the real reason. Which is shielding him from competition or perceived competition and keeping them out of a QB controversy situation. Which could blow it up.
