  2. Uefa today. I like them round robin x2s as well but probably won't do that.
  3. Thats good for the long term. Shows maturity as a coach. I like Canales.

  6. Idzik and Bevell will call plays per everyone
  7. Do we not use TEs much by design or do we just not have any TEs justifying heavy TE usage in the passing game?
  8. Yep. Pisses me off knowing in 3 years we’ve drafted Zavala and nothing else. Go back 6 years and Iky is the main draft capital with BC, Zavala and fat Deonte Brown, who also was drafted before Trey Smith. There were dozens of OL we discussed in here and wanted to draft and our GMs did nothing and now that one key injury means we are now in trouble at C and both T spots.

  10. Canales gave up play calling to Idzik
  11. Tremble is in an offense that doesn’t run a ton of TE routes and frankly doesn’t throw the ball much. What I was trying to show is that Kmet only has better stats because he has 399 targets to 168 targets for Tremble. There’s a reason why Loveland was drafted and took over as the starter. Kmet is just a guy and isn’t much more productive per target than Tremble. He doesn’t improve us if he comes here and is barely noticeable only getting 40-50 targets. Do you think he’ll get more targets than our WRs in a run first offense? Can he even run block well?
  12. 22 years.... ehhh maybe not well but honestly not terribly
  13. Today
  14. No. He will definitely leave here and win elsewhere. He's gotta learn how to be a coach and mix that with his knowledge.
  15. At least it's not the Raiders.
  16. You have to draft OL every year. The position(s) is just too much of a meat grinder and teams rarely make it through a season playing all 5 starters as a single unit. The team started the season with 9 OL on the active roster. By the end of the season, we had listed 14 different OL on the roster. You can't just rely on FA to fill all those positions, especially when 17% of you roster is made up of OL. Of the 7 picks we get every year, the simple math dictates at least one at some point should be going to replenish the trenches.
  17. He is going to want more than that. And a simple glance around the league at other qb situations in regards to contracts should tell morgan and co that is not good for business
  18. If Morgan allows that to happen. I still have hope a Tua like situation can be averted. I think he already sort of crippled the roster. At least hobbled it. Look at the resources denied to the defense for two solid years.
  19. Its the pro football version of being hired by a tech firm in a consulting/advisory role. You get a cushy compensation packages to show up late, eat free lunch, leave early, and take PTO. Then by the time people have figured out you do nothing, you move on to the next gig.
  20. Bryce's size is not as big an issue now as it will be when he demands $50m per year. Then you can't afford an OL that makes $100m and WRs with $20m+ contracts. Not when you consider the Brown and Horn contracts on defense--before you pay your edge rushers....Da maff ain't gonna add up. That is how having a Hobbit at QB is going to cripple the roster.
  21. That’s a stretch. A winning record and not backing into the playoffs ranks much higher than what our outcome actually was. At least for me. And I am pretty sure I am one of those people you are referring to. The holes were poked by the team’s shortcomings, no one here had a hand in that. Noticing them, is just seeing things for what they are. I didn’t expect us to be in the playoffs or even sniff them last year. We over achieved just to do that but also we showed what we were not, down the stretch. Us doing so well against the Rams’ defense two times and so poorly against other teams told me Seattle was going to beat them in the playoffs. They had obvious weaknesses. Speaking of, glad we could finally exploit someone’s weaknesses in the passing game. Those two Rams games were really entertaining games, both the win and the loss. Watch what the Rams do in the offseason, bet they will address it.
  22. Yeah I think the jobs are more consulting type of work, and probably have very little pressure to grind like a normal coach. I really was not inclined to like Caldwell because the offense was such a train wreck in his first year. I just always thought he may have had a lot of say in the way that offensive staff got put together. Which I saw as a fail, I especially did not get the Thomas Brown OC deal. Then add the backstabbing type of stuff rumored to be going on behind the scenes. It would be nice if we had some clarity on that but we are not gonna get it.
  23. Here's the thing; the Panthers were the better team against TB. The officiating in that game was historically awful toward only one team. If the Panthers win that game, though, the Saints-Falcons tilt means nothing and it gets fewer eyeballs. Also, if the Panthers win that game, I'm gonna predict "Yeah 9-8, nothing to be proud of" would be the motto around here. There's plenty of negativity. Poking holes in a playoff season, something that comes once per decade or so around here, seems to be an unhealthy exercise.
