Would be retarted..... I could get down with a 1st round te though... I mean TMAC would be a run away OROTY with a qb who could throw down the field.

Good for him making something good out of the league being ridiculous. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/11/05/panthers-nfl-rico-dowdle-key-peele-celebration-fundraiser/87115947007/ -
Vet QB Options - Trade/Cut/FA Edition
PleaseCutStewart replied to PanthersNCSU's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fair point. I do think he did very well the 1st half of that one year he started for the Saints when they ran a run/playaction pass type offense, which could fit in with our current style of offense. I still think Winston is capable of making any NFL caliber throw, which you won't see from any of the bottom half QBs. Dude just doesn't make smart decisions when the 1st read isn't open -
Super impressive given the oline injuries. Also depressing because Brycey still couldnt throw

Panthers RB Rico Dowdle has found a way to pump donations into a worthwhile cause. Thought this was kinda tacky by NFL but Rico turned it into something very positive. Salute Rico!!! Go Panthers!!!!!!! https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/11/05/panthers-nfl-rico-dowdle-key-peele-celebration-fundraiser/871

Young QBs lead their teams to undefeated October
DeAngelo Beason replied to KaseKlosed's topic in Carolina Panthers
Oh. Well their success is definitely because of their soft schedule. They snuck away with a win against a hated division rival, but overall they have played basically no one. And we were absolutely no one when they played us. Let's not forget we blanked the Falcons 30-0, then the Falcons beat the Bills, then the Bills massacred us. Division games are just weird sometimes. -
Yeah, I just don't know if anyone has seen enough of anything from him. Pandemic shortened college career, injury setbacks early on etc.

I don't think he did best us, but... Drake Maye throws for 200 yards and has 3 total TDs vs us... Panthers fans: Drake Maye didn't beat us! Also Panthers fans when Bryce Young has 100 yards and an INT: Bryce Young lead us to victory! -
Lance would be an interesting player to bring in to try and develop but the 1000 of question marks about his ability to follow a game plan worries me. He seems to be a player that moves to improvise more than follow the play.
-
Both.
-
As long as the long term plan isn’t around Young I don’t care how they do it. I’d rather depend on a Vet or try a rookie again.
-
Would not be opposed to bringing him in.

I don’t understand the point of Mayfield 2023. what was he in 2024 and this year? Although losing Evans might cut this year back a little. (scratch that 2023, I was off a year). Two things, something like 1.5, give or take, more per game gives you in the range of 22-28 more over a season. Even 1 is 17 more shots. And if you are successful on one or two of your three, you have established the threat as real, and can operate the near field more freely. Which besides the chance at a quick score, is the point of doing it.

That comment wasn't about Maye. It was in response to suggesting that his and their team success is primarily about a soft schedule when they kicked the poo out of us and beat Buffalo who also kicked the poo out of us. -
There's not doubting Lance has immense physical talents, and he's young (was a 20 year old rookie). The problem is by this point, he should be showing real signs of being a guy who can play in the league. Someone will gamble on him based on pedigree and hope a change of scenery after some organizational stability will be good for him. Should the Panthers? If Bryce continues to play "meh" then I'm all for looking anywhere for competition and/or a replacement.

Chargers Ideal Trade Emerges After Strong Preseason Showing - LAFB Network

Just stating a fact. You know my position
-
If I had to guess, I would say the future will be extend Bryce at the end of the season and use our first round pick on a wr for the third draft in a row.
-
He was an option in 2023 that we rejected to trade the farm for the magic beans, if I remember right.
-
So we should just keep the QB room as is? Ok. Mods delete this or change it to another Bryce thread, please.
