He's set to be a free agent. ESPN believes he'll get a 50 million dollar deal. I don't think we'll be in the market for his services, though I wish we were. It will be interesting to see who gambles on him.

NFL.com mock draft: Panthers trade up for Reuben Bain
ProcessBlue2 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
No point in trading up for a guy like that so Evero can put him in coverage for his scheme. Dan will draft a guy day 2 or 3 and sign somebody like Oweh. 1st round will be a T or LB -
I think you forget that Canales is what made Geno a commodity in Seattle in the first place. While I am not a great fan of Geno, I wouldn't be surprised to see him back up Young. I would prefer Sam Howell because I believe he has the best opportunity to become a starter of all the free agents out there minus Cousins.

You don't have to click on them its offseason lad -
I hear you. Andy threw to him and it went well. Bryce doesn’t put the ball in the best places, and we have not seen XL used like we, or I at least, expected to see him used. Part of his complaints. It is valid to a degree. My thing about that is shut up about that XL people don’t want to hear that from you they want to hear I need to be better, I don’t think it will work here because at this point I don’t see his QB doing him any better than he did Renfro. Just don’t have any connection. And of course Bryce is the golden child who will stay in the fold when there is some incompatibility with a teammate and XL had a fair shot and couldn’t take advantage of it. A lot of it is on him.

Chargers gave up more sacks and their two RB's together amassed 1188 rushing yards and 2 more touchdowns than Jeanty. They still won 11 games in the same conference. The Raiders are the Raiders but Pete Carroll and Geno Smith were also simply terrible.

He ran pretty well on the few occassions he ran. I think Seattle just did a good job with containment. - Today

He looks washed and seems like an entitled dickhead. Kinda the opposite of what I'm looking for.

Geno Smith is not only a trash QB he is completely out of touch and unappreciative of the massive contract he never even deserved in the first place. I wouldn't want him on the Panthers even if he played for free.

We’ll see. I don’t know the Miami area but Florida is leaning law and order unlike some other places in this country. His attorneys will try to politicize it, to blame the victim, they’ll use all the go to defense tactics they do these days. Throw the book at him as far as I care, NFL players are not gods and shouldn’t get special treatment. But they do get it.

Yeah, no. Lets not do this. And lets not start a thread about every mock draft juan. -
as a backup qb on a cheap deal I would absolutely welcome Geno with open arms. 1 bad year in a terrible situation doesnt erase the fact that he has thrown for 4000 yards multiple times. Would I want him as a long term solution, hell no, but he is light years better than Dalton and probably light years better than bryce

19 to 11 won't be cheap and frankly we still have too many holes to go trading up. We're going to need out 2nd and 3rd rounders. -
It was clear as day that was an real time super fuging stupid decision lol. Then the nerve of that guy to defend it in a press conference afterwards. Prime example of not believing a gm is smarter than the average fan.

You know that was Jordan penny pinching

I really don't want to see Morgan doing any trading up in the first two rounds. It has not been a pretty picture. -

Pick 11 Carolina Panthers Rueben Bain Jr. Miami · Edge · Junior PROJECTED TRADE WITH MIAMI DOLPHINS GM Dan Morgan has said he plans to add "one or two" more pass rushers this offseason to upgrade the Panthers' pressure unit. So even though Carolina invested second- and third-round picks in edge defenders last April, Morgan sends a 2026 third-rounder and a 2027 second-rounder to the Fins to move up eight spots for a fellow Miami product. Bain's average length could push him out of the top 10, but he'll be a special player who can get after quarterbacks and hold up against the run

It is diviseness yes but the real glaring aspect is mental illness and it is a serious problem in our country. Broader social media is absolutely amplifying it. But nobody knows how to unplug. The same as they don't know how to stop ordering endless crap from Amazon that they don't really need. -

Huge QB contracts really hurt the team in the long run. Hard to build a complete team when so much cap is tied up in one spot. Brady kept his cap hit lower so other players could be brought in. Granted he was compensated in other ways. The QB contracts are almost what the rookie contracts used to be, a weight around the neck of the team that drag you down.
