  1. Past hour
  2. Sign Marcus Mariota as FA and trade for Will Levis (6th or later). Cut Bryce and Andy.
  3. Don't completely agree with the picks but 100% agree with the strategy. I have been saying this for weeks now. As @LinvilleGorge pointed out, it's the strategy the Giants employed and although not successful, it has at least given them ample options when one fails.
  4. That’s exactly how it went down for me. I’ve had a few concussions, but I ended up vomiting like 45 minutes after. I was playing backyard football, got trucked, and slammed the back of my head on frozen turf. I was out of it for a bit, took a small nap on the sidelines, drove home, puked in the yard, then slept the rest of the day. Ended up being a grade 3 concussion, but no concerns of a fracture or anything like that.
  5. I think this is a damning thing for Dave Canales. He is going to end up losing the team over his confounding decisions on the offensive side of the ball, which he is directly responsible for.
  6. Draft 2 qbs and sign Howell, Mac Jones, or Levis, or mills
  7. Had been a while since I saw him play just was wondering everyones thoughts on him. I thought he looked pretty much the same, his low average per carry seems to be more of an oline run blocking issue it seems. He has never been a huge push the pile runner thought he would benefit from more runs to the outside but he is on pace for 1000 1000 so cant say too much. Also thought his post game interview was nice you could tell he still thought alot of charlotte and the players he played with.
  8. Head coach keeps calling passing plays, even when the running game shows some promise in the face of adversity. Coach is giving the QB every, every, every chance to prove he can be the guy that is needed to fulfill what he needs from the position. And it just is disappointment after disappointment. One big game and the rest are nothing burgers except for a twinkle of light here and there. You just know Canales is looking at Bryce going, "He's just such a great kid, I'm giving him every chance, but..." Prepare for a change next season in QB. Bryce will end up as the QB2, a role he will be pretty darned good at, here or wherever. And I think his teammates are in the same boat as the coach. They love the guy but they are chained to him right now.
  9. I would stay away from this game betting wise. It has the makings of being one of those weird games we actually play close in like Philly and KC last year. Team pissed off, back home, + Rams possibly overlooking us. Good chance Dave actually runs the ball this week. Not saying we will win at all but there could be a garbage time TD that makes it a 8-9 point game late in the 4th. Rams don’t care about the spread, they want to get the win and go back home all the way across the country.
  10. A little but in reality a lot of those people are silent or gone. Many had some large issues with it or have already admitted wrongness. Then came the obligatory 'well he is here so I have to hope or pretend' that came after the pick. The poo was worth it. He was and is a mistake. Flat out, no asterisks needed.
  11. Everybody has a price. Texans have no OL or OL depth. They would part with him for a pick.
  12. But he was Young's mentor and buddy! You didn't want to hinder his development, did you?
  13. I know they are backups but our starters should be the backups. Arvell Reese please.
  14. That's not why they signed Dalton tho. They signed him because he is cheap, because he is washed, and because they didn't want a viable option B other than Dalton level. That's also part of why it wasn't fine. Their first 2 years together he was mentor and he was a strategic block this year. You know who that guy your talking g about was this year? Plumber lol
  15. But that’s the thing, I’m not saying he should be on the roster NOW, but you re-sign Dalton in the offseason and he’s at least around for training camp and preseason. Then you have Young and a rookie, and Dalton is there to mentor and compete for the backup spot. If the rookie shows enough promise you can cut Dalton before the season. If not, rookie gets mysteriously IRed after a preseason game and we’re in the same situation we are now. But at least they tried to improve the backup position. Neither spot had any competition since the infamous Baker vs Darnold battle.
  16. So, looks like slightly less than 6% of the Huddle still has faith in Bryce.
  17. Not saying he was the issue but it was never going to work with who was in charge of the Panthers at the time. The Scott Fitterer / Matt Rhule combo did irreparable damage to this franchise that might never be repaired
  18. Dalton was washed last year. 2 years in a row he had 1 ok game and then showed how bad it was and that was with all the resting and still getting easily hurt. There is nothing fine about using roster spots for guys who are so obviously washed, especially when their vontravt is up and it can be naturally ended. If it was fine then they woukd have another playable QB on the roster. Maybe a guy who could do hail marries and QB sneaks for the other QB mistake. They went cheap and dumb so now they have a PS scrub that's option B and no help whatsoever.
  19. I mean, it does have something to do with physical limitations. They impact Bryce and the play we can/can't get. You see examples most weeks of that coming into play. NFL defenses, the non-dumb ones, have figured him out. But you got some teams that refuse to follow the path because NFL coaches are stubborn and some insist on just doing what they do (see Atlanta and their blitzing). You can send some pressure at Bryce but the key to making him irrelevant is asking him to sit back and try to read/throw into coverage. only way for Canales to get rid of Bryce....is to not try to steal every game he can in spite of the QB
  20. Where the wobbly passes and tip toe even if not needed throws come from. Looks at his legs in the pocket his knees and feet are all over the place. Then he keeps wanting to make all arm pass like he don't need a strong throwing base, but his arm is on the weaker side. It's more than clear the play caller don't trust him so the whole game plan is handicapped from the start.
  21. He immediately was in some weird and bogus QB competition and was never really given the team going into the season. And we know from Teddy to Cam......vet QBs spoke about how Matt Rhule wasn't running a legit NFL program while employed. I don't think Baker was the issue.
  22. It’s generational. When you’re younger than the players you look up to them. When they’re your age you root for them as peers (in age at least) now almost all the players are younger than me and I look at them like kids. I don’t think I’ll ever have the same passion for the team I did years ago, but there’s different reasons for that. But the losing and blatant ineptitude doesn’t help at all.
  23. Bringing back Dalton was fine but it never should have been the only option. Now we’re in a situation where if Young doesn’t play, they’re potentially putting a practice squad QB in the starting lineup. Should never happen.
