That is weird. Regardless, 24 or 18th place, that's only about 1.4% ( 37% vs 38.4% )difference which is pretty insignificant overall. As far the QB ratings on 4th down, could you either give me the data or point me to were I can find it. Again, I am just going on what statmuse provided on 4th down numbers. Given how much more successful the Panthers have been on 4th downs than the Lions, I am curious to see how Geoff rates higher. Not trying to be arguementative. I am honestly curious.

Yes but with no blow outs of our own to even it out. I guess that would be pretty odd to have a team that either wins or loses by 30 every week and has ~0 point differential.

Our gameplan is pretty much hope that the other team fugs up more than we fug up. Somehow that strategy has resulted in a winning record (so far)

It was horrible for Young’s development Young had guys like Hurst and Chalk who aren’t even in the league anymore. Mingo and Sanders might as well retire. The OL was a disaster. Reich’s scheme ran its course in Indy and got canned for a reason. Not in NFL anymore either. Houston is a complete team with real good pieces at the most important positions. Arguably best pass rushing duo in league. A top 10 corner. A top 10 WR. It’s a damn good spot for a young QB. This team gets murdered when Young doesn’t play. The beat Vegas that was it. Other than that the games weren’t even close. Meanwhile the Texans go 3-0. I mean even Stroud himself has talked about how he went to a much better situation

It would be disappointing if he didn't try his very best. I would expect him to put everything he has into the game, hard feelings or not, he will still want to show off what we are missing.

That's fine and all, but I think you missed a little bit with what I was saying. It's not that your opinion doesn't matter or have merit, but I would think Bears fans feel exactly the same, that it shows they are growing and learning how to win, not just getting lucky bounces. In that way, we are biased, even to the point that will seek out data that will support our feelings and judgement.

Doesn't really matter the sport or the reason for the departure. That's just from my pro sports watching experience since I was a kid. Granted it's not a guarantee it will happen. But pretty much every pro athlete is going to want to put on a show against their ex team.

Exactly. It's not that nuanced. We've seen plenty of QBs have really great games, and they just are what they are. They had a great game. Mike White's done it. Kyle Allen's done it. There's a million examples. Remember that Packers backup dude that had 1 good game and got a Seahawks contract out of it? Before Russ came in the same year and made him useless lol.

Don't even need to bring up the rookie season. Bryce has had absolutely terrible games this season behind a very good offensive line. I don't know why we have to attack Stroud and convolute 3 seasons of football. Lets just hope Bryce can string more than 1 game like last week together.

I got the 3rd down stats from statmuse. They show the Panthers at 18, not 24. I'm not trying to inflate his numbers to make him look better. I am just going by what I see in the table. If you have a problem with my claim he's about average, you will have to take it up with them.

You can't say that with any certainty at all. Bryce played the worst football of any rookie ever. His mechanics and footwork have nothing to do with Frank, DC or anyone else. All those ints and fumbles, yep, those are Bryce too. Bryce and Stroud are 2 different QBs. Just because Bryce had one complete game in year 3 vs Atlanta doesnt mean he could have led a team to the playoffs his rookie year.

I don't understand the tone, I gave you my ranking, that's it. And yes, I still view Lawrence and Kyler are still ahead, in my opinion, which doesn't really mean much lol. What's this have to do with being a fan ffs? I will say, they are at the end of the list/the more arguable/debatable guys. So open to debate but it seems you're going straight to the "you're not a fan" debate. Which is super annoying. Maybe I'd agree Bryce could be ~19-20 on the list if the argument was laid out instead. His Atlanta game was better than anything they have done in recent memory, but he's had like 10 other games this season. He is way more inconsistent in my view, due to a few factors... Shotty footwork - he has a shallow lazy step back from gun that puts an OL in an impossible place. Goes on his toes wayyy to much for my liking. Poor upper body mechanics. His upper body remains parallel to the LOS and has to perform that rapid twitch/turn motion to get in stance His shallow drops also create a lack of sight lines so he can't layer throws well He's had poor pocket presence - not last week, but it's been a thing Pure traits standpoint Arm strength is mediocre Mobility is mediocre - can outrun at times but quicker IDLs can catch him Accuracy is a range due to his inconsistency - can be above average to very poor. His career so far has been pretty bad with intermediates (which again was not the case against ATL) Ball Security Way too sensitive to fumbling Has exhibited very poor decision making, especially in first halves that put the team behind This all does NOT take away that he had a GREAT performance against ATL. He was able to extend plays, found guys post-route in stride, the XL throw in Q3 was fantastic, a few of the Coker crossers were beauts. There's no disputing that. But yeah, in totality, it hasn't looked good but he absolutely cooked last week. Outside of that, he's only had 5 other 250 yard passing games in his entire career. He stalls on drives, makes annoying turnovers, doesn't see the right guys. It's okay to both say that and the fact that he balled tf out last week. I hope he continues so we get better and maybe can make some noise. Big test on Monday.

Actually that part abuot the Bears is not my opnion. I was watching some show and they were talking about how lucky the Bears have been this year. That's the only reason I brought it up.

The Texans just went 3-0 without Stroud and beat the Jags (who they lost to earlier this season with Stroud) and the Bills (who murdered us) Just goes to show you how much of a difference there is between the two situations for these two QB’s who’ll forever be compared to one another Bryce would’ve had the rookie season Stroud did if he went to Houston. Bobby Slowik looked like a genius his first year calling plays and was scheme guys open downfield. Plus Stroud has always had a true WR1 in Nico. Canales need to let Bryce cut it loose a lot more often. Canales can’t seem to figure out the strength of his own team. He’s made countless boneheaded roster decisions. Chuba/Rico. ETN should get Chuba’s snaps at this point. Corbett/Mays. Now Zavala over Corbett. TMac not being used in the slot more. Our problems stem from Canales. Not Bryce.

Flash forward maybe 20 years and we could finally have a brand motif that is significantly different where we would officially have "throwback" styles celebrating the first X decades of the team. Still wear my Panthers NFC WEST sweatshirt on occasion
