It would be just like that awful pass he threw into blanket coverage that got picked off against the Texans in preseason. But because it was a free play it was fine. The fact he even threw that in the first start of his regular season is very concerning at the least. His decision making has not improved. He's supposed to be a super processor. -
They didn't. Young was the anointed one by the media. The hype around him was unreal.

They would have made an excuse for it. Rinse and repeat. -
Young is historically bad and that's before you factor in what we traded for him.
-
its just the 3rd season of poo excuses. What fuging else does bryce need to throw over 200 yards?

Seems like the subjective looks at Bryce we are seeing seem to be much more positive than these statistical analyses seem to be. I would say that even if Sharp didn't watch the game(somewhat seems that he didn't) his larger point is that we are still seeing the same results, regardless of the short term subjective takes. I basically tend to agree. I don't think this a Baker Mayfield scenario where the team/offense is clearly the bulk of the problem. I will say that some of the subjective takes obviously do showcase some of the other flaws with the offense overall(XL, Renfrow, TMac making poor plays or the general better outcomes being possible). But this is also ignoring some of the poor placement or late timing that seems to be more Bryce related than anything else. I am just done with the Bryce experience. He lacks elite skills, so attempting to "gut this out" for another season(or worse, more) seems foolish when you see that his ceiling is so low. Even the supposed best case version(Drew Brees comp) was seeing far superior results in his early Chargers struggles prior to his breakout in year 4(which was really year 3). So if that was going to happen, it should be happening this season. -
outside of XL not getting his feet down …. How did the WRs let him down? Or is TMac, who played great, potentially running one bad route on a play in his first NFL game enough for that claim? Despite every NFL QB facing Sunday’s with imperfect WR play, imperfect OL play, etc. excuses are just made for Bryce that aren’t recognized as just life as a QB. You can pick any QB in the NFL and find a host of plays where things didn’t go to plan around them all game
-
He probably goes for like 180 yards off some very very conservative throws at 60% ish completion with the RBs doing all the heavy lifting ….then Bryce defenders will declare it an example of how great Bryce can be. Bryce will have one downfield throw. An incompletion to TMac on a 50/50’ball. PFF will declare Young one of the best deep passers in the NFL week 2….because if TMac caught it Bryce would have been PERFECT!!

I simply cannot imagine being this delusional -
I don’t look at what could have been I look at what happened and what happened is the WR let Bryce down AND Bryce sucked.

Yeah, if they think it's Bryce, we will know soon. -
poo mechanics lack of arm strength lack of size not particularity athletic so whats his talent. Let me guess he is a steph curry, point guard that processes the field quickly? Do I have that right?
-
What in the absolute holy fug are you babbling about? He literally missed throws because he cannot see the field. The commentators mentioned it and we discussed it here in real time. He misses throws due to lack of arm strength and poo mechanics. He doesnt know how to slide, a simple fuging qb trait, therefore he is prone to fumbles. He still has to jump pass and again it leads to sailing throws. I mean seriously what in the fug were you watching on sunday. If you are still defending Bryce at this point you are either related to him or simply dont know what the fug you talking about

Someone did some real research and when you break it down like he does it really helps put things into perspective. We keep seeing and hearing all these excuses why it isn’t BY and that crap just don’t match the eye test. It’s year 3, second year in the same scheme. Stop it! This is the NFL, you don’t get participation trophies in the NFL. Time to stop coddling this guy and speak truths because it’s only going to help him get better…if he can. -
Starting nick scott, the LB play, the DL play--Evero ain't working. No real pressure on the QB, and we kept giving up first downs on third and long-- I give him 4 games and if this does not flip towards the positive, bye bye.

Oh yea I blame canales for Bryce throwing the ball away on 4th and 1 in the red zone. Bryce sucks https://x.com/avl_mike/status/1965063133116215309?s=46&t=04sKNnhiiGcTDblLYKGiJQ

A 12 year old playing madden can draft better than anyone the panthers have had under David Tepper
-
Throw in the fact that you have to overpay free agents to come here. Everyone wants to win--or at least have a decent chance at winning. This followed the Bryce Young trade up draft. That is the draft that crippled an already crippled franchise. They moved up to #1 and paid the king's ransom only to admit that they weren't sure who they were going to draft--then they picked the wrong guy....amazing incompetence. Now let's take a look at the AT trade--we basically got some future mid round draft capital. Minnesota has a QB on their roster who reads quickly, is accurate, and is only 24. (Brosmer). Minnesota is keeping him on the roster because on the PS, they would lose him. Is he the answer if we traded AT for him? Maybe not, but there is potential--as much potential as you will find on day 3 of the draft. He would be, at worst, the best backup QB on the roster. Now, did we give Dalton a ton because he has a good relationship with Young? What if Young does not work out? Then you have 2 mistakes and no QB. I dunno--I believe in competition, and I believe there should always be efforts to improve the roster--are we trying to make ourselves not look inept? With Baker and Darnold leaving Charlotte for successful turnarounds, are we capable of having a good QB? Cam was natural ability and he had the Alpha gene, and we drove him into the ground.
-
When he looks like trash this week against the Cardinals what's going to be the excuse?
-
Facts!!! God damn I wish Cam had this many excuses made for him, he’d be in the hall of fame
