  1. Past hour
  2. Both Brees and Wilson in their prime had significantly more strength than Bryce Young has. They also hit the weight room. In three years Bryce has made no attempt.
  3. I’d say bring him in on a prove it deal and let him compete for the job with BY and a vet He played well in preseason for the chargers
  4. I just meant allow legitimate competition in camp. If there's going to be no legitimate competition, don't even bother wasting his time or anyone else's.
  5. Wilson was good with an elite roster around him but none of those guys were anywhere close to Brees.
  6. If Brees is truly 6' and you flatten Bryce's hair down, I'd say Bryce is 5'9" at tallest. All conjecture because who knows the real height of these guys, but to me he's a solid 3" shorter than Brees.
  7. Its difficult. The best and about only way is Mac Jones himself tells the 49ers he wants a opportunity to start. (But then they could change lanes and dump purdy.....) Back to Jones, the 49ers would not be out of line in asking for money and/or picks to take BY off the Panthers hands. The last thing you want is a player on your team that doesn't want to be there, old Antonio Brown wrote the novel on how to get off a team..... Jones would have to tell the 9ers he wants out and here's a list of teams that he wants to join.... then the Panthers would need to be on the list as well...... the 9ers could laugh at the request and say we will choose when and if you will be traded. They also want to protect themselves so no Rams, Seahawks etc. I mean we all just want about dang near anyone besides BY, even street FAs would be welcomed to some. I was never a fan of Jones and thought it was Bills hail Mary to fix the pats.. I got about 100 other option before Jones is even a thought.
  8. I am fine bringing in Trey Lance. I am not fine bringing in Trey Lance with the expectation that he starts. Bring him in as a backup or bring him in to compete. Those scenarios are fine.
  9. He looks like he should be on Disney Channel...
  10. Trey Lance or Jack Plummer? Seriously. Is this even a question? If he has a legitimate chance at the starting job, bring him in and let him throw. If it's Bryce's with no one else having even a chance baring another "high ankle sprain", let him go somewhere else.
  11. Murray, Russell Wilson, Flutie, etc. All smaller than Brees. Being small isn't the issue. Not having elite physical skills and also not having elite....well....anything, is the problem.
  12. Maybe put teppers bald mug there...
  13. What logic exists that could explain trading a guy that is performing very well in your offense for a guy that has been atrocious in the NFL for....twice the price? Are you sending them draft picks too?? This is maybe the most illogical trade idea I have seen here this season, and that's saying a lot.
  14. fitz came up with this idea in another thread. I think its in the many options, my worry is SF will want picks or at least pay enough of BYs contract to match Jones pay stub. I simply cannot think of any NFL coach that studies BY and thinks " I need that guy on my team "... Or the classic " I can fix him ". I mean.... not to dog pile on poor little BY... the Panthers spent 200+ million on the best OL that's not juiced maxed. Young, capable, and talent at TE, RB, and WR. Its still not enough......maybe all-pros at 10 spots could "unlock" BY.....
  15. Gonna get raped Sunday... some retribution coming.
  16. Seems he shot his load....another Delhomme?...nah...next.
  17. Could see this coming a mile away with the way he and the team presented himself in the Blueprint series the last two years. Anybody can be all positivity and friends with the players. It's when the chips are down that you find out the kind of head coach you've got. He's soft. That's why we've been blown out under him so many times.
  18. 28 on the CBS qb power ranking this week, still might be a little generous. 28 Bryce YoungCAROLINA PANTHERS QB No one should ever doubt his determination to translate college-level composure to the NFL stage, but we're two and a half years in, and Young still looks overmatched when it comes to throwing the rock. (-5)
  19. He is a bottom quarter LB, at best. It just is what it is. He can still be a solid depth guy eventually, but we need to replace him with a viable starting LB soon.
  20. I believe he requested a trade once they put him at QB3 behind Purdy and Darnold. Doesn't look great but everyone knew he needed time as a prospect.
  21. Was it early 1945 Berlin? That's an injury report that reads like the 3rd Army's!!!
  22. Tom Brady took Bledsoe's job. Doesn't mean Bledsoe was bad. The team was just winning with Brady who was a 6th rounder vs Bledsoe being a 1st.
  23. Unlikely. He is a buddy coach. McDaniel is too but he also happens to be a top tier offensive mind. Canales is significantly closer to the bottom than the top. Not a great combo.
  24. If they couldn't turn him into even a 3rd string stalwart in San Francisco over multiple years, but could turn a broken Mac Jones into a good looking QB in one off season... then there might not be anything there. And if Canales could have rehabbed him, he was there for the taking this summer...
  25. He will lose them if he doesn't crsck down hard on the player/players they were all talking about
