  2. I think Kiper has talked about Simpson to the Steelers (around 21). However, I think everyone is saying this based on the dearth of QB talent and that Simpson, who is throwing, knocks off some socks. I could see him going to a Pittsburgh or LAR in the first round--- I could see teams grabbing him a round before he should go--we are talking about QBs. Is he better than Kenny Pickett? I think he went around 20.
  3. In a perfect world he’d play out his contract and if he looks great you can tag or extend him. But I wouldn’t offer more than a third. And I wouldn’t extend up front
  4. I am not endorsing or rejecting.. just commenting. NYG GM Schoen and Morgan are like, vacation buds. Did the Burns trade already. If we had interest it should be do-able. One year rental? Could be cheap. But it would need to be. Maybe a player could go back to them. More than that? Like trade for and extend him? I don’t know enough about him to really say about that. What LG just said sheds some light. In a general sense, we have done well with our late rounders but the reason for that may apply less going forward. Tillis referenced this as well in his combine interview the other day. When you have holes everywhere it is easy to fill them with a draft pick, but once you have gotten things to a certain level that changes. At that point maybe a late round pick doesn’t upgrade your team like it did n previous seasons. Hence the low picks become less impactful for us, there is less utility. Which could play into them being more willing to use them in a trade.
  5. After the combine, he will be mocking around 10
  6. Thibodeaux had one good season and has missed 12 games over the past two seasons while only getting 8 sqcks over those two seasons bottoming out with 2.5 this past season. Why is anyone chomping at the bit to trade for that guy and give him $15M this year?
  7. He could be a really good fit in our system. Depending on the cost, I would be very interested
  8. Today
  9. Is there a move we can make in the off season to take us to contention next year? What FA or trade can we logically make.
  10. Yeah, not sure I see that either. McVay's offense I a lot. If you have a guy already struggling with the mental aspects of playing QB in the NFL not sure I see that as a good fit. Honestly, the Eagles should consider him as a backup. It's hard to find a QB that can emulate how they use Hurts and Richardson might be a good fit for that. As is, if Hurts go down they'd basically have to run their offense completely differently. That's not ideal.
  11. I don’t have those concerns here. But first, I never understood a lot about why the TO and the challenges were so hard. Wouldn’t you have a guy looking at the challenge option on a video, wired into the coach’s earpiece? All he has to do is say, hold up we can challenge that and win. Same for clock management. Have an assistent dedicated to to keeping the HC straight in that. But what do I know. In the real world it is happening this way. To your concerns, I would say I don’t feel too threatened that Idzik gets stolen for a head coach job any time soon. He would need to cook for two to three years straight before he would get that kind of credibility. If for some reason he did get hired away, Bevell is here and is probably better at it than Idzik. I favor defensive guys because they generally have tougher teams, less finesse more ass kicking mentality. In my perception anyway.
  12. I think that is referring to having a different offensive coordinator and scheme. It's still the same scheme and game planning that Idzik was already involved in. This is just play calling duties.
  13. Not a fan of this, whether its the "right" move. The main reason people mention to hire an offensive coach is so you don't have your playcaller under constant turnover like what happens in many cases. If we were going to do this, we should just hire a higher caliber defensive coach, since I feel like you can get a much better defensive coach prospect as the demand is much lower.
  14. Okay this is good. We have to do something. Next, let’s get younger at the stater position. Maybe I should have said less young?
  15. That trade up was such a massive blunder. It was a 5 year self inflicted maiming.
  16. I obviously agree we should have been building through the draft at OL all along. Not in in swoop. Just each year addressing it. That would have been the prudent approach. But like everything with this franchise from the owner on down they have had the "get there itis". The bad trade they made to select Bryce Young meant throwing out any and all logical pathways. They cannot make this mistake anymore. From here on build methodically and allow QB to resolve itself organically. When the time comes if we need to draft one we will have a well rounded roster with which to develop him in.
  17. I like how Dan tossed in Messidor at the end before it cut off.
  18. Saw where some are predicting three WRs in the top 12 picks. That would bode well for us. I could see us picking a slot guy in the mid to late rounds but I doubt we're looking at receivers until day three.
  19. I could see the Jets snagging him with their second FRP. Take Reese/Downs/Mauioga at 2 and then come back for Simpson at 16. Doesn't help us gain any future picks, but will push someone talented to us at 19.
