Plenty of teams are QB desperate so someone will probably roll massive dice on Willis and give him a legit franchise QB contract but that's insane. He hasn't done anything that warrants anything more than signing a short term prove it deal and being offered a fair chance to compete for a starting job in camp. Signing up for any commitment level beyond that would be crazy.

I don't know that he is a pro bowler but I think he has earned the right to compete for a starting job. I think if he were in this draft he's the number 2 QB behind Mendoza. And his tools are better than Mendoza in terms of arm mobility. That said Mendoza is far more advanced as a passer. I think if I'm one of those QB needy teams that needs a starter this season like are we saying he isn't better than Sanders? I think we are asking is he better than Kyler? I know he's better than Fields. And at this stage in his career he's better than Rodgers. So the idea that he won't start somewhere to me next year I can't see it

Maybe that's because we don't have a good tight end? I don't think anyone we have at tight end warrants the kind of attention Sadiq would. Like talent wise he's on a different planet than probably all our tightens combined

Remember when Isiah Simmons was a can't miss Butkus award winning LB prospect picked in the top 10? Ridiculous (in a good way) combine. Ended up being the least productive LB in the first round of that draft class.

Doesn't matter how many SOG if they're all coming from outside the dots with no net front. The Canes have a couple smallish centers that were easily pushed out of the way and Daccord saw everything coming his way.

TE is a waste in this offense. DC has never shown that he values the position as a receiving threat.

When has ever having a Great tight end been short sighted? Atlanta didn't need Pitts especially since he didn't look the best in his first 3 years.. yet and still franchise tagged despite having a great offense without Pitts. And let's not act like that's all he is he's more a hybrid than a tight end.. flex out wr kind of guy with 4.3 speed arguably the fastest time ever by a tight end. Add that with a 43 inch vertical and he's not only a take the top off he's a mismatch vs linebackers and a red zone threat. Like what are we talking about "just a tight end"

Not the next highest paid QB type money. Heck no! His inconsistent play is his biggest issue. His ability isn't as inconsistent as his mindset. Some games he's just out there dinking and dunking and completely ignoring anything over 20 yards. The statement I was responding to was he hasn't flashed in 50 games. That's just not true. When you throw for 450 yards in a game, but average under 200 yards, then that's absolutely a flash. He's shown that he can be productive. He just plays uber conservative some times. Game to game. Quarter to quarter. It's mind numbing some times.

Whoa! I'm not defending BY as a franchise QB. Just saying he has flashed. I mean you can't flash any more than that. That and the 2024 Atlanta game with 5 total TDs. Agree that consistency is his biggest problem. Some games he just flat out refuses to throw the ball deep. It's so frustrating to me.

I think that's short sighted. We don't know what's gonna happen on March 9th. I imagine they attack edge first and foremost and OL heavily in free agency. Hopefully loyd at middle linebacker. I don't think CB is as big a need as CB. You have Horn, Jackson as locks. I think between wade and the kid who took his job but was injured your okay there. Not really a Need. That leaves us where in a down tight Market, Pitts back to Atlanta maybe Cade Otton? Yeah I lean Kenyon. Yeah we could go tackle but I don't think that pushes us further this season into the playoffs at best we are still functional. With ickey returning I don't like going and drafting a half season starter or stop gap until one player returns or retires. Give me long term value. If you want like a backup guy get a tackle round 3 or later.

They’ve been buying the defense and drafting the offense since 2022. Horn was the last major defensive addition through the draft.

I think pass catcher he checks the box, and vertical threat he's faster than leggette whom we tried to make a take the top off the defense type player. I think it's two birds with one stone sort of. More than that this offense needs juice. We have towering players on offense and north and south RB but none of them are elite at anything really. Adding an Elite speed guy, or Elite power guy I think would give us more ways to attack teams.

I like that TT LB, think we could get him in the 2nd and have a very good player. Leadership type guy too. Small but good numbers (stats and combine). Plus the stache is pretty sick.

We need another pass catcher threat. So certainly hed be a weapon we could use if hes as hood as advertised. Just dont see us burning a first for him which is what it'll take.
