Just because and to keep us organized

This draft is deep at receiver...we can afford to wait.

Last tackle we drafted there were different people in charge. May or may not make a difference.

Id rather sign a vet at TE

I'm just not sold on us being highly interested in Fano. We seem to prefer big mauler type OL and Fano is the opposite. -
There's our big money splash this offseason

Why trading up in 2026 is a bad idea.

Trading up on for anything, for me it would be the right LOT. But my hard and fast rule for 30 years has been never trade a future 1st. So not in favor. -

https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2026/story/_/id/48053564/2026-nfl-mock-draft-two-rounds-64-picks-jordan-reid-combine Jordan Reid is pretty locked in and an expert that I trust more than others. Pretty sensible and logical with his thoughts, and the rumors he hears quite often, are not click bait. I was intrigued by the buzz about the Panthers at the combine. Chubb? Thibodeaux? Hendrickson? If Fano falls, run the card up. I don't care about arm length with the production and versatility as a LT or RT (see: Slater, Rashawn). He then comes back with a rush LB though, which is odd given the first statement about preferring to address in FA/trade.... Only guy I'd look at based on the way the board fell here, is Wheatley. TBF, Thomas is probably more of a BPA over Wheatley. Hill, Jr. goes 46 and Rodriguez went 49th. This reminds me too much of the '23 draft when we thought our guy would be there and we settled for DJ. -
Would kenyon sadiq fill 2 needs?

At least Davis had an excuse being stuck on a crappy Maryland team that played a generic pro style offense (and still got 300 more yards than Sadiq in 3 less games). Oregon had a Heisman caliber QB throwing him the ball + an Oregon scheme that is very offense friendly. But agree that Davis had similar concerns going into the draft with his route running ability. That being said, Davis was a far more established blocker going into the draft than Sadiq. -

If we in a situation where we have to BPA or really reach for a guy we like… it is a tough call. I’ll be honest, a big part of my resistance is I have just had enough of investing the high draft picks in weapons for Bryce. To me, we have the OROY at WR, we have Coker who gave us all we need out of WR 2 in the WC game. Get someone to compliment that - outside the first round and same for 2nd unless it is just a no brainer. A speed guy for number 3 WR, and if there still is such a thing I think a back that can catch, and do short yardage would match up very nicely to what we need and how the QB plays. I keep thinking of Mike Tolbert when we first got him. - Today

I think Jones becomes a cat casualty but by all means I love goldday I have him and Rodriguez's second round targets in my eyes first round I'm swinging for the fences on talent -

By trade down I meant move up in the draft to 10 or so. Trading back to the 20's would be fine by me. -

I won’t lie. I don’t want us to trade any future picks, because I feel we’ll have to go QB in 27. Need to stay put. We have too many needs -

Take the 19, make a smart pick for a foundational player. 38 and beyond, see what it's worth to people. -
Not trying to derail the topic, but my LB crush Golday from Cincinnati is a 6'4" 245 lb WLB who has experience as an edge player. Imagine what you could do with that..... We have Jones II and Scourton to start and hold the edge--imagine a LB who can step up and play the 9tech while Scourton and or Jones slide down. Princely should improve. We could kill 2 birds here--at least on paper.

I agree 100% with most of what you said I can't justify treading up in 2026 with 2027 being a generational draft class that said there are some guys that I would love to have on the team I just can't justify the price of trading up but if you want to trade compensation in this draft to move up then sure why not because I think there's a sweet spot towards the late first through third round where the guys that are great are right in there after that it's a dead zone so by all means have at it -

We'll see. There's some guys who are intriguing. Drew Allar would probably be the top of my list. Talen Green has Anthony Richardson type physical talent and that's always intriguing if you can get it in the mid-rounds. The Baylor guy and the NDSU guy are two others. It's just really hard to predict exactly where these types of prospects are going to land on the draft and they're probably scattered wildly on draft boards across the league. All it takes is one for a guy to go a lot earlier than expected. -

Thats the problem (or positive how one could view) is that after say the top 8ish all of the next tier of talent is basically the same. You could get the same level at 13 as you could top of the 2nd. Yes there are a lot of those dudes in that tier but they are all bunched together. Thats why I am screaming trade back. Same value more picks with hopefully another 1 for 27. -

I asked chat GPT about the injury if you scroll back a few posts and posted the results but it said that PCL long-term is better there should be no lingering effects so it shouldn't have a long-term effect on his career so I don't think you should look at it as he won't be the same player it's much more preferred over having an ACL injury which does change your long-term trajectory so I think if he's only going to miss maybe half the season or less you're better off getting a veteran or drafting a guy later to feel that stopgap until he returns to full form Also believe it or not the recovery time for PCL is shorter than an ACL tear so give me that nine times out of 10. Looking at the time frame I think he starts to season on the PUP list but after that he should be a go
