I’m not sure Dave is on the hot seat. I think Bryce has the shorter leash. Dave nor Morgan drafted Bryce. Think they will get a shot to draft their own QB and let the chips fall where they may from there. I still think Canales has a chance to be a successful coach here, but there are going to be a lot of bumps and growing pains along the way. Evero and Bryce will be shown the door before Canales.

Well yes that. But I meant even before that. In 2015 and 2016 when they allowed the refs to actively push for Manning and the Broncos in the Super Bowl and our QB to be headhunted. And that was all despite the fact that our extremely gullible previous owner at the time went out of his way at every turn to be subservient to the league office even to the detriment of our franchise. No way in hell I'll just turn the page and start rooting for another team like it never happened. Just my .2 cents.

He won't be starting much longer. He lived a charmed existence with a coach that made things very easy for him while so having the best offensive weapons in the NFL. He even managed to fug that up in the end. He is a backup QB.

What really gets me, the one thing that I’ve been waiting to see, but haven’t… dude has no heart. He’s the slowest supposed to be fast guy I’ve ever seen in my life. He doesn’t run away from anyone. He’s a slower Ted Ginn, with worse hands, and no heart… ok, so he’s nothing like Ted. I really liked Ted. You never questioned Ted’s effort. I don’t think I like XL much anymore.

If his job is on the line, I think you can only really give a performance like today 3-4 weeks max in year 3 for a 1.01.

I'm honestly okay with us finding this out week 1. I'm excited to see who our new QB will be, hopefully we finally strike gold. It would have sucked if Bryce played decent enough to get a large contract and tie us to him longer.

The only plus from here is over the course of the rest of the season Canales is either going to reveal himself to be the guy we hired him to be or he is going to flounder like Bryce has.

I am not even certain Hunt/Lewis are core players because they came on massive contracts. Likely the last contracts they will get here, TBH. I love TMac but let's not call that shot quite yet. Especially at that position. I also question the entire scouting department. Makes me wonder if we even have people in the building capable of making good hires there.

We're more than halfway through this decade and it's been a complete waste. Test ran Teddy two-gloves, went XFL-alum, burned through (and failed) 2 competent starters that are still going hard (Darnold, Mayfield), drafted Corral (lol), traded up for Bryce (this counts for like 3 tries), have had the ginger fluttering about. 0-7 since Cam. Thank you, please try again Panthers.

Because that doesnt have any impact on the fact that he was widely expected to succeed in the NFL and he shouldnt even be a back-up. Someone was going to take him in the top 5 it just happens that we made some dumb choices to do it. Maybe MAYBE he has value as a Taysom Hill type gimmick but he is a bust in his own right without regard to what the team did to get him.

He was pretty quick to bench Young last time. Problem is he doesn’t have anyone to replace him with, we saw Andy slowed down a lot in just a few games. If he benches Bryce again he’s probably done, we’ll probably see Hooker before we see Bryce again if that happens. Dave has this whole nice guy thing but I get the feeling that he hates looking incompetent especially after publicly supporting him all offseason. We probably wouldn’t have seen him last year if Andy didn’t get hurt.

The Panthers are dead. No one worth a sh*t would willingly work for this franchise. It’s all rejects and nobodies. I will never forgive David Tepper’s arrogant ass for ruining this franchise. He can give out as many charity dinners and coat drives as he wants but the fact remains he killed a fun team to be a fan of.

Yeah, watching this game is a reminder that we watched two bad teams play today. There's just levels to "bad" and we're way worse than the Jags who are still relatively bad.
