  1. Past hour
  2. Now they making a big deal about him punching at Hugo at the end of the game...just lol
  3. I feel sure guys had gnarled fingers off of his throws. Fastball. Whether it was 8 yards, or 50. And Cam could throw a real fastball.
  4. It would be awesome if we could edit our posts so I can update the list...
  5. Seems obvious to me that we should get that kind of a guy, we don’t really have one. And the best WR in our 30 year history was a guy like that. The best tandem we had was that guy and a big long strider in Moose.
  6. Cam had trouble with touch, especially on the shorter throws. I remember watching him, especially on screens, thinking damn that had to hurt when it hit receivers in the fingers.
  7. A speed receiver that can return kicks and a safety that can play nickel. We are looking to fill holes with guys that have multiple skill sets. Smart, if you can find/get them.
  8. We've needed a true returner for a long time. We seem content to throw whoever back there. Returning kicks is a craft that is heavily undervalued here even though it can greatly impact a game. Devin Hester was feared for a reason. It's a lot easier to drive 40 yards than 75.
  9. I’m not mad about 7.5, but TB at 8.5 and the other two teams tied with us is ludicrous. We should be at least a game higher than the rest of those scrubs. We won the division, we got better, TB and Atl got worse, NO is NO.
  10. I'm not saying he doesn't, just that he's gotten a lot of flack on this board for not devoting himself to his craft and focusing on his social media presence. It was more just an observation of how he gets ripped on, and Bryce, who's openly said he isn't going to address footwork problems, gets crickets. Greatness is never satisfied. I'd like to see some Luke level of devotion again.
  11. I would hope so. It has been years of the cookie cutter physique - obsession with long stride long armed taller guys.
  12. Today
  13. Yeah believe they are interested in TE Oscar Delp (UGA) or TE Justin Joly (NC)
  14. The 50/50 aspect seemed obvious. But that is not at all how they were using him. I didn’t understand that. Maybe, just maybe, Bevell will see something they can do with him that these other geniuses have missed. I think it does go back to the QB though, and question whether he was willing to go the 50/50 route.
  15. I don’t think Cam threw the easiest ball to catch, I mean he was a finger breaker. Heat. All the time. A lot of Ginn’s mishandled balls were way downfield though where that should be less of an issue.
  16. Cam made a good point about XL posting his offseason workout videos last year and was making fun of the jerky movements in running routes and grunting. He said something to the effect of that's all fine and good, but can I depend on you? Will you be where I need you to be? Will you get off of coverage, will you catch the passes that come your way, will you fight to get open? He has been doing the wrong kind of prep. His lack of production comes from the mental side. He needs to study, differentiate his routes, communicate with Bryce on route options/preferences, get reps with his QB, and stop making mental errors on the field. The guy is a tremendous athlete, but if he wants to be a better receiver, he needs to maximize the mental side. I heard he was working out with Bryce this offseason. That's a good start. If I remember correctly, he didn't do that last year.
  17. Boston would mean we would have three very similar receivers: Tet, Coker, and Boston. More likely we take a shifty slot guy.
  18. Pat Kirwan made an interesting point when discussing TE vs. slot for Panthers needs in the draft. He basically said the Panthers suck at punt and kickoff return as well as the TE position and slot wr's can often fill the role of punt and kick off returner, especially if we get a good one. I guess that depends on how we think of Trevor Etienne in those roles. Also talked about the depth of wr vs. lack of depth of te in the draft. I think te falls off pretty far after Delp or the Vandy kid.
  19. Flagrant one and a fine and let's move on. The NBA doesn't want to impact the integrity of the next game by suspending a star player.
  20. I can only answer the question based on my experience---yes, there are drills that improve your concentration and hand placement, but by the time you are 30...., but more than that, the timing of the QB and the kind of ball he throws made the biggest difference for me. I liked the rocket launchers better than the grenade tossers--but to each his own. I wonder if Brees threw a ball that was easier for him to catch? It is an interesting question.
  21. But XL does work at his craft by all accounts. It just hasn't translated to game days.
  22. I feel like the value in this class is on defense, especially after the 1st round.
  23. I don’t see the similarities outside of their frame tbh. Mingo was supposed to be a slot YAC guy who was great at route running, XL a jump ball bully whose big weakness was routes, and McMillian a dynamic receiver who lacked physicality.
