Legette still focusing on drops per David Newton
Gapanthersfan replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dude would come down with some fantastic snags, even in crunch time so the ability is there. I hope he is plugged in with a sports psychologist. He could be a PROBLEM if/when he develops more confidence. -
Legette still focusing on drops per David Newton

Very glad to see he is aware and working on it. Now we just need to see the results this season. Hopefully, like he said, with TMac getting the bulk of the targets/attention, it opens up opportunities for him. -
"Talking about his rookie drops makes his trademark smile disappear. "'Those were the main ones, the bad ones,' Legette said in an interview with ESPN. 'It affected me in a way; how it made me feel. Just how we lost those games. It could have changed [the outcome].' Legette admitted the drops got into his head. "'It's always gonna be the next-play mentally,' he said. 'But it always will be in the back of my head, trying to focus on catching.''' https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46015325/nfl-carolina-panthers-xavier-legette-tetairoa-mcmillan If I were to give X advice, it would be to continue to work on the mechanics. Make sure you look the ball into your hands and secure it. Everything else will take care of itself. I don't know that thinking about catching balls is the way to go. That could end up as pressing, kind of like the yips for a kicker. Be steadfast about the mechanics and just catch. It becomes just a natural occurrence or consequence of consistently working on the mechanics.

No, my original comment was based on that obviously being a bad takeby him, if he said it.
-
Gotcha - thought the insinuation was that it was just a message board rumor…just saying that there were actual reports that this was a thing

It's possible that is true, as I said, if it was that doesn't say much for his ability to evaluate QB's. However, if you recall, the Commanders/Johnson situation turned into quite the nasty he said/she said fiasco.

Locker room for the win. -
Peters did, they just be talking, also Ben Johnson back out of the interview with the Commanders while they were on the way to the fuging interview. it was never just about the Panthers he is just a dick
-
LOLOLOLOL For the record, Arch has since come out and said that he hasn't at all decided on what he'll do in regards to the 2026 draft and that his grandfather Arch has called to apologize for miscommunication to the press regarding the matter.
-
I don’t either, but I’m kinda locked in, you know.
-
That or Daniel Jones will remind everyone he is Daniel Jones the quarterback and at some point, you'll turn to anyone that's not Daniel Jones. More speculative based on what happened up to this point, but I feel AR may still be struggling on how to be the type of guy that the locker room wants to follow. Otherwise, it's simply that his accuracy remains poor and it's not looking like a Josh Allen situation where he was the rare exception of fixing that aspect in the pro level.

Post- Training Camp 53-Man Roster Projection

They very well may do that, especially since James Mitchell has looked so good in camp. -
Post- Training Camp 53-Man Roster Projection

He was TE3 the last couple of seasons in Detroit in a good TE room. I dont think there's any chance they cut Tremble. I guess it comes down to how many 2 TE sets Canales wants to run and if they think they need 4. I think Mitchell has flashed more than anyone else besides JT Sanders during TC. -
WR room is going to be interesting because no matter what, the team is keeping 6. There's just too much talent not to. Who that is will of course depend on finances, fit, and more. X: Tetairoa McMillan, David Moore, Brycen Tremayne, Ja'Seem Reed Z: Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker, TJ Luther, Kobe Hudson Slot: Adam Thielen, Hunter Renfrow, Jimmy Horn Jr, Jacolby George TMac/XL/AT/Coker/Renfrow feel like locks... Considering that, getting a guy to back up TMac that can play ST is super important. David Moore has been that guy, but Brycen Tremayne might be pushing him... Trevor Etienne looking good on returns might have been the worst thing to happen to JHJ's chances to make the roster... Personally, I'd flip the coin between Moore/Tremayne and try to stash the other on PS.

Post- Training Camp 53-Man Roster Projection

I don't think they will want to expose him to waivers, and I think he will make the 53. But, to start the season with everyone healthy, I think he will be inactive Week 1 (one of the 7). I think it will take a trade or injury for him to see much playing time this year. -

I do miss that section -
Wilson was traded from the Jets for a 6th round pick and the Broncos got him and a 7th in return I think. Or vice versa. I wouldn't expect it to be anything more than that, if even that much for trade terms.
-
In fairness to us, Darnold had better players around him than he did here.
-
Assuming he doesn't push for a trade. Though again, I doubt he has any real leverage.
-
Also this... To be clear, Avery stated that he is not talking about race, but have no further clarification that I saw
-
He will have his redemption shot at some point this year, so long as he is not too tired. Jones has far too much of an injury history to not miss time.
