Panthers re-sign one of their UFA

A big win in Pitt? Pitt is 9-17 (2-11 in the ACC). They're fuging terrible. It's just that truly fuging terrible teams are the only teams we can even compete with right now without Wilson and Veesaar. Is the rest of the roster really THAT bad? No, they're not. He didn't let Tyler Nickel and Cade Tyson off the bench and they're scoring 15ppg and 20ppg elsewhere this year. Isaiah Denis who is currently glued to the bench will probably do the same next year. Cadeau who we ran out of town is the starting PG for the #1 team in the country. The issue has never been the talent. The issue has been coaching.

This Tarheel him is so garbage.. everytime we play in Miami they play like ass!! They get a big win against Pitt.. then go to State and like ass!! I get Caleb is hurt.. but is the rest of the team this bad!?? Damn I sick of Hubert!!
-
Like with Young we over reached ...thats the issue.is he athletic enough to be a ST performer while on the back burner for wr? Can he be redeemed by slow rolling?
-
I saw today where the tag for a C was something like 28 mil. Because the rules lump all OL positions together for the tag number calculations. So Baltimore will likely not be tagging Linderbaum, I mean… would you? Doesn’t mean they can’t get him back. I wouldn’t mind paying if they could make the numbers work. Because now we are gonna be weaker at LOT to start with, but beyond that we kind of half measured the interior with not upgrading C. Get stout all across the inside.

"Lost cause" is a little extreme.
-
He would've been if not for that fluke run to the title game his first year. Ever since we've basically just won a big game or two and/or landed a big recruit for the next year that keeps buying him another year of grace. Minus a Sweet 16 run, I'm ready to rip off the bandaid.

If he plays the full season that puts him at 294 starts. Would love to see him play another year to go over 300. Interestingly. Jon Kasay: 1995-2010 JJ Jansen: 2009-Present Somebody really needs to get them on a podcast together. That’s literally the Panthers entire history -
Hubert should have been gone already. Im not even a Tarheels fan.
-
JJ and Dalton, and a couple of others put a hit on that average age number. Overall the team feels young to me.

Should Dave Canalas be on the HOT seat??

I think it is pretty clear they are not looking to supplant Young. There is no urgency to find a potential replacement, even as a backup. The kid from… Arkansas? Why the hell not? But it won’t be anyone that threatens for 2026. They are proceeding with their optimism intact still. They are gonna rationalize the 1-3 finish, and focus on the nice showing under the bright lights of the playoff game, and the stadium environment that day. They have a case for it, but it ignores a lot of negatives that we experienced this year. All of them that were QB related, really. -
He's the basketball version of John Bunting. He somehow wins a huge game every year that buys him another year of grace. But UNC has to wake up and realize that UNC basketball isn't UNC football... but Hubert is trying his best to accomplish that.
-
Yeah I don't think Hubert is the right coach for the job. Duke got the best coach K replacement with scheyer. We can't say the same
-
Hubert is lost without elite talent to lean on. This team has enough talent to compete with this team even without Wilson and Veesaar, but it doesn't have enough coaching to compete with this team without Wilson and Veesaar. That's just the sad truth.
-
Maybe the best thing XL has going for him here is he’s T-Mac’s best friend.
-
Yeah missing two best players and jacking up thirty 30s.. Recipe for disaster
-
Second game since the duke game that I'm imploring for Hubert to just play the walk instead. This is pathetic.
-
1-15 from three. An actual coach would tell them to stop jacking them up.
-
Any remaining games that both Wilson and Veesaar are going to miss, I'd advocate for just forfeiting.
-
I would to, but Center isn't a position I want to see us throwing a lot of money at. You can find solid centers in the draft and we need that money because of how weak we are at so many of our defensive positions.

I was using the metric system. Seriously, I thought he retired...

Better than I write, I think how/what/who decides on QB will be the top factor in his employment. I thought if its me......Im using draft cap, cap space, even trade to bring in more talent at the QB spot. I want to kept cashing teppers checks and the queen is nice place to live even for a WC "person"..... I got no read on if Dave is willing to allow BY to drive the ship, I would not want to be in his shoes about dealing with this. The draft is awful after the top pick, I mean my guy Cole Payton maybe the 2nd best and he's a near unknown. The FA pool is worse, Mac Jones just said he didn't want to be traded. I want NOTHING to do with TUA, Watson, or Murray unless the team pays for the whole salary. He needs to ask Seattle what they need for either lock or milroe.....Sam is tough and they both are "young" but have more skills than BY.... Id even call the bears about my guy Tyson. I can not believe trade is the best form to not loss your job or pray BY becomes a god....
