  1. Past hour
  2. This. Just win 8 games this year. Just 8. All they hype, all the branding, all the videos, at this point they all are pointless as we have been the worst franchise in recent memory. Just win.
  3. Which screams to me that something happened after the draft.
  4. Isn’t the dispute over the guarantees? And not the actual contract amount? I believe it’s about a clause that would lessen the guaranteed amount if he was to be suspended.
  5. Win some games. Then you can talk. But this just rings hollow when we've done nothing but lose since Tepper bought the team.
  6. Just need to establish a safe word first
  7. I think its just the money, I think they would have dont this no matter who they picked in the first. They really screwed this up.
  8. Other fanbases will feast on this one.
  9. Hopefully we become more than the skidmark of David Tepper's tenure so far.
  10. Yeah, they've really fuged this up. I still think something happened post-draft that made them regret taking him and now they're stuck between a rock and a hard place. You either give the guy the contract his draft status dictates or you trade him for whatever you can get. Those are really the only two choices you have.
  11. Today
  12. Honestly they should have just traded back. The best they could do in a trade is probably a 2nd now
  13. Bengals are a notoriously cheap franchise. When they were pursuing Tony Siragusa as a free agent, they provided him with a coach plane ticket. Players were responsible for their own soap and toiletry items. None would be provided by the team. They are content to underpay their best defensive player with what amounts to a short term prove it type deal. The offset language at issue in the contract has not been included in their previous contracts, so it certainly sounds like buyer remorse.
  14. Sure hope this comes true!!! https://www.yahoo.com/sports/article/panthers-qb-bryce-young-named-182028803.html
  15. Panthers country. Lets ride.
  16. and Never, and I mean NEVER, tweet on oxy!
  17. I think he was too much of a gamble for us at 8, or even them at 17. BUT, that doesn't matter. They took that gamble but don't want to ante up! Fug that! Nothing like pissing off you 1st round pick before he ever even suits up for practice, they're being idiots.
  18. Lol there's two 2nd round picks this year that got fully guarantees. Drafting a project that high then trying to downplay him is peak Bengals. And I'm a guy who liked Stewart more than most.
  19. That's what makes this so absurd, 1st round contract SHOULD be fully guaranteed! The Bengals are the bad guys here. If they didn't want to guarantee is contract, don't pick him in the 1st!!!
  20. For some reason I thought he fell. Sheesh I was way off.
  21. I agree with everything you said, but wanted to highlight this because Renfrow seems, so far, to have remained relevant. I had no idea what he would look like after his year away, but this is a huge bonus for $1.2M. I am so excited for preseason! Also, I think XL gets better simply by not being our primary WR. Getting that pressure off may help "cure" his dropsies. Not to mention a second year in a NFL system should be good for him and everyone else.
  22. Let’s be real, there’s no way the Bengals can trade him for less than first round value from an optics stand point.
  23. Disclaimer: In June, I am usually optimistic. In October, a policeman with a bullhorn is telling me that I have a lot of life ahead of me and to think about my loved ones as I gaze down upon him from my rooftop. Having said that, I think our offense (down the stretch) was good enough to play KC and Philly tough. So how many games would this offense have won if they played the entire season like they did in November-January and if they had a better defense? If you could stretch the last nine games over an entire season and put a solid defense on the other side, I see 5 wins becoming 7 or 8. Down the stretch, the Panther D surrendered 30 points or more in 5 of the final 7 games and managed to win 2 of those 5. If they can win 40% of games in which their defense surrenders 30 points or more, then the math indicates, had that been the case all season, the Panthers should have won 6 or 7 games with their defense surrendering 30+ points. This season, we are much better at WR (TMac, Renfrow, Horn, and I expect XL to be a lot better). Bryce is confident and now a leader. The Achilles' heel of the 2024 defense, the DL, seems to be very solid. We got back Horn and Jackson on the corners, Smith-Wade is improving better than expected, we signed a stud Safety. Derrick Brown returns. While the D is not there yet, it is going to be better. So if we ended the second half of 2024 playing at a level that should have produced 6-7 wins, better WRs and a better defense could result in 9 wins or more.
