  1. Past hour
  2. Yes but this is the Kyle Allen argument. The eye test for Allen was rough even during the "Baby GOAT" streak. To an extent Bryce is similar. The eye test isn't the best even in these wins. TO's, missed throws, missed reads, etc. However, he has definitely made some good to great throws too. They are just too few and far between
  3. You are making assumptions that people expect another Cam to come along. I don’t think people do. I don’t expect that. Just a guy that isn’t physically less than the NFL standard for even an almost franchise QB. I do see his team believing on him somewhat. I don’t know how much of that is in the moment we won emotion and how much is deep belief. I also have seen guys throwing helmets and making public displays of frustration. Barely over a year ago. There needs to be a consistent and legit expectation and it needs to be do-able against stacked boxes when they shut down the running game and dare him to beat them through the air. He is not there at this time. IMO.
  4. I think most realistic fans realize if Bryce shits the bed this season it's over for him. He needs the team to win games now or he will be at the very least not the unquestioned starter next season.
  5. I absolutely dunk all over Sam Darnold and will continue(unless he proves me wrong) to but Bryce has never at his best been as good as Darnold at his best. Bryce at his worst looks an awful lot like Darnold at his worst.
  6. People? more than one whack job? You are going to need receipts for me to believe you. I read this place daily and have since he was here and before and cannot recall ever seeing that Maybe someone made a sarcastic comment but I have not seen a single comment to back that up. Sarcastic or real - just nothing ANYBODY ELSE?
  7. Well, Mahomes has won 3 Super Bowls and only one of those was in his rookie contract. Plus he has been to two more outside of that contract. Possibly he is an outlier in the guys you mention.
  8. Most of these negative takes on Bryce not being very good or discounting his performance because he struggled early or contributed early mistakes ignore that he is incredible resilient and keeps fighting. That is incredibly important and something Cam for example struggled with for a good portion of his early career. If he played poorly at the beginning he rarely improved. When he learned to let it go and move forward, he improved significantly. Cam is also the reason I think people discount Bryce's skills. Cam was bigger than life and had physical attributes few quarterbacks can match. He challenged folks to stop him and had some great moves like his superman poses and dabbing on everyone. He was fun to watch and an icon. Bryce is almost the polar opposite of Cam. He has to use brains over brawn and use other players to get the job done. He doesn't take over the game and is kind of boring in interviews. But what he does have is confidence which makes others around him better. They are learning to trust and believe in him and play hard for him. He is a good leader who has shown this season that he can produce comebacks and win at the end. How many times in the last 10 games did he bring us back only for the defense to fail to hold the lead. Even last week after scoring late did he have to do even more after the defense gave up a late TD. If you loved Cam and want his clone you won't like Bryce ever. But Cam was unique and we might not see the likes of him again. But Bryce has the ability to win in this league and return us to competitiveness in his own way.
  9. How many comps even are there for him? Brees is not. Flutie? I struggle to get a 1 to 1.
  10. You’re kidding me. Dude. People in the game threads say he physically cannot complete a 20 yard pass, this is not hyperbole.
  11. I think the door is open, I also think if he ever gets with a Sean Payton type coach he will put up monster numbers. Right now they are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole with Canales offense, and the offense is still functioning. If you look at Jayden Daniels DC is running his college offense, they don’t ask him to be something he’s not. Same with Bo Nix in Denver they threw more screens and half field reads than anyone last year. Bryce does little things QBs his size never do. Someone posted a chart of QBs 6ft and under and Bryce laps them in throws over the middle of the field, he also takes way more snaps under center than all those QBs, he’s way more willing to stand in the pocket and take a hit than all those QBs.
  12. Eh maybe. I'm pretty positive just in general. I don't post a lot here because it's a hostile environment if you try to have any kind of measured take. So it's just not worth contributing here. When I do post, I usually never come back to check replies because I really don't want to hear some of the absolute braindead stuff people here say. Mostly hyperbole and exaggeration, but it doesn't add poo to say stuff like "Bryce can't throw more than 5 yards", which is a common statement made here. Why don't they be honest and say "Bryce can't throw 60 yards down the field." Anyway, it's pretty rare to get any kind of decent conversation here so I'll share my piece every once in a while and not come back to see the poo emojis. I bet there's plenty of people here who read and keep up on things but don't post. Why post when the community is just going to run you off?
  13. I never wanted him. Have said why plenty. Mistake. Major mistake. But I am not completely unreasonable and went with the door is closed barring a major turnaround. I mean without a doubt turnaround. And not the Bryce fans bar for without a doubt, (they are there now) but my criteria. That means no opening quarter meltdowns no ridiculously bad ball security. In control and Getting those plays off and succeeding. His worst game still needs to have a redeeming series or two and some plays are still made. A sub par game still is competitive and doesn’t sink the team. We might still win (his normal/good game now). And those need to be rare. His normal game needs to actually show some real deal NFL ability. It needs to be good. And his great games need to rock.
  14. I picked 3rd but I think it's still open until the end of the season. I was kind of between 2 and 3 as well.
  15. I'm in the, "Whatever decision the team makes, it will end up being the wrong one" camp.
  16. That Atlanta game really skewed the stats. Amazing as it was, the stats right now don't tell the tale of the tape yet. Heck, not sure anything does. We've either hit a lucky streak for a few weeks here or we've turned the corner (and for once it looks like the right one). This is a weird season for the whole NFL. I mean, the Ravens are 1-5? The Chiefs came out of the starting blocks and fell over their own feet? The Eagles are melting down in front of our eyes? Luckily, the Jets are still Jetting. Let's hope they get their act together about three weeks from now.
  17. Danny Jones vs. Bryce Young is the SB no one knew they needed.
  18. Option 2. Winning keeps the door open. Simple as that, just like with any QB. I don't care what the stats line is. I care about wins and losses. Gunslinger, Point Guard, Game Manager, Athletic Freak, Pocket Passer, Aging Vet... whatever. Get the win, keep the starting QB job. Do it consistently and stay competitive in the playoffs and you are, by definition a franchise QB. And those guys don't develop overnight. It's all about the wins and getting to the playoffs. Rings... well, those are rarer than people think.
  19. I chose door number 3. I have to say, based on what i have viewed on videos from the team; they seem firmly behind him and I do not get the sense that they are ready to move on. For me as a fan, I want to see a large framed, big armed guy with some wheels who can tuck it and go to really stress that defense out. I enjoy that style of football, mistakes and all. Having said all that; Bryce young is my QB and as long as he is; i am going to root for him.
  20. I will say, regardless of the fan typologies, having all the fandom, swimming in the misery for this long will make the next SB level squad feel more special than any prior. The mud in the NFL dungeon has hardened like a shell on this franchise. Maybe we'll see a break out and give everyone a different playing field to babble in.
  21. He’s done ok these past few weeks. I will give him that. Now, to answer the question; I’m out on him being the guy. If he turns it around, great. I’ll go with option 3. I’d still plan on moving on without him this offseason
  22. Being a football wasteland of an organization affects everyone differently.
