  1. Past hour
  2. I'm fuming about this play still. QBs should not be rewarded for these decisions. And I can't believe people think it is reasonable to expect a defender, in an important moment of the game, to react in less than a second to what a QB, who has established himself as a running QB in this league, may do. https://x.com/fsh733/status/2000362698471768161?s=20 He went for the tackle at the same time Shough began to slide. We're not talking about a guy scrambling out of the pocket. HE WAS THE DESIGNATED RUNNER! And it wasn't even a big hit. Just one of the most BS ways to decide a game that I have ever seen.
  3. If we are planning on moving on, especially as a trade, it is literally only going to be this offseason. With that 5th year picked up, he will have zero interest or next to zero interest in the 2026 or 2027 trade market.
  4. I don't know if you are or were 90s wrestling fan or Scott Hall fan, if so enjoy the laugh- Mike Tyson was also 300 LBs and had a super bad coke problem...
  5. Yeah, it's crazy the level of wanton ignorance there seems to be about all this. As you said, I'd be amped up to have gotten a backup QB this solid in Day 3 of the draft. But #1 overall???? This just isn't something we are going to be able to bet the future on. And especially when the instances of him showing any shred of elite play are so incredibly fleeting. It's like banking the entire future of the franchise on a couple of laser passes by PJ Walker.
  6. Time to start that QB contract clock over, and continue building this team up; in particular, the defense. If you could get rid of Bryce this offseason, I’d do it
  7. As much as I hate to say it, Bryce to KC this offseason could make sense. Reid could be one of the only minds to be able to do something there. Bryce plays on his final year while Mahomes recovers. Not the ending we hoped for but one I'd take.
  8. I'm just kinda baffled by it. He was a #1 overall pick that we traded a king's ransom for because we were betting on him being a game changer and yet there's a decent chunk of the fanbase that wants to treat him like a mid-round pick drafted to be a likely backup. If we'd drafted Bryce in say the 4th round and he was a backup forced into action I'd be singing his praises. We would be getting pretty decent play based on the level of expectations. I'd be saying you can't move forward with this guy as a starter because of his low ceiling but as a mid-round backup QB I can't really be mad at how he's playing. This is what you expect out of a mid-round backup QB. But when you're getting mid-round backup QB play out of a third year #1 overall pick you've mortgaged the franchise for and have tried to tailor your offensive roster and play calling to support, you really need to be shifting the perspective to realizing that you it's time to move on.
  9. If ya'll think that is a kill shot, then holy crap lol
  10. Why not just have RBs slide on every single RB Dive? QBs should not be allowed to slide as a designated runner on a play designed to go right up the middle and then expect the defender to stop what he is doing in a millisecond. It is absolutely BS.
  11. He could have felt it maybe sure, but it is the qb blind side for a reason. He read the blocking scheme and knew it was 1 on 1. Sometimes the defense wins too, you are going to blame bryce no matter what happens so Im not sure why im wasting my time telling you how youre wrong.
  12. Insane that people are actually defending this lol
  13. Yes. We have to win 2 and the Bucs have to lose 2, doesn't matter which way it happens. That's why losing yesterday was such a colossal let down.
  14. I think we need to build around these two and hope Miller can stay healthy. Flip Melo and Miles for a great player or some picks to keep building this roster.
  15. Honestly, I think Canales has almost regressed as a playcaller, if anything.
  16. When you blitz and leave the middle of the field completly wide open every time, it will fail every time. Don't know why he continued to call that blitz when it continously never worked.
  17. If the bucs win the next 2 and we somehow beat the Seahawks are we still eliminated?
  18. Yeah, can you imagine if this same curve was applied to Cam Newton??? All the fanbase Cam hate would almost be nonexistent instead of a sizeable contingent.
  19. Yep and the truth is even if we were able to get him on the bottom end of the scale, it would be a salary cap issue for a roster that has more holes than Swiss cheese.
  20. It would take a really damn good offseason for us to be a real threat in the playoffs. Edge is a huge weakness, our TEs are bottom of the league, we need another WR, our C is a FA, ILB has to be upgraded with Roze being gone regardless, FS, possibly NB, I believe Robinson is a FA as well so DL is another need. These are all needs without even mentioning the whole QB situation plus we have no depth.
  21. I truly believe this team would be 9-5 (maybe even 10-4) right now with a decent QB. I wanna see Canales with his handpicked QB before writing him off. Canales still has room to grow. Ejiro has literally won us games this year with his defensive gameplan with damn near no playmakers besides Brown. So that leaves one person..........get that little ass QB outta Carolina.
  22. Yes and yes but the Saints punted twice in the 1st quarter and then never had to punt again and they gave up 10 points in the fourth quarter. That with Canales calling a terrible game cost them.
  23. The "Bryce curve" is just so built into expectations now that mediocre games are good. Because Bryce's "good" is NFL mediocre.
  24. I don't think a great QB will ever be able to overcome a bad owner/ownership. It permeates too much of the organization and creates scenarios where it is very difficult to ever succeed for any length of time. In fairness to that draft, two of the top 3 guys in this "strong" draft were huge busts and Bryce wasn't even the biggest one. Perhaps, ultimately, we just made that trade up in the wrong draft, as well. Compare it to the next draft that has seen so much success and wouldn't have even required any sort of trade ups.
  25. Precisely. I feel line people are giving away the participation trophy equivalent of praise to Bryce in almost all his "good" games. He isn't a top 25 starting QB. No matter how you dice it, that is always going to be a problem. Especially when his "ascent" is at such a glacial pace as to be almost imperceptible. Does anyone really want to wade through another few years of wishing and hoping?
