Mike Tomlin stepping down as HC of the Steelers
frankw replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Tomlin or Harbaugh go to the Falcoms we are boned. -
That is how I see it. I would not moving him while he has some value. I think we could use the $$ to sign an edge. Now that we might have to draft a T early...

The one thing about that is Blank may not be with us all that long. He is pretty old now. 83. I guess with the best medical care he could have a while, but senility is a threat. Then what happens to the team? -
that schedule next year is....rough obviously we've still got games to play and the draft and FA but my lord.
-
Fapping over QBR when our offense couldn't complete one single pass in 4 downs in our own stadium with 3 timeouts certainly fits with the just happy to be here vibe.
-
The reason I caught it was I was looking at next year and the annual Bryce suck fest to mark the beginning of the schedule, and thinking 2-6? Then we will be 2-8 in our last 10? Ugh.
-
lmao rodgers eat poo forever
-
I looked back and marked the Packers win as something of what we assumed would be a turning point for us. I missed the game we split with the Bucs. So 3-5 in the last 8 is correct. Slightly better. But still not at all ideal for how I expected us to finish the season.

Inebriated fans yelling and heckling isn't remotely limited to the Panthers and Bryce Young. And I can assure you other Panthers QB's have seen their share of such. There were times people practically wanted to kill Jake Delhomme. This inferiority complex some have with Bryce Young certainly isn't healthy either to be clear.
-
6 of our last 8? Meaning we finished 2-6? Not sure that’s accurate. Check the math.
-
I believe the kids call it "rent free"
-
this...............is an odd take. and you personally saw "multiple fights" between panther fans because people were booing bryce?

You don't have to explain football to me. I've played and watched football my whole life. YOU DO NOT PLAY SOFT ZONE WHEN THEY HAVE 2:30 WITH 3 TIMEOUTS. I can't believe I even have to explain this to somebody. Playing soft prevent zone would be fine if they had like 40 seconds left, but not with ALL their timeouts and 2 minutes left. It's not even about personnel, it's the SITUATION. YOU DON'T CARE IF THEY SCORE FAST! Man up and play aggressive and either hope for a turnover/sack, or they score fast which is what you want.

Should Canalas bring someone else in to call offensive plays?
strato replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think I agree. If they can give Bryce that long why not the coach that has to deal with him as well? I am not convinced the playbook is totally open. We get a play caller in that has to deal with that what it look like? Will he limit his menu to Bryce friendly plays or just call his usual game? Will he be able to be fluid and call a game the way he likes, while being limited? That can’t be easy to adapt to. -
lol he really is the bogeyman
-
The best thing Horn does is jump and make highlight reel INTs and have a reputation of being a good corner but now that people are starting to respect Mike Jack, Horn is getting exposed
-
he completed less than 50% of his passes and his ypa of 6.6 was a full yard less than the league average in 2025. Bryce's average for the year was 6.4 so he was basically what he always is. For whatever reason canales offense did well against this rams defense in Charlotte this year. I think the biggest takeaway from that game, especially in the first half, is that the Rams should have had their foot on the Panthers throat and just let it slip away.

He already is the OC. Canales let him call some plays during the preseason. He is greener than Canales in that role. We could get lucky and he could be really good, naturally, but that is a long shot. -

the panthers do not have the personnel to play man across the board against the rams. very few teams in the league do. Instead of having a WR settling into a zone in the middle of the field you'll have one running full speed wide open when they catch. Panthers are trading yards for time hoping they can tighten up in the red zone because they're protecting a 4 point lead. this is basic stuff. there's a reason harukia nakamura doesn't have a statue outside the stadium. -
Good for us very bad for Icky, the big extension has not been done. We can spend most of that on whatever. Another LOT, a C, a ILB, Edge, something. He is a good teammate, a good guy, good to have on the team. Pretty good LOT. Hate it for him
