Let him ride the pine for a couple more games. Turn him back over to practice and see if he's found it in himself again. If not, put him out there for trade bait. If we can't get it out of him, maybe someone else can. Chalk it up as a learning experience however it turns out.

I'll throw some names at you I would've considered for HC: Dan Mullen Matt Entz The portal is too deep to get into and I honestly don't pay enough attention to do it across the board but let's just stick to the key position - QB. Indiana gave Fernando Mendoza less than we gave Gio Lopez. Hell, speaking of Indiana I would've called Cignetti too. I know he's older than would be ideal but he's still a decade younger than the guy we hired and he's actually a proven winner at the COLLEGE level and didn't have to get lured back into the game off the couch.

Until the Vikings badly needed WR help, there was never a remote report about Thielen wanting out, and beyond that, he brought out Bryce and all the pass catchers to Minnesota for a few days to work out a month or two before the season. He wasn't trying to force his way out of here until the Vikings possibility came about, trying to say anything else is just attacking him for asking for the trade in the end and being sour about it. It would be like we had injuries and reached out to the Ravens about Smitty going into his last year and then him telling the team he'd love to come back home.

I think people have been pretty understanding with Young considering how bad the supporting cast has been. The understanding stops when he cant physically make NFL throws. Was it the WRs fault that Young had to be pulled for a Hail Mary attempt because he cant throw from the 50 to the end zone? He is the most limited NFL QB I can think of, especially for a #1 overall pick.

Renfrow isn't in playing shape, he can't block and looks so small out there. He'll be better later in the season once he gets his legs and strength back. It really blows that XL isn't there mentally. I hope Tet plays. I came into the thread looking for updates and instead we are talking about Adam Thielen's wife. We need Coker back ASAP. If Coker can stay healthy, He's a good #2 to Tet even if its in the slot. David Moore can play for now since he actually blocks and knows what he's doing, even if he's slow. I like Brycen but he needs more time to learn blocking

He didn't go through camp with them and is still a 3rd or 4th option, at best. Not to mention that is the 30th ranked offense at 145.7 yds passing/game. If people here(or there) thought he was going to waltz in and repeat his Panthers performances, it wasn't happening. He is/was our best option and that would only be the case in Minny if about 3-4 more guys get knocked out for the year.

The number of starters doesn’t matter. We’ve had a bunch of rookie starters every year for a while now because we have awful talent and depth. What we need is to get more above average starters not Wallace, Sanders, Young, and XL. All started 8 or more of their rookie year games. Mingo started 14 games his rookie year. TMJ started 9 games. We are going to continue to be crap until we draft multiple “good” starters, not just bodies who start as rookies because we aren’t a talented team yet. Trouble is that we seem to only get above average starters from top 10 picks.
