  1. Past hour
  2. his podcast is really good, good for him
  3. "Mah fa-muh-ly" jfc Brian Kelly is such a chode
  4. I'm curious to see what Evero can do with a little talent sprinkled in there. I'm not expecting anything crazy but it should be serviceable with all the pieces we added...
  5. Looks like he knew Evero's defense sucked worse than we did.
  6. People keep overlooking this. Luvu wanted to go plan in Dan Quinn's system. We offered him plenty of money he turned it down.
  7. We have no business giving up the kind of capital that GB did until we have a more complete roster. We already did this to trade up for Bryce which has set us back for a minute.
  8. Will try to get some of the recent Charlotte Observer articles + YouTube stuff posted up later this evening if I get time.
  9. If you believe Jerry Jones they contacted teams with a DT they wanted. So its likely they initiated the discussion and we weren't interested beyond entertaining the idea.
  10. The Athletic articles round-up Panthers cut Hunter Renfrow, now he’s back as Week 1 starter: ‘It’s been a whirlwind’ In addition to other stuff already reported (Canales' concern with physical conditioning, AT trade, daughter watching Bluey and declining calls, etc) there's also mention that his initial deal went from $1.3M to $2.3M with another $800k in potential incentives. $200k if he finishes with 40 catches $200k if he reaches 500 receiving yards Both totals increase to $400k if the Panthers make the playoffs Mention of how while at Clemson in 2015 when he joined as a walk-on, Mike Williams fractured his neck early in the opener vs. Wofford after colliding with the base of the goal post. Hunter caught two passes after entering the game and would go on to finish his college career with two national championships and the fifth most receptions (186) in school history. Derrick Brown is back — a good thing for Carolina’s defense: ‘I’m ready to get to it’ The article is predominantly reviewing DB's first few years with the team to highlight his growth + accomplishments. Mentioned being grateful for the hit by Cade Stover during joint practices with the Texans because he hadn't had his "bell rung in a year." He feels normal. The knee's been fine and he's dealt with the oblique strain that he started camp with. Week 1 NFL Power Rankings: Eagles on top, but Packers eke closer with Micah Parsons Carolina Panthers moved up from 28th to 27th. "After the preseason, the Panthers believe they made the right decision in taking Tetairoa McMillan with the eighth pick. It’s part of the reason Carolina felt comfortable trading Adam Thielen back to the Vikings. Another reason was the development of 2024 UDFA wide receiver Jalen Coker, but Coker is now on IR, prompting the Panthers to sign Hunter Renfrow. Throw in 2024 first-round pick Xavier Legette, and Bryce Young will have to prove last year’s strong finish was no fluke while playing with one of the youngest starting receiving corps in the league." NFL QB stock report, Week 1: Is Patrick Mahomes still in a class of his own? Bryce Young ranked 21st, finished last season as #21 NFL Future Hits List: 32 under-the-radar names every true fan should know Carolina Panthers: Corey Thornton, CB "A coaching source called Thornton, an undrafted free agent rookie who made Carolina’s initial 53-man roster, the 'most consistent performer of any young guy in camp.' If the Panthers continue to face big questions about their defense this fall, Thornton, who will show up on special teams initially, could see playing time." 25 most intriguing players in NFL this season: Aaron Rodgers, Travis Hunter, Micah Parsons 15. Bryce Young, QB, Carolina Panthers "The 2023 top pick finds himself in a precarious position. Benched early last season by rookie head coach Dave Canales, Young managed to recover, regain his job and show some signs down the stretch that suggest he might be starting to get it. But the Panthers need to see him elevate his game and deliver on a consistent level. Carolina has endured six straight double-digit loss seasons. If Young can’t spearhead a turnaround this season, owner David Tepper could be looking for his replacement next offseason." Intel on all 32 NFL teams: Rome Odunze breakout, Drake Maye buzz, trade rumors and more "Defensive lineman Derrick Brown has somewhat quietly been a high-impact player for a few years, and judging by conversations with those around him this season, it doesn’t sound like there’s any dropoff in sight. Brown has continued to impress this summer and should be a force, although the rest of that Panthers defense continues to need a lot of work."
  11. Parsons to Carolina made no sense if we were going to try and give him what he wanted. If it was 2 1sts, DB, and that contract, there was no feasible was to build around him in the next 4 years, especially with Bryce still lacking a full season of productivity. GB has their QB. We aren't certain yet, though the end of last season was reason for optimism. Parsons is an elite talent, but unfortunately we're not in the position to make that type of move for him. That's a put you over the top SB window run type move.
  12. Sorry. Maybe im unrealistic. But I dont make guys with injuries my luxury people. Too high risk. All players deal with some injuries, but for top dollar at a position? On anything other than a 1-2 year deal? No way. Im more cautious than most though, as evidenced by my continued (and annoying i know) griping about our 2nd round RB thats injured.
  13. Disagree, he grew up a fan apparently and loves Bryce.
  14. Depth chart doesnt matter for dline. In an interview yesterday Canales mentioned Brown, Wharton, Brown and Robinson can all play every spot and will rotate.
  15. BY better not throw a pick on his first pass again. That ish is getting old. See the guy open before you throw it - at least for the first completion. Fug anticipation with new receivers. See him open, then fire a strike.
  16. Who said we offered 2 1st rounders or anything
  17. Dallas is so dumb. If I was Dallas I would’ve taken Ashawn Robinson or Wharton or hell even Bobby Brown instead of Brown if it meant securing our 2 1st rounders Kenny Clark is about to turn 30 and isn’t anything special but those 1st rounders from GB are most likely going to be in the 20’s Our picks could end up ranging from like 5-18
  18. Today
  19. I’m sure they wanted the picks too. I’m absolutely not doing that trade even if parsons is healthy
  20. Plummer to Hooker seems to fulfill looking for the smallest gains.
  21. I wouldn't have had a problem with giving up Brown for Parsons but we literally can't afford the 2 firsts. That's future roster suicide.
  22. I’m seeing articles indicating we called about Parsons but backed out when they wanted DBrown. I am guessing the price was D Brown and 2 firsts
  23. I hate Brian Kelly with a passion. He’s just a piece of poo.
  24. Last time we looked like poo in the preseason, it turned out we really was poo. I got zero trust in this team before they show me otherwise.. As of right now, we are poo. Prove me wrong on sunday.
