  2. Not to me. You win six games by 3 points but lose one by 30, you have a negative point differential but still have a winning record. Stats are flukey in football. That's why I don't rely on them for evaluation. But again, my evaluation of this team is not that they're a great team or even a very good team. What I've seen doesn't bear that out. I see an average to potentially above average team that can beat bad teams and also has been able to hang with some good ones. Mind you, that's an improvement from previous seasons but it's still not where we want to be. And no, I'm still not convinced we get to where we want to be with Bryce at the helm. But we have some challenging games coming up where he at least has a chance to prove me and other doubters wrong. Bottom Line: I doubt my overall assessment of the team is all that different from yours. We just arrive at our respective takes via differing paths.
  3. We also took XL over McConkey. The Panthers always have an almost illogical hard on for project players that fulfill height/weight/speed parameters who may not have been the best players in college. Although to be fair, Tmac was consistently productive and that paid off. They didn't over think that pick and they benefited. McConkey was insanely explosive at Georgia but the Panthers probably never even considered him with a below average height/weight/other measurable.
  4. 4th and 3 inside the 15 and GT is gonna kick a FG? No way. You're down 4 scores. You gotta go for 7. Okay, they called a timeout. Surely they're going for it.
  5. I was going to say this. Don't expect anything like the Falcons game last Sunday. I don't think we'll have answers defensively for Kittle and McCaffrey. Among others. Missing your two starting ILBs and your starting Center is an absolute killer. The only thing we have going for us is pure luck that injuries and free agency have decimated the 49ers defense recently. If they had their Super Bowl defense with Warner, Greenlaw, Bosa, and the secondary guys they lost. Then this would have been a massacre. Maybe we have a slight chance if we can somehow get the pass rush going and stop cmc from murdering us.
  6. This is an odd Sunday since we aren't playing until Monday night. I usually have the day off but I have to work until right around 1PM. What games will you be watching if any? Will you take the opportunity of the Panthers not playing on Sunday to do other stuff or will you watch other games? I'm mostly interested in Colts vs Cheifs at 1PM and the Sunday night game, Buccaneers vs Rams. I have a passing interest in Browns vs Raiders because Shedur Sanders is starting a full game for the first time. (I followed Colorado college football really closely the last 2 years, now I'm mostly following Texas games this season). If the Bucs lose Sunday night and we win Monday night, we may be leading the division. Not sure.
  7. Pitt up 28 - 0 against Ga Tech? The ACC man
  8. Wow. Georgia Tech flat out didn't show up. 28-0 Pitt early in the 2nd quarter.
  9. Today
  10. First they decline Aiyuks deal and now go after this guy. I'm sensing a trend.
  11. Charlotte needs to be relegated to the FCS.
  12. Kind of hard to do your best job as a GM while also pleasing a dipshit owner who wants to call the shots. Tepper wanted Bryce and pretty sure he wanted XL and Brooks for his little pet.
  13. SEC strength of schedule argument today ... Eastern Illinois, Coastal Carolina, Mercer, Samford, Charlotte. In fairness, Clemson scheduled Furman prior to rivalry week.
  14. Yesterday
  15. Or receiving the panthers offense and special teams have to perform those linebackers replacing the 2 that is out also play special teams 49ers are vulnerable defensively too gotta say that having Corbett and Zavala on the line is concerning i really want tgem to won this game
  16. Gio is doing better but I hope he isn’t the QB next season. I mean he just isn’t the guy IMO.
  17. It is official on Rozeboom from queen city news The Panthers will be without three key starters during Monday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, the team reports Saturday. Linebackers Christian Rozeboom and Trevin Wallace, along with center Cade Mays, have been ruled out on this week’s injury report. Rozeboom’s hip/hamstring injury and Wallace’s shoulder injury kept them out of practice all week, while Mays (ankle) was added to the injury report on Friday.
  18. Agreed. My first thought was "this kicker may still be thinking about being roughed, he may miss this". And then boom, great call, even as much as I hate Dook. But real question ... In college, you are ruled down if your knee hits the ground, why is a kneeling holder not considered down or ineligible to continue a play beyond holding for a kick?
  19. Manny Diaz can coach…what a call on the fake.
  20. Gio Lopez pulled a Bryce Young and turned into a serviceable quarterback for a day. Let's see if Heels can hold on. Duck Fook.
  21. Notre Dame brought a bag of whoopass to Cuse. Damn they look great right now. 35 in the first quarter? Damn
  22. You would have to think so. I mean to not even negotiate some sort compromise is very strange.
  23. I listened to a knowledgeable professional 49ers podcaster this morning do a through breakdown of the panthers he said 1. the panthers trio of TEs and how the Panthers use them could give the 49ers fits. 2. Said young team just needs a draft or two to fill some spots 3. very high on Scorton 4. Side note says the 49ers hate A’shawn Robinson and he hates them owing to his time with the Rams 5. Conversely he didnt see any way the Panthers could stop CMC given the linebacker injuries
