Not defending the guy and honestly don't even know who he is, but a lot of people had Sanders going to the Saints until they literally came out the week before the draft and said they absolutely were not taking a QB at #9. Even a few holdouts thought it was a bluff. So everyone that had us taking Williams or Walker are clowns? Only a very few mocks leading up to the draft had us taking TMac. He was a popular choice to us early on (myself included) and, in hind sight, why the "leaks" of us loving Walker to the media was so common. Verge did get one thing right about the draft, Walker was a smokescreen. Sure he may have been the consolation prize if TMac had got taking by the Jags or Jets, but we now know who really was the #1 target.

That would put him top ten in touchdowns based on the QB numbers from last year. That would be impressive. The completion percentage is firmly in the 20-25 range of meh. I think as far as rushing that's a bit of an enigma. But we should probably go ahead and unblur the line between possibility and sheer hopium. I do not think any of us should want him running in the open field. Extending plays with his legs? Sure. Expecting him to have 5 rushing touchdowns? Idk how realistic that is. And all it's going to take is one big hit and bye bye that goes. It really boils down for me to putting touchdowns on the board. I'm willing to give him leeway in the statistical categories if he is leading us to consistent redzone scoring percentages. And with the offensive pieces we have around him now that should not be a problem.

I'm well versed in the minutiea of the Canes radio broadcast system... lol I've been back in WNC for about 15 years now. And, until very recently, we would only get Predators games on the RSNs out here. So, radio was the only option for me to keep up with the team. These were the dark years, too. I will say though, as much as I've criticized Dundon and as much as I loathe the existence of billionaires on principle, he has done an exceptional job of improving the fan experience, on the whole. Working with the league to expand the coverage map and bringing in outdoor games and all-star weeks has been huge. But, improving the quality on the ice (and of the ice) for all levels of hockey across the state has been even bigger! I forgot where I was going with all this, but...
