Oh poo, let's gooo!!!!
-
Do it. Get something out of it. Either way he is probably done after this season. Maybe we can get some LB or secondary depth out of it. Renfrow is the same type of player on a less talented level. Give McMillan, Legette, and Coker the top 3. Gives you a path to also keep Renfrow, Horn, Tremayne, etc.
-
we are such a poverty ass franchise
-
I would trade him in a heartbeat, especially if it's for a 5th round pick or better. He smashed expectations here, but will never have higher trade value, just go ahead and cash in on it. If he's that important to Bryce's success then he ain't gonna make it in the NFL. Also have a similar skillset of a player in Renfrow sitting right there as well.

Just a reminder, straight from the horse's mouth... “It’s chronic stuff. Most linemen deal with it," Moton said of his knee. "But it’s just figuring out what we can do to make sure it’s limited and I’m still able to explode off it, which right now I can and I feel like I can in the future." So yeah, we're re-upping a guy on the other side of 30 who himself admits that he's dealing with chronic knee issues.
-
Man after they didn't try to restructure him this off-season, I thought he was as good as gone
-
but, but, but.............
-
All I know is a sh*tty right tackle cost us a championship back in 2015. Pay the man. Your o-line can never be too good.
-
https://jokermag.com/average-age-nfl-players/#average-age-of-nfl-offensive-linemen The avg age of linemen is 26. He is 31 with knees that have to be managed. He is under contract for this year. Why in the holy fug would you just let this play out and see what happens in the offseason. And dont give me "he should be rewarded for being our best lineman" thats not how the nfl works like at all
-
I think the confusion revolves around the rumors his knees were in bad shape. If that IS the case, this is a bad idea because he very well could be close to the end of his career. If that is all BS and he isn't having chronic issues, it's great to have our best OL since Kalil retired back.
-
There are a grand total of 14 OTs on NFL rosters over the age of 32.
-
Man if you get a 4th you pull the trigger
-
On the one hand I get it, on the other hand I was hoping we would move Icky to RT next season and draft a better LT.
-
64 starting tackles pretty sure 2024 is just last year.
-
Yall are a trip, Offensive tackles aren't ancient at 31, in fact a 2 year deal for a 31 year old tackle its perfect lol. Dude is still a top third tackle.
-
Andrew Whitworth's last contract with the Rams was a three-year deal signed on March 18, 2020, worth $30 million with up to $37.5 million available, which made it the highest-paying contract for a non-quarterback over 35 in NFL history at the time. This deal kept the veteran left tackle with Los Angeles for his final seasons before his eventual retirement. Read it and weep. I swear sometimes you want the sky to fall so bad so you can say typical Panthers, we are the only ones to ever do this or that, you forget obvious examples illustrating the obtuse nature of your statements!

There's been talk/rumors about trading him for the entire preseason. I could see him being open to going back to the Vikes.
-
Moton extension. 2 more years, $44M
Move the Panthers to Raleigh replied to jb2288's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dude gets blown up in preseason, and that's when the FO thinks, "He's earned it" and proceed to extend him. The ghost of Marty Hurney is still in the building. -
Not familiar with the Vikings' roster but
-
IDK about upset. It's a little perplexing given that the rumors are his knees aren't in great shape. One has to assume the team knows different. Especially for that chunk o cash. If he's healthy, glad to have him back.
-
Add it to another long list of bone headed Morgan and Canalas moves
-
I'm not opposed to it IF we're confident XL is ready to deliver AND that Renfrow can stay healthy. I didn't like how he reached for that hammy after that hospital ball last night.
-
This might be a shocker, but we have the leverage for once.
-
A few content guys have constantly said we would trade AT and I thought no way because there were no suitors. Well, with the Vikings calling, how bad do they want him? If it is something worth our time 4th and up, bang bang.
-
he has been paid, handsomely, you dont give new guaranteed deals on past performance................unless you are the panthers
