Probably. How many trades have the Panthers won the last five years? One?
-
I’m fine ride or die. We had Theilen for 2025 and then he’s gone. We get to move up to better picks and the young guys get their opportunity. I do find it laughable that Theilen not being here might stunt Young’s growth. JFC, for all the guys who think Morgan is doing a great job, we’ve give up 2023 pick 9, 2024 pick 1, 2024 pick 32 and 2025 pick 8. If Adam Theilen being gone makes our passing offense go to poo after spending 3 top 10 picks and another 1st rounder, then we best fire the entire coaching and front office and start our rebuild the right way in 2026.
-
We had 7 receivers, now we have 6. So they wouldnt need to add anyone.
-
We gave him a raise to talk him out of retirement lol.
-
I would say perhaps he did make his feelings known.
-
It’s pretty obvious Thielen forced his way out here guys, no one will come out and say this but that’s what happened
-
I wish our front office would worry about doing the fans a solid every once in a while. Good for AT but is this the make a wish foundation or a competitive football team?
-
It's not a true pick swap because the years are different. They are trading lower third of the round picks for top 10 in the round picks, though. I would say they did win this trade.
-
Getting a 4th round pick for Thielen at this age and salary is pretty good. It'll likely hurt us short term though unfortunately, now I definitely want Renfrow back.
-
Wow this has been a wild offseason
-
Morgan went from having leverage to that. Yeah man I gotta think Theilen and his wife pushed hard. I guess that was bullshit about coming back for bryce lol
-
Only the Panthers are selling before week 1
-
AT's been a stand-up guy for us. From what I'm seeing it looks like he wanted this to happen to go home to Minnesota. If you count the delayed year, basically we got two fifth round pics this year. But that fourth round pick will come in handy in 27. We did right by him, and got some assets.
-
It's no bounty but LET COKER COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK
-
What about the salary?
-
Looks like an elaborate pick swap
-
From X it said we get 2026 5th and 2027 4th and give up Theilen, 2026 7th and 2027 5th.
-
This trade is dumb as hell.
-
Pressure on this very young receiving group now. They're gonna have to grow up fast. Like in a week. Actually they need to bring someone in. No offense but Moore can't be your vet go-to guy.
-
The compensation is quite good for the player. The decision to trade seems foolish based on our situation specifically. Oh well. I guess it's ride or die with the young guns. If they end up dying.....not sure how this is gonna work out for the FO/Coaching staff.
-
Another quality front office move by teppers panthers
-
Giving up Thielen, a conditional 7th AND a 2027 5th for: A 2026 5th A 2027 4th Not enthused, but basically getting him for a fourth and a pick swap. Not terrible I guess.
-
Pick swaps are useless. How much of the salary are we eating?
-
We have an excellent group of young receivers. This move forces their growth and creates a nucleus we can have for years.
-
It makes sense if he's coming back and was released to facilitate the trade and cut down
