If Matt Rhule bothers you that much, just bet against Nebraska whenever they play anyone in the top 25. It's free money. -

XL makes a list of sophomore breakout candidates
BEASTfromdaEAST replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
XL definitely has the talent to breakout and I think now with multiple weapons on offense it will open things up for him. We ALL know what he has to fix......drops. XL has to get better at that no question. If he can then skys the limit and I know I'm excited to see XL and Mac daddy in Panthers uniforms for years. -

Lord knows the US court/judicial system always gets it right..... Ray Rice is perfect example of the justice system failing victims (MOSTLY women) of violent often sexual crimes no recourse. I hope you don't have a daughter that some ish like this doesn't happen to her in her lifetime and you be like "let the courts do their job" fug these men who are predators and hide behind money and lawyers in a corrupt system AND the people who blindly support them or choose to turn a blind eye. -
Thought this was gonna be about Lebron...
-
yeah, but the actual jersey Bryce Young is wearing is not the same jersey you are buying from Fanatics. it's why the fine print on even the highest tier jersey you can buy.....is very specific. And they use words like inspired, closest to, better than lower variants.

i just feel like i read & hear this he says she says poo all the time over & over again on the internet TV work ,in public & then i think back to myself oh what a sick slandermongering world we live in now. ts just like those National Enquirer magazines you find in the grocery store at the checkout counter which are nothing more than complete & utter BS & more often than not when you assume something then you make an ASS out of U & ME. so chill & let the courts do their job & if he is guilty well he is guilty LOL either or this has nothing at all whatsoever to do with Carolina Panthers football .. just saying

Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter

my understanding is a big time throw, could be a 5-10 yard slant to Adam Thielen given AT isn't going to separate.

How would you feel if Bryce did this in 2025
PNW_PantherMan replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's a subjective stat that PFF made up. https://www.pff.com/news/pro-pff-qb-grading-most-effective-tool-there-is -
I really don't think that's the case in the slightest, if that's what they really wanted, they'd change uniforms to the soccer model where they get new jerseys literally every single season, so if you don't get the new one each year, you no longer have the team's current version. And just because it "feels like cheap stretchy material" because it's different than what it used to be, it doesn't mean they're going to fall apart, as if anything, they're more likely than not more durable. If jerseys rarely tear during NFL games, I don't think every day John Smith out there is going to be wearing his jersey into the ground when they wear it 20 times a year for games, draft, fantasy draft, etc.

93% of his pass attempts last year are post benching to final game (starting with Denver).

Is this the entire season? Is this completions? What defines big time throws? I mean it's a pretty arbitrary and meaningless "stat" in the grand scheme of things - Today
-
I think you are looking at the season and that stat has to be post benching. His first few games can change the averages by quite a bit as they were awful vs decent after the benching. Season totals will paint a bleak picture while game by game and year end trends can give us some hope. Throw in year 2 of the same offense, same OL, plus TMac and we should expect some improvements overall.
-
or....their job is to sell as many jersey's as humanly possible. Which mean like products all over the map.....they are designed to intentionally have a shorten shelf life....so that you have to buy more. They don't want you to buy a jersey someone's rookie season and it last for their career. They need you to comeback and buy it again.
-
It also occurred to me that they might not even be able to start shipping these out until he signs his contract and is officially on the team, that could be why they are still a pre-order even though they've confirmed his number already.
-
Or is it that the jerseys have just improved so much over the years that what is best for players to wear, may have reached a tipping point to where it's now a weird material/style for fans to be wearing?
-
Got to pick up little dude from school in a minute, but once I get back if I have time I'll see if I can figure out which via the data points. I was leaning towards post-benching but I figured that'd be called out somewhere if so.
-
It's a really just a weird anomaly of a stat IMO For example, Bryce essentially had the worst on target % in the NFL last year. That stat wouldn't lead you to believe that was also true. He throws shorter than almost the entire league on average. He naturally plays a more risk adverse brand of football. So despite bringing heaviest % of off target throws to anyone on that graph.....they aren't all that aggressive and he is missing into the sideline for example often, thus....aren't deemed "turnover worthy". Which is fine. It's smart football for us. But it's also why the ceiling of everything is just so low.
