The Saints would love to knock us out of the race. We lose that game and the path to the playoffs gets extremely hard and less likely to happen.

Frankly, I'd say every remaining game is a must-win.

Whether it is the goalies fault or not. Whenever Kooch is in net I expect to lose. If I feel that way there is an issue.

What I like most right now is that at least for the moment, we control our own destiny.

Flyers were 5-0 in shootouts this season and then they met the Canes with a poke check and a Blake to end them.

Its fun to look at the scenarios to get there. But nothing matters at this point but to beat the Saints. Everything else will take care of itself. The next game is a must win and it's not a gimme.

Pessimism Isn't really all that difficult to understand. You don't want to be optimistic because you expect the team to fail and us to be disappointed. Truth be told, I'm not someone to coout chickens before they hatch. I prefer to be cautious. But I'm neither gonna say it can't happen or that it's a bad thing if it does.

Actually, I kid you not... On the somewhat less likely side... Mund you, I've been a Panther fan way too long to believe any path we do successfully navigate to the postseason is gonna be an easy one...if it happens at al.
