  1. Past hour
  2. Exactly. They grew together. We will never know but I am 100% confident Bryce wouldn't lead that team to the playoffs his first year. Hell, it took him 3 years to get close to Stroud's best game as a rookie. Bryce's issues were well beyond a lack of support. Dudes footwork sucked and he needed a solid OL.
  3. Going by Statmuse, Geoff isn't higher. In fact, Young is just behind Mahommes, Herbert and Stafford.
  4. There are chances for lots of things. Possible is not the same as plausible. Personally, I don't think it's wise to spend premium draft capital on a rb with a serious injury. It sure is great we told Jerruh Jones to pound sand and snapped up a player we assumed he wanted though. Har har, Jerruh! But that's my take on it. As I have said previously here, I hope he is the next great Longhorns rb in the NFL. Maybe he will be. There's a chance.
  5. Yeah, he basically turned into post-ACL/losing mom version of KB without having those excuse crutches to lean on. KB is definitely one of those "what if" stories. I don't think he was mentally built for the long haul but if that double whammy hadn't derailed him I could've seen him having a David Boston type run where he was dominant for a few years before the weight and conditioning issues caught up with him and the injuries started piling up as Father Time started whooping on him.
  6. Starters only? I would take Young over anyone that is broken down and/or over the hill. So no Rodgers, no Cousins, no Smith, no Flacco. Not that a team can't win or compete but their time is over. I would take Young over some early-in-career qbs that have had little to no success. This would mostly be a zero-sum trade. So, no Fields, no Murray, no McCarthy, no Gabriel, no Penix. I might be forgetting 1 or 2, but that would be the gist.
  7. Slowik was a jumped up dork from PFF who got a shot to play real life madden, did some cool things his first year, then had no idea what to do when defenses adjusted (cautionary tale) tank dell had to be shot behind the stadium like a horse most important the Texans attempts to fix the offensive line have been the exact opposite of Carolina’s. None of their free agents or draft picks have worked out/stayed healthy. Stroud has been murdered and is having to play hero ball. Current offensive coordinator is just the latest piece of fruit to fall from the Rams coaching tree. And with all of that strouds performance buries Bryce’s.
  8. FSU WR's recently......not good. I know we dunk on XL but Coleman may want to be in the NFL even less.
  9. Statmuse is awful. It rarely shows the stat you ask for. We are 24 https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team/_/stat/downs/table/miscellaneous/sort/thirdDownConvPct/dir/desc
  10. Yeah, I never said that he'll be just like new. I said I was surprised at how completely negative the sentiment is on this board and that there's still a good shot he can contribute again. As in a chance.
  11. I didn't realize Keon Coleman was a healthy scratch last night. The Bills basically went out there to play the #1 D in the league with no wide receivers because fug this guy THAT much. LOL This dude is gonna end up bounced out of the league pretty soon seemingly because he can't get to meetings on time. Good grief. That's about the dumbest way to piss away a 7-8 figure a year career possible.
  12. That is weird. Regardless, 24 or 18th place, that's only about 1.4% ( 37% vs 38.4% )difference which is pretty insignificant overall. As far the QB ratings on 4th down, could you either give me the data or point me to were I can find it. Again, I am just going on what statmuse provided on 4th down numbers. Given how much more successful the Panthers have been on 4th downs than the Lions, I am curious to see how Geoff rates higher. Not trying to be argumentative. I am honestly curious.
  13. Nico Collins hadn’t broken 40 receptions or 500 yards in either of his seasons before stroud got there.
  14. that Packers dude I'm pretty sure went about re-writing the Packers record books.....and basically was never seen again.
  15. Yes but with no blow outs of our own to even it out. I guess that would be pretty odd to have a team that either wins or loses by 30 every week and has ~0 point differential.
  16. Our gameplan is pretty much hope that the other team fugs up more than we fug up. Somehow that strategy has resulted in a winning record (so far)
  17. Meh it’s something I’d feel confident betting on. The situation here was literally hell. It was horrible for Young’s development Young had guys like Hurst and Chalk who aren’t even in the league anymore. Mingo and Sanders might as well retire. The OL was a disaster. Reich’s scheme ran its course in Indy and got canned for a reason. Not in NFL anymore either. Houston is a complete team with real good pieces at the most important positions. Arguably best pass rushing duo in league. A top 10 corner. A top 10 WR. It’s a damn good spot for a young QB. This team gets murdered when Young doesn’t play. The beat Vegas that was it. Other than that the games weren’t even close. Meanwhile the Texans go 3-0. I mean even Stroud himself has talked about how he went to a much better situation
  18. Talking draft before Halloween is not good.
  19. It would be disappointing if he didn't try his very best. I would expect him to put everything he has into the game, hard feelings or not, he will still want to show off what we are missing.
  20. I'm not sure why StatMuse is showing that ranking there, it shows 24th here: https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/which-nfl-team-leads-the-league-in-third-down-conversion-percentage-this-season Which lines up with other sources, e.g.: https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/team-stats?category=downs&sort=o_3rdpct&season=2025&seasonType=reg&sortOrder=desc May be how ties are broken or something.
  21. That's fine and all, but I think you missed a little bit with what I was saying. It's not that your opinion doesn't matter or have merit, but I would think Bears fans feel exactly the same, that it shows they are growing and learning how to win, not just getting lucky bounces. In that way, we are biased, even to the point that will seek out data that will support our feelings and judgement.
  22. Yeah I just don't understand this logic. Texans win 3 games without Stroud in 2025. Therefore Bryce would have made the playoffs with the Texans in 2023.
  23. Doesn't really matter the sport or the reason for the departure. That's just from my pro sports watching experience since I was a kid. Granted it's not a guarantee it will happen. But pretty much every pro athlete is going to want to put on a show against their ex team.
  24. Kinda had to. Was in response to Bryce would have duplicated Stroud's rookie season if he hadn't been drafted here.
  25. Exactly. It's not that nuanced. We've seen plenty of QBs have really great games, and they just are what they are. They had a great game. Mike White's done it. Kyle Allen's done it. There's a million examples. Remember that Packers backup dude that had 1 good game and got a Seahawks contract out of it? Before Russ came in the same year and made him useless lol.
