I Feel Bad For All of You - Thank God for Tetairoa McMillan

Not sure how accurate this is, will be curious to see the breakdowns from the people who go through the All 22 video. On my Arizona board, a bunch of people who were at the game have been saying even though they're Cardinals fans, they were rooting for T-Mac and were getting frustrated at how often he was running wide open and Bryce was throwing a check down to someone else instead of even looking T-Mac's way. So sure, maybe they were giving him more attention, but from the sound of it, he was still getting open but Bryce was the one making the decision to look elsewhere. -
Part of all of this is Canales needing to look out for his job as well. I completely expect him to be here next year but next year could be the year he gets fired if he doesnt improve things. So if BY doesnt improve significantly, I would expect to see a new QB here next year. Canales job will determine on how the QB position plays next season.

Maybe he doesn't have a choice this season and is just proving a point... lol

I wanted Slater in the 1st after we just missed out on Sewell. His film showed he could handle elite pass rushers even though his arms were an inch shorter than ideal which is why Rhule wouldn't even consider him. All pro as a rookie. And I'm with you that we should have taken CH in the 2nd. the 2 most important positions on the line solidified for a decade. Nothing against Horn, but you take a franchise LT when they're sitting in front of you, and Slater was clearly that. And the even more sad part is my homer Wolverine pick in the 3rd was Nico Collins. I didn't think he would turn into what he has, but for a 3rd rounder, I wouldn't have hesitated in the slightest. We've been trying to outsmart the room for years and we look really stupid. Horn, TMJ, BC or Slater, Creed, Collins. Completely different offense if we had done something so simple.
-
Ejiro wont get fired.. he gets AT LEAST 4 games - probably closer to half the season. My biggest issue with him is that all teams know that Horn doesnt travel, so they just isolate him on the far side and target Jackson.
-
Morgan takes his orders from the Tepper's. Ultimately if we fire him it's just going to be another yes man. I don't like it either but that's where we're at.
-
Hopefully Dan and Canales can pick their own QB instead of being told who to pick like the front office was in 2023 and 2024. Dunno about this year's draft but maybe that's why it looks better. lol
-
I was done with him the moment his hiring was announced. Completely bonkers decision to promote someone from the Fitterer front office. Everyone involved with any of those decisions under Fitterer should've been canned along with him for a complete overhaul of the room. Tepper is such a clown

It seems that Arizona started focusing on him after he started making some of those catches and Bryce didn't target him again since. How's he going to handle when defenses game plan for him going forward making it incredibly dangerous for Bryce to throw his way? We need some of the other WRs to step up and is a reason why XL being so crap is disappointing. -
It's still mostly the same scouts running the show that we're here in 2021, they've just been promoted. Nicole and David are all over the building and in meetings when it's draft and FA time. They are still completely making the decisions.
-
Im still ok with Dan. Also the reality is that we have to stick with Dan... Im a big believer that GM's and HC's need to be tied to the hip - and we are not firing Canales in year 2 of 7. I think almost no matter how the year end results are, we are having another year with Canales. Its how ye does NEXT year that will determine if he gets fired or not.
-
it's not apples to apples as Keary Colbert's rookie season was better....but XL is about to make Colbert's sophomore regression look like nothing.

What if.... He didn't have a choice like they didn't have a choice with Bryce...

Wasn’t the defenses fault yesterday -
If we’re being honest about XL he’s never been right since Bryce got him vaporized against the Eagles.
-
Yeah this is overlooked for "reasons" but we aren't going to get those lucky breaks against legit contenders on the rest of the schedule. It's gonna get ugly.
-
There are still people who think Wilks was a good answer and he is the DC for the Jets, who have allowed slightly more yards than thr Panthers in 2 games. Some people just like being disappointed.
-
The Panthers have been the opposite of competitive under Bryce Young.

I lost faith in the front office during the 2021 draft. I was never sold on Justin Fields so I was ok with the Horn selection. We had a high 2nd round pick the next night. We were in desperate need of O-line help at almost every position. We traded down twice and picked TMJ who isn't even in the league anymore. Almost any lineman we picked that year would have improved the team. We picked a WR despite having DJ Moore and Robbie Anderson who had just signed an extension and was coming off of a 1,000 yard season. A couple of picks later KC picked Creed Humphrey who is now an All-Pro center and his position is still an area of need on this team. I knew then that these guys can't just look at game film and evaluate players. They're into RAS testing and trying to seem like their draft moves make them the smartest GM in the room.
-
No, it's not acceptable and I've never argued it is. I've only ever argued to let this version of the Panthers room to see if Bryce or Canales or Morgan can build this thing. Last year we overcame a lot in many areas and improved. We have not shown that continued improvement or consistency so far this season in Bryce, Canales and in the defense although stopping the run was a huge step forward. I hope and think that we will.

Amazing what playing with Bryce for a year will do to a receiver. enjoy tmac now because in 2026 he’s going to look like TMJ

I think we good hoodwinked thinking just because a QB was successful at Alabama, they will be successful in NFL. If history tells us anything, most any QB was successful under Saban and have been poor NFL QB's. Hell their best NFL QB left the school after being demoted (and goes on to win a Super Bowl) LOL. Bama's talent and coaching was superior to almost everyone they played making life a lot easier for a QB.
