Yeah, what the hell is Scott doing on that 1 play he dropped back to the 40?? There isn't 10 seconds left in the half and need to defend a hail mary...

Immediately cast blame? We had been talking about the bad throws to Hunter (the missed TDs and hospital ball) for days leading up to that injury report. And yeah, the rib injury then becomes something to point out. and you are getting desperate with this projected extremism. No one said you should never throw seams. I shared with you an article after you scoffed at seams being routes you can get hung out to dry on….and it was the best of the best talking about the dangers of those routes. And they talked about it because they threw them a lot and there dudes were at risk so the throws really matter. Because you can hurt your receivers. we disagree, cool. I got a pro Bryce former NFL QB calling it a hospital ball and bad throw. So I got a plus +1 making my argument. Find a QB that backs your take.

You exclusively highlighted Hunter's name on the injury report and then immediately cast blame. I've pointed out that this wasn't the hospital ball you claim it to be while also acknowledging that there could have been another option to target instead of Renfrow. By everything you've expressed here, you don't think seam routes should ever be thrown. I don't know how that helps the already struggling offense, but I do know that it would make it even worse than it already is. Scapegoating never has and never will solve anything. Tell you what: Try not blaming Bryce or casting shade his way for the entire week after Arizona and instead look at the other 21 starters and assess what they're doing (again, without shading Bryce). I'll join you and refrain from exploring what the rest of the team is doing and will focus solely on what Bryce needs to do better. Deal? This is a sincere peace offering to allow us to explore the other's perspective and perhaps be even more informed football fans.

The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old

TMac PI throw was a TD too. Bryce just drastically under threw it. Renfrow and TMac set themselves up to BOTH have great days. the story of last of no one was open…..isn’t a defense the Bryce Young defenders can use so far this year -

I actually think David Moore needs to play ahead of XL right now. Or find a way to get Horn in the game. XL has some soul searching to do. Canales tried to make him a gadget player, but we can't even do that right. All the potential in the world but he's a work in progress. -
They'll both be on I.R. by week 7.
-
And the only reason we are 28th is because we gave Horn a new contract in the offseason. Otherwise, we would be dead last

Go watch one of the million videos posted in threads that past few days reviewing Bryce and that will give you your answer. Off the top of my head, Renfrow twice on a wheel route for a TD, Renfrow twice on a comeback route with about 5 yards of separation, XL 2 or 3 times on in routes (which I guess I'll excuse because he probably would have dropped them anyway), Tet on a deep post that Bryce overthrew. I'm sure there were more plays - there are just too many to keep track of. -
every season to date a very bad and completely washed Andy Dalton makes a token appearance to give us our passing high on the season. to say other QBs couldn’t do anything is just nuts. Big plays were all over the field Sunday and BY literally couldn’t make a single one of them happen
-
Yeah, he could absolutely be more consistent. But what QB do you want me to show you how they miss throws every game? You could probably pick any QB in the NFL and do a cut up of missed throws in every game - and they'll likely have better WRs than Carolina. Well, there was that Jayden Daniels game last year where he completed like 90% of his passes. He was just in a friggin zone. Don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. But that ain't the norm.
-
To say Bryce isn't exactly killing it... Man... He's so inconsistent he is atrocious. Since coming into the league he is the worst starting QB. Yes he had a decent period at the end of last year but so have countless other busts or mid tier starters. If he doesn't turn it around immediately it'll show last year was a mirage. Our drafts have been going so heavy into the offense the last three years, and our FA has too, it's pathetic where it's at.

we've had now three coaches in Tepper. Can someone tell me why the play selection on offense looks the same? Why he wanted to force a 3-4? I think he's Al Davis-ing and calling down on the bat phone. -
No one. Why do you think that is? Because they love Bryce Young's media presence, or because they realize the TEAM is an absolute shiite show that very few QBs could have success in? Knowing what you know about Tepper, which do you think is the reason? Don't try to overthink it. It's the obvious answer. These receivers aren't good - yet. Did you watch last night's game? How do you think our receivers stack up to GB and WAS receivers? Hot take... Renfrow should have caught the pass he took a shot on. Sanders caught the exact same pass running the exact same route with the exact same hit later in the game. There was another pass down the sideline that Renfrow should have caught and got his feet inbounds. The pass that was thrown short was a bad throw by Bryce. He flat out missed that throw. No argument there - and a great play call/design by Canales. But a better receiver either catches the ball or draws a PI with the defender's back towards the ball. The defender never saw the ball. He 100% played the receiver. Bryce isn't exactly killing it, but his receivers aren't doing him any favors either. Their job is to make QBs right, not the other way around. Any Joe SHOULD be able to go out there and catch perfect passes in perfect calls where they're wide open. That doesn't make you an NFL wide receiver.

Hunt and Lewis on the report two weeks in a row to start the season. You can guarantee they will miss time at some point

You all over the map. First you scoff at seam routes being hospital balls…despite the fact those are always routes QB have to be worried about throwing their WR into a hit. now you are countering with the “you act like Renfrow is on IR” defense and the “but how did he keep playing after that” defense lol it’s a hospital. Simple. You even got NFL QBs explaining it to you in real time with the all22 and telling exactly where Bryce need to put the ball and when.

Highly doubt he comes back this week

Who was open? -
Not disagreeing about needing a strong IOL, just our method of doing it. The 2nd and 3rd rounds are the optimal place to find guards and centers, and we've spent picks on TMJ, Mingo, DJ Johnson, Tremble, Brooks, and even an overweight Deonte Brown instead of Trey Smith in the 6th. We just do things the hard and expensive way and its so damn frustrating.
-
yeah, that worked out real well. lol

Ickey still out? He good?

You're acting like Bryce put him out for the game and the week when that play happened at 4:01 in Q2. Renfrow was targeted four more times after that. Plus, a hospital ball is a poorly placed pass that puts the receiver in a dangerous position to take a big hit by being late or inaccurate. Ball is out an on its way here. The catch is made at the 25yd line on the hash. Renfrow jumps for no reason and is airborne when he's hit. Bryce doesn't drift him over in front of the safety on the throw and as we can see from the capture that he had the right read. Could he have also waited a little longer for XL to pop up over the middle on the in route? You won't hear me disagree with that. Would have also likely netted more YAC than Renfrow would've considering positioning and momentum for both players. I like that option better than the one he took, but you're also not going to see me make 10 different threads about it like we've seen this week. Also worth noting that while Renfrow didn't need to jump for that ball that he did run a beautiful route to get open.
