  1. Past hour
  2. I think, especially after their visit with Boston, that the Panthers are going WR again unless some player falls to them that they did not expect.
  3. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48447175/sources-colts-agree-seek-new-team-cb-kenny-moore-ii I'm not going to pretend to know much about a Colts CB and how he played last year, just didn't pay enough attention to them. But if he still has some game left in him, he's a nickel back who was a pro bowler not too long ago, feel like he could be a great addition to our defense. Horn, Jackson, Moore, CSW would be a pretty nice CB unit.
  4. I wouldn't mind it. Everyone talks about TE not being a need and that Canales doesn't utilize TEs in the passing game, meanwhile we have one of the worst TE units in the NFL and we'd be dumb to heavily utilize them in the passing game. If Canales wants to use the TE position as a core part of the passing game then it's quietly actually a huge need. Every TE on pur roster is a guy who should be competing for a backup spot at most and honestly probably just simply fighting to hang onto a roster spot and a paycheck.
  5. well said. The TE is great for the middle of the field (crosses, curls, seams, etc) and Bryce is not great throwing there. Maybe they blame the TE.
  6. In the first, draft a guy who plays a position that you have to pay $25-60m on a second contract. If you have 4 of these players starting (over time), you save a lot of money that can be spent upgrading many other positions. The first rounder is not just about the talent of the player--it is a business arrangement. WR? I am fine with it. OT? I get it. Edge? Sure. CB? I understand. Safety or TE? Not in round 1. I think the Panthers will target Delp early day 3. So it was written.
  7. Not getting the "not understanding impactful players part. An afterthought of a 2nd round pick won three MVPs under him.
  8. He's a troll to troll. One of those people that have to go against the grain
  9. Career 21 yards per game for Sadiq. Would be one of the worst picks of all time.
  10. So this could be the most likely outcome based on our top 30 visits?
  11. Today
  12. That is so not true. Our receiving corps is wanting, and everybody seems to know it but you. Coker has proven to be good, not great. He's not fast or uber quick. And as you already have heard, the best ability is availability. The problem is that you don't want to use a first round pick on it because of your own rather arbitrary notions.
  13. We have taken two TEs in three seasons I think, and Sanders may not pan out or it may have been a sophomore slump, but we took a guy last year that was coming on. I am not in favor of TE in round one and really don’t consider it a high priority in any round.
  14. Trevon Moehrig, Turk Wharton, Bobby Brown, Jaelen Phillips, Devin Lloyd, Nic Scourton Giving him 6 starters in 2 offseasons that cost boat loads of money or a 2nd round pick... Not exactly handing the man scraps. The point of the draft is to make the team better. You want to make this about Bryce. It isn't. It's about improving the team. And if anyone can look at our offense and go "we're good", they are lying to themselves. You give quarterbacks weapons. We SCREAMED for YEARS to give Cam some help. But now because we are trying to do it for Bryce, you all are saying we are coddling him because of his "deficiencies". It's a double-standard because you don't like the guy, clearly. But even if he does fail, guess what? The next guy has help too. Win-win.
  15. we have 2 solid/above average (however you want to phrase that) wr's, which is more than half the league at least. We dont need to be blowing more first round capital just to placate Bryce and his limitations. We have one absolute stud (probably top 10 wr) in tmac and we have a high floor guy with insane potential if he can stay healthy. Yeah man we are in better shape than the bulk of the teams in the league. If you need to add some speed or whatever, sure draft in the mid rounds or wait until tc cuts. Its monumentally stupid to spend 3 straight firsts on a wr if thats the route they go. ITs just more and more excuses for Bryce, thats where we are at now. "How can bryce succeed without a big possession type wr (drafts 2 for him), how is bryce supposed to exceed without a speed guy......." Its fuging never ending. Give EE some goddamn help on defense for once
  16. Tight ends in the first round just have so much risk. Even guys that look like guarantees at the position, fail. OJ Howard is a big one that comes to mind (and I REALLY liked him and thought he was going to be a stud in the NFL). I know that every player/position can be a gamble, but when you look at Kyle Pitts (he's come a long way, but he has clearly underperformed), TJ Hockenson, Hayden Hurst, Noah Fant, Eric Ebron, etc., NONE of these guys changed the dynamic of their team for the better. Zero. In fact, most of them end up being traded before their rookie deal is up. This draft has some good tight ends. I wouldn't spend a 1st on one.
  17. Not true. I mean, come on dude. You went to "above average" to "solid." The teams that I mentioned have at least three solid options. Let's not waste time going through the motions. But, maybe someone will see it as fun. Njigba, Shaheed, Kupp (maybe even Barner and/or Arroyo). I didn't even lost everyone. The Jags, Minny, Detroit. I could probably go on. Our WR corps is just not up to snuff. Just admit it.
  18. I wouldn't cry over the pick, could work out well. I just see a crowded TE room that is already underutilized and some glaring needs elsewhere. But hey, what do I know? I wonder if the picks had been in reversed order and Jeremiah had picked (he has a North Carolina/App State background) would his better knowledge of Carolina have made a difference? Schrager has a great football mind, but we're such a minor league team to him I'm not sure if he knows or cares about our nuances.
  19. Green Bay was a team I was thinking. The others just have 2 solid options. And we are talking about teams with 3 solid above average options
  20. Panthers at about 41 minutes---breezed over it rather quickly, tbh. (about 45 seconds). I don't like the pick.
  21. The Spurs have the best record since the year started at 36-10 The Hornets right behind them at 32-14. That's not one lucky streak.
  22. Knox is expected to follow Martin to UNC.
